I kinda hope it doesnt kill WoW.. if it does that means all the noobs, kids, and farmers will show up in WAR...

by kids i mean anyone who strips down female toons an /dances in towns or off hiding in a corner.. like we dont know what your doing.. and people that are "|337". I just hope WAR has a RP filter like DAoC so when people say lame words like "pwned" it will show up as "owned" on my screen.

will all the races be playable? like the minitor? im cool with classic classes but it would be nice to play all the races tho.

I will probably play mid but i have always played mid. in my exp mids have never been the high population winners. usualy the highest population was alb and then hib, last being mid. on the servers i played on anyways. i love being on the side of the underdog and mid suits my personality lol.

Bolth sides are equal. BOLTH sides lost 1 tank an 1 dps. Each side has a capitol city.

Who cares if they WENT BACK to thier original name. I was never fond of the EA addon to the name anyways.

If gamestop or another store mess crap up.. thats thier bad, not mythics.

Hmm I thought it was 2 tanks 2 dps. But either way my point is vaid. Its amazing to get even 20 classes working. Everyone should be happy with that. As I said the others will be in game later on. Also I look at it from many points of views. One of them is being a long time mmo'er. In most games tanks/healers are the less played classes. Most gravitate tward Casters/dps/hybreds. This game being mostly about PvP/RvR I cant see it being any different since most people will want to do as much damage as they can as fast as they can to take down the rival side. Not that tanks dont have uses in PvP mind you. Being hard to take down an such things has its uses. But I think even if they did have all the tank classes in you probably wouldent see as many of them as the other classes. I guess in the end tho this whole arguement is stupid since they arnt taking them out of game for good, they will be in game eventualy. as the guy after you said.. if you dont like it and MUST play one of the cut classes just dont buy the game untill they are in.

Edit: To the guy who asked if I was a AoC fanboi, no. Not really a fanboi of any game. Only played AoC for like an hour an gave up. mostly due to having older hardware. Had planned on giving it another go once I upgraded an see how the game is but after seeing all the poor choices FC has made I dont think I want to give it another shot at the moment. I just think that Mythic is making a good choice in this matter.

boo effin hoo! STFU! Most games dont have anywhere near that many classes to choose from. They didnt say they are going to be cut out of the game for all time. They will put them in when they are up to par with the rest of the classes. Keep in mind how difficult it is to balance even 6 classes. They had 24 to balance and make decent. That they got 20 working is a huge feat. I mean my god did any of you play EQ? How many years did people bitch about class balance? They didnt have anywhere near 20 classes and they couldent get it right. Hell I dont know if they ever got it right or not, stoped playing that game ages ago.

As for the cities being cut for now.. again.. SO WHAT? I mean really.. the cities are, from what I understand.. huge and supposed to have a real purpose other than a trainer/vendor like most games. If they arnt done then why put them in game? Do you all really want 2 good cities an 4 ghost towns? I can see it now.. they put in the unfinnished cities so the whinners shut up.. then the whinners are happy an go to the said cities.. look around and say.. "Hey.. this place isnt done.. this place sucks! Im out of here!" and then said people go to the fourms an bitch that they put in unfinnished features. If that happens.. just remember.. you asked for it. But fortunately for any of us with a thinking brain that isnt going to happen.

Sorry to any of you who are all butt-hurt about the cuts but I for one would rather have finnished features in game rather than a bunch of half done, unpolished crap. They really only had three options.. put in unfinnished crap or push release back to another date. But you can only delay a game for so long or it will hurt the game in the long run. So im glad they went with option 3 and cut them out (for now) untill everything is done. I really dont want to wait untill 2010 or some other absurd amount of time for release nor do I want another AoC. Sorry but no half games for me.

I think mythic chose the right path on this. I have to give them props for everything they have managed to do thus far and plan to do. People bitch an bitch but fail to realize how hard it is to make an mmo. I know I couldent do it...

i never really got into rpgs a whole lot till i started playing MUD's. but played an assload of diff console games starting with an atari lol pitfall ftw!! lol

i must be reading the wrong threds.. or reading the right ones.. however you want to see it.. lol cuz i dont see people calling others names very often at all. generaly when i see people talk in a "hater thred" its usualy people talking about thier experiances in the game. what was wrong with it an stuff. talking about lagit probs with a game isnt being a hater imo, just speaking truth an there is no reason someone cant voice his or her opinion about a game.. good or bad. if people dont speak up.. nothing will change for the better.. thats how i see it.

if you dont want to read that stuff then just dont. you can usualy tell what its going to be about. if you see a thred called "cancelled AoC sub" then you can probably be sure that person is going to say he/she stoped playing and why. dont like it dont read it. simple as that.

as long as it has a short time limit on how long you can be stealthed an not being able to 1 hit someone then it should be alright an do well. imo anyways. i do like stealth classes but most of the time they are over powered. hopefully this will be a real balance.

I wont mind as long as it isnt one shot kill. i never liked that a stealther could kill someone in one shot (played a critblade in DAoC an would often one shot casters my level lol (did the same to casters with my hunter) fun but not very fair) .. i hope it wont take anymore than half the HP in a "backstab" in WAR, an yeah i plan to play a witch hunter.. but not for the stealth anyways. i didnt even realize they would have stealth lol.

I only played the free trial an its a cool game, hell i love it just for the character customization! i love that. i wish more mmo's would do that. i havent played a game where i could customize how my toon looked on a decent scale since UO. iv missed it since then an CoH/V blows it away. I just dont want to pay a sub fee for it cuz im playin other games and waiting on WAR.. but i still think mmo's should do large scale customizing like that. i hate seeing people who are the same class looking just like me. armor dye only goes so far.. ya know? lol (but thank god they have that atleast in WAR, i HATED that you couldent dye stuff in games like wow)

way i understand it, they are going to balace the two sides so one cant get a huge amount of higher population than the other. but anyways as long as the classes are well balanced it probably wont matter an get pretty even.

dont do a direct download from the site, download it via torrent.

all games have zones, even UO had zones. but it was like WoW.. no loading screens, just zone lines that would load up when you crossed them. ofcorse in a game like UO there wasnt as much info to load as in newer games so usualy there was only a slight pause as if you hit a quick lag spike. in newer games like wow the next zone loads as you get close so it seems seemless. why any game still uses loading screens anymore is beyond me.. all i can figure is the devs smoke way to much crack.

well WAR wont have /stick but thank god for collision detection. no having someone run thru you as if they are a ghost to get away to attack from behind. but tell ya what most of my friends feel the same as i do an i will make it a point to have me an my group gank anyone thats jumping around all the time like a tard. hell the way i see it they are just jumping around saying hey pick me! im here! kill me!! lolol.

imo... running in circles and jumping like a tard isnt skill, its noob. thats one reason i loved the /stick command in daoc (altho alot of people hate it). cuz it forced people to fight toe to toe. if you had to get away from someone then you had to stun / mez / slow / sprint away. whatever was avalible for your class, sprint, or just dont let them get that close if your a ranged class. ya know... actually use your brain an the skills your character has. example, pvp in WoW is a joke at best. i always found it retarded that toons can run thru you, jump over your head, jump repeatedly in armor you would be lucky to get 2 inches off the ground if you had it on.. with no loss of stamina. while casters have to stand in one spot while casting can be interupted. jumping around should = huge stamina loss that would = not being able to use skills.

its still stupid an makes no sence at all. there is fantasy an then there is insanely stupid.. and chicks in chainmail bikinis an the like taking hits just as well as a guy in a full protective suit is stupid. games arnt supposed to be "monkey beaters". thats what porn / having a gf is for.
