How do I know?  As long as I am seeing progress with the game being developed, I will stick with it. 

Like I said in the OP... this is the only indie company I have seen that is constantly keeping the customers updated with updates on almost a daily basis.... 

When is Xsyon's release date again? How complete is the game? Surely you can answer that.

Edit: Ah, gotcha. As long as the developers keep the playerbase updated, it doesn't matter how unfinished the game is at release. No hypocrasy there at all.

There is a private classic DAOC server out there that has a daily peak pop of 800-1000. Not allowed on these forums to give the info on it, but if you do a search you should find it. I highly suggest you look it up.

I didn't even know people still quested in WOW. I thought everyone just hung out in their capital city and used the dungeon finder to run dungeons to level 80. People actually leave town?

Warhammer already had very low subscription numbers, and is pretty much circling the drain at this point, after their billing fiasco. I wouldn't play it.

AoC is releasing their expansion next month, so that should increase their population at least in the short term.

I personally prefer AoC over EQ2, having played both.

I've never played Vanguard because of the population issues, but if they were to do this I would play.

My biggest complaint of LOTRO and the reason I cancelled is that the xp you get from killing mobs is so low. You are pretty much forced to quest to level. There are times when I just don't feel like questing and want to grind on mobs, but you can't in LOTRO because the mob xp is so low.

Well what a wet blanket he is eh? LOTRO is the easiest game to solo level and the easiest game to play. If he can't struggle past 30 or gets bored easily with the amount of quests in LOTRO then he shouldn't be playing mmos. Part of playing the game is seeking out new areas, finding new quests and npcs and things to do. It's all there, but this guy just can't be bothered, he'd rather come on here and cry about not being able to get past level 30.

 I wonder what he'll move on to... EVE?

Not every game is for every person. You can't expect everyone to enjoy LOTRO and bash them if they don't. I've played 14 MMOs over the last 11 years and LOTRO just wasn't for me either. Should I quit playing MMOs also?

I would appreciate a code if anyone has one. I haven't played COH in years, would be interesting to check it out again.

If you prefer sandbox mmos, then no. Nothing.

If you enjoy themepark mmos, then probably SWTOR.

Last I heard, Chronicles of Spellborn was dying. You might want to do a little research on the population, and whether it will be around in a few years before getting into it.

I second the Lotro suggestion.

EQ2 is also a very good game and has a good community, but the lower level areas are pretty empty. If you don't mind that, then give EQ2 a shot.

There was another person with the same problem and Sony transferred his character to an active server free of charge.

I would try the same thing. As for a good server, I prefer Bloodfin myself. It's got a pretty good population.

I would resub both of my DAOC accounts in a heartbeat if an Origins/Classic server was released. I doubt it will ever happen though.
