if these 2 classes are more ranged do they still use lightsabers?  for me i would prefer the choice to be some sort of skill system than a class.  seems like a waste of  a class but i am interested to try it out.

SWG today is much better than the initial NGE version.  I do however still miss the old, in many ways i wish they could combine the two.  I really wish the skill based system was still in place.  Ive tried a lot of the games out there but i still find myself going back to SWG.  I do love the freedom and house system, but i wish they would do more to add to the GCW!

i would love to play a wild west MMO!!  would be nice if you had a crafting side, you can open up a shop in town or a saloon!

we dont know enough about the game but i think its safe to say its not going to be another swg.  lets face it the original swg is dead and nothing is coming out thats going to replace it.   i wish another sandbox type game would come out and would love for it to be star wars but its just not happening.

You seem to be jumping the gun...nobody really knows how the finished product is going to turn out. But I think that if the end game is lacking the game will flop.  =p   I'm not a WoW groupie...but it does have tons of things to do once you hit level cap.

If I was going to make a new MMORPG I would put in solid endgame raiding first as well as other things to keep people interested in the game once they hit level cap. Most these new MMO's I get bored after I hit max level because there is little to do or it's broken/buggy. Like AOC and WAR.

i agree

there is nothing wrong with swg fans voicing their opinions.  obviously there are people that want a certain type of game and should be allowed to voice it.  that doesnt mean bioware is going to follow it, its up to them to make their game.  and there is no reason for you to let people kill TOR as you said.  just dont listen to them if you dont agree.

it doesnt make sense to have it unlockable and i dont think its going to happen.  the old swg system was cool but its gone now and i dont think it will ever come back in any game.

People can attack sandbox all they want, but only games with lots of variety, depth, endgame etc. is worth my time.

The Internet, our powerful PCs, the technology of today BEG for a game that is truly EPIC and LARGE with CHOICES. People talk about simulation as if it was a bad thing, I don't.

Make a good game - with awesome gameplay, classes with SKILLs rather than levels - or even classless - make depth, endgame, player housing, a real player economy, make player vendors meaningful and not just an AH - give us a REAL deep crafting system and a hunt and fight for ressources - drop those damn instances that removes the players from the game world - engage us in a large open world -- and don't even THINK on making a Star Wars game where space is a frigging expansion - give us all that, and then ......... and then ................ then...

I WILL MAKE MY OWN FRIGGIN STORY _ THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH !!

i agree with you!  But i do think we need more information about this game.  We've already waited this long might as well give it a shot.

i myself would like more information before i make judgements, but i understand your thinking thus far.

If it attracts and keeps enough players to be profitable and continue going... then it is a successful product. It doesn't have to be a smash success, or a so-called "WoW killer".

I agree.  Every game doesnt have to be a "WOW killer" to be a success.  Thats part of the problem now, every company wants to be WOW.  What we need is some innovation not more copies of WOW.  This game looks promising i hope it can deliver.

No Bioware should make the game THEY want to make and gamers can decide whether to play or not...

i agree.  remember what SOE did by "listening" to players = NGE

thanks for the link.  problem with these interviews and articles is they say NOTHING...lol

i agree it is hard to be patient when we've been anticipating this for years already.  I know its all about marketing.  So i try to be patient.

“Players have been very upbeat on the forums and the questions are mostly about the future and what the game is about moving forward,” added Alan Crosby, Director of Community Relations.

This is a joke right?? who are they kidding?  what forums are they looking at Wow?

I know others have probably asked, but im looking for a new mmorpg.  i have played SWG and WoW.  I loved the OLD SWG (pre nge of course) and got bored with wow kind of quick.  I like owning my own house, collecting and making friends.  I lean towards sci-fi but willing to try anything good.  any recommendations?  what do you like of that game?

thanks for the help!

nicely stated.  maybe you should apply to head up SOE  they really need your incite!!!!!!

SLOW!

Everything sounds good! I just hope they can do it on schedule and not over the next 3 years.  I cant wait to play a complete game!

Thank You!
Was wondering if anyone went to the summit in Atlanta on friday?  And to hear about what happened at it?
