I find it ironic how some people complain about the lack of solo content in mmorpgs. I mean, the whole point of an mmo is to play with others. So why then are there people who just want to play on their own? Why don't they just play a normal rpg? I would be a lot cheaper. I sincerely hope English is not your first language.

I used to hear that sort of thing a ton but now that MMOs are becoming mainstream I get it less often. However I would gladly hear that crap again if I could go back to the days when MMOs had a smaller community. There are just too many young kids and people who lack basic etiquette on most of the games now. (nothing wrong with kids it is just that I would rather play with people my own age) In my opinion it was worth it to constantly hear "an online game? huh? this is what you do for fun?" but log on and play with people who can spell words. It is very hard for me to find like-minded players nowadays. |

OP, it sounds as if you are bashing WoW and asking the players to try LotRO instead. However you should take into account that a lot of people play WoW for the PvP (as good or bad as it may be, I'm not claiming that WoW pvp is good or bad) and LotRO just isn't a game for PvPers. If people love questing or things like RPing then I agree and highly reccomend Lord of the Rings Online but when recruiting people you should mention the PvP so that you arn't drawing people into the game that are going to hate it and give it bad word of mouth. |

Think about it this way. WoW is the first MMO for many many people. Isn't it a good thing that they are used to a game that has very little bugs/glitches? It will raise the standards for MMOs in that aspect. When new games come out these people will not be familiar with problems like falling through the world, not being able to turn in quests and your character randomly losing items. Since they are used to playing a smooth game they will not tolorate these problems and so new MMOs will need to raise the bar. This is a very good thing for those of us who have been playing MMOs for a long time. |

I've been playing MMOs for almost a decade as well (and most of the major ones at launch) and in my opinion WoW was very polished on release. Most of the issues were server issues because of the booming popularity. It wasn't completely bug free but compared to others it was really a step above. As far as the most bug-free MMO at release I agree with the person who said FFXI. I played from the day the Japanese (remember, it went live in JP before anywhere else) servers went live (retail) and never myself encountered a single bug. I'm sure things came up but I never heard of anything major during the time that I played. |

I have a related question that maybe someone in beta can answer. The CE comes with 'heads' does that mean that at character creation you pick a head or do you pick the hair/face/etc. separately? I am glad to hear more news about the trophy system since this hasn't popped up in a while although I wish there were some example screenshots. |

I am not a Darkfall fan but I still wanted to say that what that dev said was very unprofessional. Regardless of what people think about Darkfall that kind of trash talking should be left to consumers. Both sides should wait until their games are released and let the players make the final choice. |

Requiem is pretty good if you can push yourself enough to get to the higher levels with the neat stuff like Beast Possession and DNA. Mabinogi is also good but it took so long to come out in English the graphics are very outdated. Like someone else already said, Guild Wars is free. (however you have to buy the game box) I doubt you have played even 1/4 of the free MMOs. Also some games do not start getting fun until you gain a fair amount of levels (even more so if you are in it for the PvP)

Maybe try Guild Wars? You can start at the max level for PvP. |

My score came out just like I figured it would. I am pretty balanced. (except for social stuff, I'm bad at that and I am anti-social) Although I do hold exploring slightly above achievements and killing but I enjoy all three. EAKS EAKS players often live by the phrase 'The journey is often more enjoyable than the destination.' They are motivated by meeting the challenges of the world, but they are usually in no rush--because seeing the creatures and places of the world is even more fun. Breakdown: Achiever 53.33%, Explorer 60.00%, Killer 53.33%, Socializer 33.33%
