well game is released in europe and since only about 500 000 000  people live ther i guess that does not count so lets still hype it!

Game is released and peoplr should be able to rate the game instead of hyping it.

Well without the soloers or casual players any game will have low playerbase(this does not include WoW since that game is a cult and they dont even have to maintain their game).Take a game like EQ2, a game with one of the most content of current mmos.EQ2 is very fun to play and has loads of options for you all the time till you reach max level, then it is game over for casual players or soloers or what you wish to call that group of players ,just becouse the only way to advance after max level is by playing in large groups and that is not what majority of onlinegamers want to do.Back to the OP he asked "Solo play killed EQ2?" Sure they did kill it by canceling their accounts after reaching max level and found out that this game has an endgame that only is made for large groups.

Gees man, EQ2 is one of the moste solo hostile game out there!! As in any other online game you can level solo but that is all, no solo content no decent loot if you want to solo,just go on raid if you want to advance.

Hi,I'm considdering to try Chronicles of Spellborn when it is released in few days(I live in europre so it is  to hitt the selfs this friday).Was only able to play the game for a few days during the open beta so I know nothing about how much space they are letting pvp take.I myself dont like pvp and would not want to start playing a game wich ends up in nothing to do but pvp.For about year ago or so the game seemd to be very much pvp orientet but if I'm not missunderstanding the info I come across searching then they have been changing that and therfore game have been delayed many times.But any concrete info is hard to find, for me anyway:-)

I agree imo AC is the best mmo ever made. And turbine are still adding comtent every month.I did play the game many years ago,it was mt first mmo.I  played for about 3 years and then I did cancel my accounts and went on with other games.Well few months ago I had canceled the game I was playing and I could not find any new game I wantet to play and it was several months till next releace so I made some effort contacting turbine about revoke my 2 old AC accounts(when I left AC it was still managed by M$)and in just few houres they confirmed that both my accounts were intact. I resubscribed and have been having very fun revisiting AC.I still think AC is the best mmo ever made but it is very complex and has long learning curve.

In my opinion EQ2 is a great game with a lot of content,the game has at high levels very much focus on raids and I think that is the reason for the low playerbase.most people dont like raids,tho reading forums around internet raid lovers are overrepresentatet.Regular players quit when they find the only way to advance their character further is by raiding or doing pvp. This is my opininon and I hope we all will continue to love our games for a long time, yake care.

There are still lot of active people playing that game,if you never played it earlyer just ask for a guild invite in the general chat and then you will have all the guidness you need in the game.Player base is mature never see any bullshit in the general chat nowdays.Good luck.

Reading the forums here at mmorpg and other forums there seem to be a huge lack of decent ffa pvp mmo games. Those who like pvp does not seem to find a game designed for their needs.Well I have to say that this is not a problem for pvp people only but most players find lot of stuff missing in their current game.People who like endgame raiding do hate the grind it takes to reach max level so you can start the raiding grind instead,those who love pvp cant stand the fact that not all players want pvp in the game and most of the content is non pvp.Those who like to play alone or in small groups seldom find anything to do in today mmo's.I'm not sure how to solve this conflict of interest.For exampel a player who mostly playes alone or in a small group has no change to get decent loot ever.If you ask why, you get the ansver well it is easy to play solo dont expect to find any decent loot! Imo this is very incorrect, killing stuff soko is very much harder than doing it in groups or raids.To solve this would be best if we got an ingame engine that realy would count how much risk you take in every counter.For pvp versus pve I'm not sure how to solve the loot problem(in most games you get pionts where you can buy uber stuff for and imo that is not fair when you go play pve).Maybe the best way would be to make 3 different kind of games one for pvp other for raid and third for people who like to play solo or in small groups pve.  Lot of pvp gamers are looking forward to Darkfall now and I realy hope that game will live up to their hopes. But there is a backside of it and that is,not many gamers who dislike pvp will buy the game and those are many.Same would go for a game designed for raids only not many would buy it,as now many people join raids in their game as a consiquence of reaching the endgame.I belive that any successfull game must have very good pve and solo small group content or they will have to live with a limitet player base.You can point at wow and say that game hase few levels of grinding then it is all raids or pvp,but wow had very differant launch from any other game becouse they did open a new world for millions of people that never heard of mmo games earlyer,and now it is cult. Well guys lets just hope that the game of our dreams soon hit the shelfs:-))

I'm very tired of all current mmo's, same everyvere reach max level and then start raiding to gear up your character, I dont like this.

What is grind? Do you want to start play games at max level? Well I got an idea, make 2 kinds of mmo's one with nothing but raids you make your character stronger by the gear you gain by raiding and another with no level limit endless grinding making your character better every level and no raids.There you have two kinds of grinding,one where you are depending on large groups to be able to advance your character by joinin raids"with all conflicts that comes with that" and another where you can choose if you want to play solo or play in small groups. now just lets guess what of those two kind of games would be more popular in the long run?

I like leveling and what comes with it but on the other hand when you reach max level and nothing left but some boring raid, that is where I move to another game and do the leveling stuff.

The longer time it takes to reach max level the better,usually I quit games after I have maxed since I dont like the raid endgame most games have.
