I just got done my nine day trail of the game and loved it.  I am thinking about purchasing the game but was just wondering what server(s) have the largest server population.  The server I was playing on (dont remember off the top of my head which one it was) seemed to be very under populated.  For the whole time I was playing I feel like I only saw about 30 or so other people playing.  Are all the servers like this or did I just happen to pick a low populated one?

I havent had much of a chance to get into any games lately but I just bought a new pc today and am looking to get back into a game.  I have played just about all of them with the exception of those just released withing the last year.  Any suggestions would on new and old MMO would be great.  Thanks

Look into Meridian 59.  I have not been keeping up on it lately so not sure how well the game is surviving but it would be worth a shot.  IMO it has one of the best PvP system of probally any game I have ever played.

you may be refering to a different post, but did you just say PSO was the first mmo? When did that game come out? 2000? 1999? Meridian 59 has been out since 1996 and although it did not quite plow the way for future mmos like UO did it was much better in many different areas than UO was

Yes it is still active, not like it once was but there are still people there.  Its a small comunity but in my opinion that what made the game what it is. I would say give it a try.  check out http://www.gilcon.net/meridian/ for some more active forms and info on the game

Not sure about vista, but back when i played i was running it off of xp, if its a game your thinking about i say give it a try but give it some time when you do its not the prettiest of games

If i pre-ordered RoK shouldn't i have gotten all the previous stuff too like EoF? I though i read somewhere that RoK was an all in one bundle.

For some reason i am very intreged to make an Arasai Guarding.  Any suggestions for this would be great if you guys have any.  I realize it will be difficult but before i start i was wondering if it will be even realistically possible to make a useful toon out of him?

I purchased the digital download. So thats all i need to do it will install automatically when it goes live?

Just a quick question on how to install RoK when it is released.  I pre-ordered so was just wondering how to install it after release.  If i have it pre-ordered will it install automatically or will there be something on the site i pre-ordered from to download it?

I will agree that Antonia Bayle seemed to be the most new player friendly server i found. I started with a conjurer as my first char and im loving it, but I have been having fun with my Trubador as well. I would say just give a few a try and see what you like best.  Im also pretty new to the game but i havent really found there to be much difference between races so i dont really think it matters, but im not positive on that.

My trial ran out last week and i was going to wait until RoK went live to get the game but i just couldnt wait.  I needed to get back in and play right away.  I stayed up playing last night and only got an hour of sleep before i had to get up and go to class.  Now im sitting in the lounge of my campus waiting for my next class to start and all i can think about is going how and playing some more.  I just wish i would have given this game a chance sooner, say about 3 years ago when it came out

But anyway while in on the topic of the game if anyone would like to just give me a few tips and pointers about the game that would be great.  (anything will do im not really looking for anything specific.)

Also i was just wondering in there was a way to have a hot key bar come up only when you open a certain screen such as the crafting screen of if there is a way i can rotate bars so only one of them is up at a time?

I was planning on adding a poll on what class was the most fun, but every time i put a poll in no one answers it.  Im not very hardcore at mmo's i dont have the time play hardcore to try and max level and what not so i do just play for fun, i was just wondering what peoples opinions were on the classes.

Ok so im bored out of my mind right now so just wanted to see what everyones best memories form their favorite mmo are. (Yes im sure this topic has been done a million times before but i never saw one so lets try to start another one.)

For me, my best memory from an MMO was from my first.  It was the last day of beta for Meridian 59 (About 10 or 11 years ago now). For the whole server it was just pretty much one huge party.  Everyone crowded around the streets of Tos talking about what they are going to do after launch and what not.  In the next zone over it was just pretty much all out chaos with people killing each other left and right just for the hell of it. Everyone was trying to figure out what server they were going to play on tomorrow.  The developers and guides where all there joining in on the fun. (It is still to this day one of the best times i ever had in a mmo, and im sure it would have been a lot more fun had i not been like 10 or 11 years old at the time)

Everyone feel free to post their best memories so me and everyone one else that is bored out of their minds right now can have some thing entertaining to read.

My vote would go towards Meridian 59 (although it is a little biased because it was my first mmo)

I guess my second unbiased vote would go to eve.

Ok so my trial on eq II just ran out so i have about 3 weeks to wait for RoK and just wanted to know what the "best" classes for certain roles would be.

1. Best Solo Class

2. Best Support Class (Buffs)

3. Best Support Class (Heals)

4. Best Tank

5. Best Nuker

6. Best Ranged Class

7. Best Class for Debuffs on mobs

Also i just wanted to know some stuff about Crafting

1. Most profitable

2. Most Useful

Please feel free to add anything you would like to this list if i left something out or go into discussion about the classes. I need something to do for the next 3 weeks while i wait for RoK

This is probally a stupid question cause im sure it says it somewhere but i didnt see it.  I pre-ordered RoK today, but when it goes live how do i download it?  Will i download it off of SOE's page or will i download it off the EQ start screen?

haha not that anyone will actually read this any time soon but just wanted to say hey to you guys still playing meridian.   Whats server pop now days? Reins still warring? Well if anyone still playing this reads this post something just for the hell of it. Im just to lazy to check gilroys.
