I am going to have to throw The Cronicles of Spellborn in as a new game that is brining some fresh mechanics:

-No Autotarget

-No Autoattack

-Only 6 skills/spells available at one time

-No Item based advancement. ie: Stats are not tied to what clothes you are wearing.

-No pre-destined Healer class. Each class has some healing ability.

-Emphasis on storyline and quests.

I am kinda surprised that the official TCoS website only has 90,000 registered users because they have been on the Most Hyped list on the front page here at mmorpg.com for quite a while. I would think that with all the people who travel through this site that more would find their way over to TCoS...

Ohh well, as long as they find that elusive US Publisher who wont meddle with the game mechanics, all will be well.

If you are able to play on the Euro Servers, the problem becomes the ever dreaded Lag. With this game having "real time" combat or at least giving players the ability to dodge manually and having to target players manually lag will kill you.

ps: I will be playing on the Euro Servers if no US publisher is announced at release.

If I remember correctly you can use those same "sigils" to enhance you spells as well?

I just started playing Rappelz and I have to say that game kicks some ass for a F2P game.

I think it would great if you were able to click on the title "Highest Ranked MMORPGs" and have it take you to the Games List and have it pre-filtered to only the released MMORPG's. Also (the whole reason I am writing this) have a link on "Most Anticipated MMORPGs" that takes you to a pre-filtered Games List with only the non-released games.

Might want to fix that read link to the whole article... I don't think www.mmorpg.com/XXXXXXXXXX is the correct address

On topic ... Unfortunately I can't help you on finding RP gamers / games.

But I will comment on your question of why people join RP servers if they don't RP. I join the RP servers on most MMO's I play because I find that the people on those servers are much more respectful and "adult".

There has to be good and bad dudes (or enemies and allies)  and you need to push this expirence.

Basicly mmos atm lack storytelling ability.

It is not the lack of a sandbox feeling, but the lack of a coherent theme / story that ties the world together.
