Its just been release so the game will have performance problems. Go have a look at any forum for a new game. There will always be ppl complaining about poor performance.

The grind. This is not a problem of the game. You guys just don't like mmorpgs anymore. Your looking for something different and when you don't find it you find someone to blame.

I odn't believe wow, eq, vanguard are bad games in anyway. There all much the same and work in the same lvling / xp / time = lvl. If you didn't play a mmo before you would probally enjoy all mmo depending on graphics and look. The fact is we all get bored of the xp, quest grind. Thats all mmorpgs have to offer atm so get use to it.

It took me under 2 days wthi a 2gb connection. Ignor the remaing time thng it do it in parts. so youmight just have enoughier part once it hit 0

I'm confused by your computer. DDR2 ram is for very new motherboades but you have a very old gru and old cpu in there. I don't know ati that well so im not sure what 550 is. From my understanding that would be mega old. You could probally build yourself a £400 computer that will play vg on balanced. Probally could get high with £900.

It's the whole problem with mmorpgs. There all about lvling and grinding. theres no skill involved. It would be like playing chess if you had to move you knights 20 times before you can move all the other piece. Alot of gamers don't like the restraints put in with lvl and skill points.

Everyone is screaming for better 'gameplay' but no developers want to move away from the lvl / skill / grind mentality.

If you're asking if i would play vanguard, eq2, wow on my own little server with no one else on, I would have to say no. Without other ppl playing the feeling of reward and excitment would feel lessened. I play mmoRPGs because there online and multiplayer, not because they have enjoyable gameplay.

You need more memory. You crash because you gpu is bringing up the memory straight from the hard drvie. This will cause you alot of hitching and low fps and crashing. You should buy more ram. 512 of ram is pretty old now. Ignor the min requirements on the box. 1 gb in min 2 recommended.

MmoRPG are all mainly about lvling. The all have some kind of grind system. WOW = quest grind. eve= isk grind, vg, eq2, eq1 = mob grind.

I would prefre a game that more about the world and story and pvp. That has no levels / skill system. I want a first person shooter,  Grand theft auto, real estate, business, battlefields, space combat game with interest solo storys and fun tactical groups. Mixed in with a bit of real time strategy. Shame no ones created it yet. If anyone has a spare 50 mil in the bank ill help you create a fun mmo.

I'm playing the game fine. No different than bf2142, scda, eq2. Specially when a game has such steep requiments it has more problems. Wow kept this simple so it had less of a problem. I don't like wow, i like vanguard.

I would get a new computer. You could probally build a computer for £800-900 that will run vg on balanced/ high settings.
