You can't just "play" GW. There's like 4 or 5 things to buy now or one big "Gold Edition" So it's not like most can just "pick it up". Great game, but only if you can get away with a $30 total bill MINIMUM!!

And in my opinion....all are different. AoC was great fun and not brutal. Maybe best over all. LotRO would be a close second. Even better with friends. Skip EQ2 because it doesn't measure up any more. DDO is too limited (even free).

I belong to a guild that was 1k members from start. Had no problem soloing or grouping and finding both equally entertaining....

You telling me you can't personally tell me what they have nerfed? Yes I can tell you, but explaining to someone who thinks NERFS did not happen is a waste of my time and yours. You can go on believing what you want. Go to DDO.COM and see the changes to spells coming in this update, that is a list of nerfs if you play a CC caster. This should be simple for you to do.

 

It is not ridiculous when new players say the game is too easy as well. What is ridiculous is you know nothing about what has happened but here you are spouting off like you do know. Maybe some research before posting would help your weak and clueless debate about undeniable facts of the game. But do not let me slow down your momentum.

 

You seem to think people sneak a high level in and they do not know it. Your claims are simply silly at best and downright unknowledgable at worst. You know nothing of DDO if you think there have been no changes or nerfs. When did you supposedly play this game? I hope you design games with more thought then you post with.

 

Maybe you should just talk about games you actually play. Then you might not look so clueless, DDO is obviously not a game you know much about. But thanks for the laughs.

Well first of all 2 weeks till release the BETA TEST should not be at all buggy. The game should be polished to perfection. And 2 weeks till release the game should be 100% complete.  If we dont hold the developers of the games we PAY for responsable for poor judgement then every game released will allways be fail in some way.

Same old BS argument. 2 weeks has nothing to do with it when most MMOs have an advanced version server for internal testing. You have NO frigging idea what can be done in two weeks. To say you do is asinine at best.

That said, they better do something more for the game...as I don't see the bugs, just the "ho hum" game play of the "as usual" mmo we see these days.

Why Permadeath?  All toons will eventually die. when they do, you can have the option to play as zombie (then go for zombie progression leaderboard stuff like : days of existence, human kills, camps conquered, gear "acquired", evolution stages ( maybe zombies evolve like others have said)

Now the replayability comes in because you create a family or "House"  you have to manage. You, a spouse and a child.  Three slots. Spend time and resources on the family to expand playable slots. Full loot PvP should also be part of the mix as well. Because loot is rare and death is so high - you keep what you kill. Storage space should be rare. A zombie may pick up a machete from a fresh pvp kill, but they have to figure if they should go back to a cave (with your zombie life timer clicking ) or forge ahead with your killing attacks enhanced. If your zombie body dies, your machete stays there lootable by anyone. More valuable items might have a drop protection % on it. Meaning a small chance your item falls to the ground unnoticed except you.

 

 

CYCLICAL GAMEPLAY.  PERIOD BEGINS. SET TIME PASSES.  GIANT ZOMBIE ONSLAUGHT.  PERIOD ENDS. 18 pages of arguing solo vs group play when the OP said he/she groups with around 2 people. Can you people read? Or just "read into" whatever is posted?

People should stop worrying what others do in game. It's getting old. Game makers in MMOs had better realize that people are different and stop catering to one aspect of MMO gaming. If I'm tired and don't want to group, give me something to do. If I want to group in a large group every night, give US something to do. Same for small groups.

Problem is, the developers are to narrow minded these days. Gotta be all PvP, half assed PvP, or no PvP.  No good mix for the masses. Same with grouping/solo play.

I myself, think about this sometimes when slaughtering hundreds of inocent criters.  I think the op has brought up a good topic.  My first real mmo was SWG and I enjoyed being a doctor and bufing people hours on end, and there was no fighting involved.  But theres still that sense that your helping some one else slaughter/massmurder criters.  There has to be some medium to fullfill that dosnt require the mass genocide of some mob in a game, but yet still keep the exitement level up.

but how does boxing have to do with mmorpgs....i understand your point..but jeez...were talking mmorgs here..not some ones personal self anguish of weather not said person can take watching boxing or not.  Besides watching something and interacting online are two different things.  At least in the end if some one decides that boxing isnt the thing for that person because its to brutal, then that person can feel ok because that person didnt participate in what said persons didnt like about it, but when a person is interacting with something you dont have that pleasure of knowing that you didnt partisipate in the pilaging/distruction/mass murder of innocent creatures.

 

Boxing is SO similar to MMOs it's not funny.
