It would not open for me even with WinRAR, but I went into the FilePlanet downloader and told THAT to open it and it worked just fine.

Much appreciated, Khartman, but I have an AGP slot. I have a 6800...but the GPU burned out. Need to send it in to BFG for a replacement.

Getting a really odd graphical anomaly. The texture on random polys will just disappear, causing a weird shimmering effect as random spots suddenly turn clear, then normal again. Might it just be my horrid video card? FX 5600.

Right now, the game engine and development tools for the game are what is being focused on so they can get the much needed funding to continue development of the game itself. I do know that a while back they did sell a license to some other company, but I can't remember who.

The company that licensed it is a bit of an unknown. Maybe you've heard of BioWare? Did a little game calle KOTOR and NWN.

I am all over this as soon as its available.

I haven't even gone online yet. Loving single player and not finding any bugs even as bad as Diablo 2 when it was released.

Guess I'm too distracted by the single player game to notice...think I'll wait till December if their are so many online issues.

There is ONE point here that I just HAVE to call BS on. That last one. Am I the only one that thinks the Charr are basically slightly reskinned Gnolls? Add a little bit of shamanism and bam. Charr.

Its all one account, yeah. Just have to get to Lion's Arch then! Thanks! Now to find a map...

Got the trial for the campaigns free, so playing around with that. I started a new Nightfall character...got my first hero. Now, uh...how do I get him with my original characters?

I really REALLY want a new computer. Its just too painful to play EQ2 on my rig anymore...I can see PvPers complaining about this, however. No way to judge their relative power without seeing what gear they have. But then, PvP was never EQ2s strongest suite anyway.

Very cool. Thanks for the input! I'll get Nightfall ASAP.

Only threat I can see is Blizzard making a sub-standard expansion. Unfortunately for them, the next one isn't  looking all that great...

That said, I'm personally going for WAR and Pirates of the Burning Sea.

I think I need to clarify my question. If I were to buy one of the expansions, does that give me access to heroes for the original quest line(s)?

Lonesamurai, I may have to take you up on that. Thanks.

I've had GW since launch, but continually put it down because after awhile, the single player game becomes, to me, too hard to solo. The henchmen are virtually worthless and I can never get a decent pick up group to get through the story. If I were to get any of the expansions, do they give you access to the better henchmen (heroes?) available there or am I still stuck with these weenies? Any tips to get through the story?

I knew people would hate this as a Hero Class (I'm not convinced myself) just as many people would defend it (since it was supposed to be in years ago). Unfortunately, this is NOT what the Hero Classes were originally intended to be. Originally, they were going to be an extension of the Talent system. You focus on one tree and become a different class by doing so. This is just an unlockable, high-level-start class, nothing like the Hero Classes as originally discussed. Decent idea, but NOT what I was waiting for.

You know, their was a game where you could twitch or point and click. RYL. Badly run and riddled with hacks, but does prove it can be done!

Why not take a cue from Oblivion and have an endurance bar? Have one for arms and one for legs. If you swing too much, you get tired and swing weakly. If you were out your legs, you can't run as fast or jump at all. Say you do a jump attack to start combat. That would wear both out and you'd be wide open for a moment. Hell, have parrying tied to it as well. Make it so if you suddenly start strafing left and right really fast the fatigue stacks to the point that you can't stand after a moment.

Sorry, this got posted to the wrong thread cause this forum software SUCKS.

If I hadn't known better, I would have thought that was Mordheim itself. They got the architecture down BEAUTIFULLY.
