Drop 600 dollars at the moment? cant be done. have real bills to pay, an a son an daughter to feed, and other far more important things. unfortunately i dont have a $20 an hour job lol. im sure i will ungrade eventualy. but not everyone has the money for such things all the time. only prob is by the time everyone has caught up they will probably have moved on to other games by that point. |

Well right off the bat i can say this game is way to "high end". i have a decent computer an with everything turned all the way down i can barely play it. "l33t" graphics idea is great in concept but if the avarage gamer cant play it then whats the point? AoC is going to end up with a very small player base. wish they had an option to really dumb down the graphics alot if you want. more so than is possible now. i wouldent care if a few other players got to play with badass looking graphics and mine looked like an older mmo as long as i can play along side everyone else. graphics is nice but if the actual play exp is terrible then whats the point? ah well.. my next prob is loading screens. i havent seen loading screens this much since EQ and this is 20 times worse. if i ever meet the dev team in real life i will punch them in the head for this lol. and 24 gigs of space after install is quite insane also but since this dont really affect the game its not a huge deal, just a annoyance. well thats it on my experiance, i gave up an uninstalled the game. its too bad tho, i bet it would be a pretty good game.. if it was playable. grats to the people with killer top notch computers. hope someone is getting something out of this game. :) |

Thats one thing I loved about UO and hated about EQ back in the day. in UO things had a spawn point but they roamed around. You only had to go to a general area to find something an just run around an kill. In EQ most things stood around in the same spot and OMG if you had to kill a named for anything then get in line because half the people playing needed to kill it too and the damn things sometimes only spawned once every so many DAYS at some points. wtf.. glad they phased that kinda stuff out in games for the most part. |

ahhh UO... those were the days! My 1st graphic based mmo (had been playing MUDs before that). UO was pretty damn awesome for a long time, played it for years. Altho I did play other games at the time to like EQ. UO did bring me far more enjoyment for a long time than any other mmo untill DAoC. The only thing that sucked about UO was trying to get or place a house lol. Had to hit ebay once for one (the ONLY time i would ever or will ever again buy anything in a game with real money, fuck you gold farmers/spamers). But otherwise damn it was good times back then!! |

I have talked about this in another fourm but I thought I would make a topic about instances themselfs. Does anyone else think that MMO's have taken instaces to far? I feel they have.. Take DAoC for example.. There was always people everywhere doing stuff in the world.. when they put in all the instances.. BAM.. the whole game world was a ghost town, no one ever went to any of the original dungeons or did anything in the rest of the world. Seemed like everyone just stoped playing untill you did a /who and saw 1000 people locked themselfs away in instances. Sorry but I feel instances defeat the point of a mmo. A few instances are fine.. but dont turn it into GuildWars.. dont get me wrong its a ok game but I hated the fact the whole world was basicly an instance. I play a MMO to play with 100 or 1000 other people.. not just a small group of people.. might as well play a non-mmo networked game like AoE, Unreal, Warcraft 3, ect ect. Well you get the point. |

I doubt they will make a DAoC 2, but it would rock if they did. Only suggestion I have for a sequal is LESS instances. A few are fine.. but the whole instance thing got carried away in mmo's. I know WAR will have instances but I hope its not many and that people actually go to other places and actually interact with eachother. |

DAoC. I feel its a better overall game. Just not "new" anymore so no one really plays it now. |

WAR wont flop. I'll bet my computer on it... and id sell my mom before my computer haha. Its getting pushed back becuse they want it to rock on release. They did a sweet job on DAoC, i think WAR will be even better with the exp they had with DAoC. |

Im glad they are making WAR just as sweet in the pvp aspect. Dont get me wrong, WoW is a good game.. but the PvP kinda sucks. And im not just a "mythic fanboy". All have good and bad aspects and I just feel WAR is going to be the best all around game.. for a while anyways. As always something new and better is bound to come out.. but untill then im hyped for WAR. |

WoW sucks when it comes to PvP. Dark Age of Camelot had a better PvP system. Games should adopt that one. Mythic (now EA Mythic) is doing Warhammer Online now and havent forgot the "badassness" of DAoC pvp/rvr. If you want good pvp with good pve id sugest trying Warhammer Online when it comes out. People give WoW a very high prase but I think most of them have never played other mmo's. Dont get me wrong, its a good game but most of its success is due only to the fact its a "warcraft" game. I have played mmo's since text based MUD's and went on to graphic based ones like UO, EQ, DAoC, WoW, GW, AO, ect ect.. you get the point.. have played most of the well known ones and many small timers. All are good games in thier own right but out of all of them, DAoC had the best pvp imo and if you didnt want to do pvp you didnt have to. You could run around your own realm an still have a kick ass time with pve with no worry about getting ganked, only doing pvp if you wanted by going to battlegounds, frontiers an all that good stuff. Best balance of pvp/pve of any of the mmo's I have played. Mythic games are where its at, so... COME ON WARHAMMER ONLINE! ;) |

eh.. I think Dark Age of Camelot has the best pvp of any mmo I have played. But I hope Warhammer Online will put daoc an all others to shame. (Mythic rocks) |
