I don't  mind the lack of hype. Its SOE and WB they will be hyping it up the @$$ here in a few weeks or months when they are ready to do so. Maybe they dont want to hype it up tell they are more confadent about its release date. I'm sure in a few weeks G4, Cartoon network, CW and Syfy channel will be having commercial after commercial about this game. Besides name the last good and sucessfull mmo that got lots of hype and lived up to it?

I agree the chance to roll a villian would be nice ,but I think if they released both at the same time the villians would out number the heroes by 20 to 1 and would couse pvp to be realy unbalenced. I see them doing like they did with CoH/CoV release the Heroes verstion work out all the bugs release some dlc and finaly relase the Villians Edtion. I see the logic and it makes sence.. It still suck thoe.

I played SWG about a year after it came out (to give it time to fix some of the HUGE bugs my friends at work had compained about.) I felt it to be lacking a sence of admertion for the players. In most of the mmos I have played I felt like I was the hero or villian on the screan, hell even WOW most times made me feel like I was a Gnome Rouge stalking her prey.  But SWG never made me feel that. Also single player crafting stunk. I quite after 2 months and started playing COH.

I would like to throw my two cents in. I am a Homosexual and a nerd. I like to think of myself as a nerd who happends to be gay. There are many in the GLBT commuinty who think the same way as I do.  If BioWare is only banning acounts who are miss using the word "gay" in a hatefull or demeaning fastion then thats okay with me. Also if some one  who is Homosexual post something that is not deamed aprpeat for the forms (like a nearly nude pic of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo going at it) this is okay to ban too. But if they are banning acounts of gays and lesbiens becose they posted an artical in the off topic boards about gay right issues or post in the guild forms about how someones making a GLBT/ GSA guild then that is bad.

Yes teens and closed minded people use the word gay or lebiean in a verry negitve way and the word has almost become a sware word by forum moderators but this words need to be looked at in context. 

I agree the quality of games have been droping for some time now. I have three verry good reason why this has been happing.

1 The cost of gaming has sky rocketed way up. In the old day it would take like four guys to make a game ten if you where making a rpg or a pc game.  Now you have to have a huge teams of diffrent sizes working on diffrent parts of your game to make your game function.

2 Marketing has been telling developers and the true creative mines of gaming what to do. This means oyu have the bean counter who only care about money not caring about making a good game only a game they think will sale to a demigraphic they want to sale to. Once the game industry stops fallowign the orders of the Marketing department you could see some realy great games come out.

3 Us the consumer. With games costing now $50 -$60. We demand games that don't make us think we want a game thats like  Halo, GTA, EQ2, WOW, Final Fantasy, and Mario. No one wants to try something new. Why do you think most of the game that are coming out are remakes or Sequals to games that came out 20 years ago. Becouse we the consumer suck. If people would try a demo or use Game Fly and try and maybe even buy new and diffrent games with new ideas then maybe game companys will make new and cool games.

BTW there are companys and developers who care. They mostly work for BioWare and Valve.

WAR is a new game, WAR is a pvp game, it should have more combat features than a game that's four years old.

There's nothing in WAR combat wise that you can't get in any free to play MMO.

Hey Didn't you have a post where you whined about the twinks ruining WAR and how you where to stupid not to Kill the healer and go the the armor mercent and get your gear. In that same post did you not complain about how the armor was to much and how you could not aford it. You sound like troller or a realy crapy player to me.

I played, I saw , I did a little dance. I loved it and I can't wait now for open beta and for the game to go live.  To me it was fun I had lots of options on what I wanted to do.

Wait are we complaining about how Mythic is only letting those who put some effort to say they will play the game and reward them for there loyalty by giving them  a chance to stress test and try to find bugs in the programing. Beta are not for free play they are to help programers find faults in the programing and to help do miner touch ups before the game comes out. All they want from us is to see if we like the product and help them make it better.

You know like about 2 years ago when Mythic started publishing the newletters that they did say that there was not going to be an offical forum board and that they where where going to let majior fan sites get the news and heads up on up coming patch notes. So this is  nothing new.  Personaly Im more worried about game play and not so worried about if they are or are not doing forums.

Im not a Star Wars nerd but I do injoy the univers of Star Wars and I loved the KOTOR games. So I defently will give this a try. Hopefully they wont screw it up.

Sound like the "We have an idea on what we want to do but havent made up our minds yet, but here what we all did agree on" type of answers. I honestly dont know why they did a Q&A this soon. Most of the question would most likly be answered with the we cant talk about that or the its in the works type responce. Im not saying it was a bad thing they did it, its just the fan of these types of games have realy deep or hard hitting questions that the dev team cant answer becouse of numerus resons.

Wait i think they may have some form of in game money and there will be people from asia saling it and spaming their wears. What about we see what they do and see if the game if fun. I don't  care if the game brings anything new to the mmo table all I care about is will it be fun and balanced with a huge replay factor to make me come back and play more.

What would you like to them bring over from COX. And what would you like to see them add that COX  never had.

I would love them to keep the supper bases and the fact it skill not gear bassed.

I would love to see travel powers that where mashine based. Also to have the travel powers  fit the look of the player oragin and not look all the same.

I would like to thank all those who responded to my thread. I did go out and buy the game I got EQ2 and all the exspantions and some of the other extra content for $40. But the gaming gods  seem to be against me my dvd rom drive isn't going to read the disk ...... WTFH !!!!1111

I did do the trial. What I want to know is how is a player comuntiy like and the partys like. An mmo can realy be made or broken by how the players act to each other.

Ok  I did play WOW and I still do but I'm getting board and I need something new. I played the free trail where you where on the island and it looked completly diffrent and played imo better than the first.

So heres a couple of question I need to ask befor making my final answer.

1 Im not going to go at it hard core dose this game let non-hard core players get gear and stuff with out forcing them to become hard core.

2 I also like to talk about non game things is this shuned at or will the players also talk about  non game things.

3 What are PUGs like and is the community helpfull to new players who don't know what to do.
