There are 13 Servers open in the EU. I dont play often anymore, just now and then for some Scenarios. Most are Med/Med or High/Med or med/high. Seems its still strong in EU. But how long that will last no-one knows :P

So Tasos said they had 100,000's of people waiting to sign up and their were running the game as a paid beta till they could get more servers up in the US.

But now it seems darkfall is officially released today, and anyone can buy the game anytime, except... well no new servers are needed!! The dev's say their one server can handle all their subs. Their one server that is already jam packed full and lagging each night.

So Basically, it was rubbish about how many people wanted in, instead they have 1 server, maybe 10-15k subs and thats it. No rampaging hordes of PVP'ers wanting in. There are no more servers opening, there is no hordes at the gates waiting to get in, this is it, no more servers, no influx of players.

The game wont ever be in stores. they have been trying for many years to get it into shops, but no publishers or game stores will touch this one with a barge pole.

Oh rubbish. they just dont have enough demand or cash to open another server. If they ahd that much demand banks would be biting their hands off to give them the money to open up a US server.

So me and a friend decided that despite the gameguard problems to try the game. We googled TcoS free trial and downloaded the trial from the acclaim site.

We have been playing maybe 3-4 hours, but we are starting to think we are not on the UK/EU server. Is their any way to tell, we didnt have to enter any kind of regional info, it just plopped up into this server, that had a choice of PVE and PVP. Is this just 2 servers for the world, or did we stupidly miss the region select.

I mainly want to know as we are trying to get more of our wow guild over here to play, but realised we didnt really know what server we were on.. lol yes im stupid. Obviously only 4 hours in is no problem to re-roll, its just about 10 of our friends have started downloading the client and are waiting for me to tell them what server to join!!

PS we are all UK/Euro people

For what it's worth, im also in the UK with Virgin and regularly get the 200,000+ ping in this game. Doesnt happen in AO, Spellborn or EQ2 though.

Never managed to fix it, our AO clan were all UK players anbd most of us had this problem, most of us were with virgin, BT, and Sky. Darkfall Support said it was the UK ISP's at fault and not to log another ticket "moaning!" lol. We have all just gone to try out spellborn. If you manage to fix it let us know!

I heard about it last night, and like the idea of pvp so thought i would see whats its all about, however im seeing on other forums, that people think the game may be a scam and not actually really? Is this right? I have even seen the same posted on digg and twitter, warning people to stay away as its an elaborate credit-card scam.

Any trusth to this? Cant seem to find any legit official forums to ask in sorry.

The most i can manage is balanced at 1600x1050 which is my monitors native res, even lowering it to 1400x900 doesnt help, it still chops, stutters and randomly freezes for a few secs. FPS seems high normally, but the hitching is driving me beserk, and now and again im walking around and suddenly everything stops for 5 secs and my char seems to jump or fall from the sky.

Came back hoping for better really, as this system is 10 times faster than my old PC, but it seems to be barely an improvement. Any idea how to fix the hitching and save my Pc rage?

I play at 1680x1050 on my 22" Widescreen.

I have most settings on High, i just disabled Bloom and Made shadows Characters only and i get 30-60FPS.

30's in cities, but up to 60fps out in the world.

My wife has the same Pc and same thing. With a nice Dual Core a 8600 will run the game in a high res and most settings on High, you shoudl expect 30-60fps depending on if your in a city or not. A 8600 is more than enough for conan

So basically you reviewed the tutorial, not even that only HALF the tutorial. 1-20 takes no time at all and is used as a tutorial. Its the same as WoW's starting area's except you can clear it in under and hour if you wanted to.

And im pretty sure they will keep 250k Subs. Hell there are 100-200k people alone just playing early access, apprently 600k+ Pre-ordered, so a good guess for subs at the end of the month would be 500k-1m.

Well Cimmeria has a lot of RP going on, but as i said, a hell of a lot of random ganking and the fact they all are naked women.

Wicanna, well im not sure if this was the unnofficial RP PVE at first, there is zero RP, and retty immature. There are a few big ex WoW guilds on there, but the talk is childish at best. As for the Goon guild on this server, well it seems they are worse than the rest. Zero sign of this being a RP server yet.

Cimmeria = 99% of the people are topless women ganking each other. I stayed a whole 20mins before i moved to the PvE server. Sadly still seemed to be 75% topless women, but at least no ganking.

And no, sadly i would avoid Wicanna, most do not know its a RP server, and there are a lot of those Goon guys from Somethingawful.com on that server, and i mean LOTS of them :s

25-45 FPS on average. No hitching at all. Loadtimes are about 20secs

Very suprised it runs this well and looks this good after all the whining i saw!

As most servers were Full and had login Queues they have opened more servers. See post on official forums, they will keep adding servers over the next 3 days until the real launch.

Seems they have 35 servers ready if demand is needed! They must be expecting a LOT of people,  they have 20 servers so far and most have Queues!
