Not to mention the slew of errors popping up. I'm surprised i don't see this on here, but there are tons of people getting error 1003 or error 1005 after an hour or more in queue, My fiance has been trying to play since thursday and has only played for a few hours. When she logs off, she can't get into a server either cause of 1hour+ queues or simply error 1003. And error 1003 has not been explained by EA or Bioware, they have been silent about everything, and they are not helping out the community at all.

I keep all my games. If i loose interest i just stare at the damn thing until i force myself to play it, then i wonder why i stopped. I mostly sell games that i know i will not play again or just don't enjoy anymore, but i keep ahold of my games and systems.

I always have this problem. For the life of me i can't talk to anyone face-to-face and when i get on an MMO, it's not as bad but i still can't talk to anyone. I started in Everquest and it wasn't so bad, i actually talked to people and grouped like crazy. Then all of a sudden, i just didn't talk to anyone. I jump around MMOs for years and i just can't get passed talking to anyone. I get in a guild, i try to speak to people and i just hide and go Solo everything until i'm practically forced to group.

I'm playing Age of Conan now and all i do is solo and help out those here and there, but i just can't bring myself to talk to anyone.

I played this when it first came out, even kicked around the beta character builder when my friend worked at gamestop. I love this game, its the best Super Hero game out there next to DCU (yes, i enjoyed DCU, i'm a sucker for super hero games) This F2P is really a blessing for me, and since i've already played i get to go premium, but i might go ViP and collect some of those points. The SidebySide stuff is nothing, ViPs get more and premiums get just a little more than Free subs. I really hope this brings in tons of people.

Funny how about 2 am today i got three new members in my guild and ran into at least 30 people in one area doing rift raids. And it seems the Troll ran into a Troll-slayer, so it seems this crisis is averted

I logged on the first time on Beta 4 and said to myself "This feels like warhammer" and i just smiled and embraced it. I LOVE Warhammer, and 40k (look at my avatar) Its what WAR should of been. The starter zone with the explosions and the screaming and the town on fire just gave it that sense of urgency to fight back the Defiant Heretics and the Plane of Death.

Also OP must be ignorant about the whole BETA thing. Trion on FB has been saying they have been stressing out the servers, and the only time i've lagged was when i logged onto Wolfsbane when its been full during a large scale raid group invasion. And i'm on High Graphics, and if the server isn't full, i move very smoothly.

I bought it, and have to say i loved it. Not to mention i'm a big Ultramarines dork anyways, i believe Dan Abnett did a good job with the story as always.

What seems to be the salt on the wound is they said "In all fairness others who got a key from last give-away will not get another" whats stopping them from making another account?

This was handled poorly, i understand they want people to get a beta key, but throwing them up in the air and yelling "GO GET 'EM" is not a way for a contest. In the past they held stuff like this, but you had to come in each day, click on a button and wait, thats a giveaway contest. This "who gets it gets it" may seem right, but its unfair to lots of people who can't compete with people who can make a bazillion accounts, all on different computers just so they can have 6 characters from one person.

You know, they are going to have two factions, which is fine because when you look and read WH40k, there are literally 2 FACTIONS Order and Chaos. Now there are tons of races, which fall into each faction. But they havn't said what they did yet, they just said "We have the two factions" and everyone is now gnashing their teeth.

In Warhammer Fantasy, you have Order and Chaos as well, but the real animosity is that dwarfs hate elves, but will tolerate them, and chaos hates and plots against their own, but it was still handled badly.

In Warhammer 40k, we don't know if the space marines can turn around and shoot the eldar, or the Khorne Berzerker World Eater tearing into an Word Bearer Daemon Marine, we can't sit there and assume that everyone just sits there and plays well with each other. All we can do is hope that "Yea, i'm in the Order Faction, and i'm part of the Imperium of Men, but those Eldar showed up, lets go kill them." and not "Man, those Eldar look funny, but i can't kill them because we just can't"

The only way WoW will die is when everyone makes a mass exodus of the servers for something else. If Rift does it, good for them, ToR does it, good for them. The only thing killing these newer games is word of mouth, people see a screen shot, see a discription of the game and BAM! instant WoW clone. They hate it, they tell people in the WoW guild who where interested in it and they hate it and so on and so forth until the game is considered nothing more than a grind fest.

I remember when everyone left EQ, i was the last of my friend's to leave the game for anything else, but everyone left for WoW because they all loved the Warcraft RTS games, but other than that, they only left because they where bored with EQ. So when people get bored of WoW, thats when a game will become a WoW killer.

Hellgate is coming back, the company that picked it up is going to be releasing it stateside sometime 2011 i believe. Hanibitsoft owns the worldwide publishing rights, its just a matter of time before it comes back, i'll be waiting for it.

I expected nothing but a dungeon crawler from this game. I was dissapointed earlier seeing that we had pre-made characters and you just customize them, slap a name on them an go off. The graphics are a nice touch for a f2p as well. But wow was i taken back when i played it. The OP is right, its simple to the point where you can jump in, do a few hours of game time, and leave feeling like you did something.

I start playing this when i got home from work on wednesday at 10, didn't go to bed till 2 because i didn't know what time it was while i kicked gnolls into walls, sliced tentacles in half and smashed spiders. I had way to much fun. I'm going to be playing this game off an on when i need a quick game to play.

I've said this to everyone i talk to when this game comes up. I will play this at closed beta, i will play this at open beta, and i will play it at launch, and i will have a Space Marine that will purge Xenos, Heretics and Daemons with righteous fury during that whole time.

I was excited about EQ2 when they announced it, and i played it when it was released. I had fun with it, but it just seemed people didn't want to help you out as much as they lvled. EQ1 had lots of max lvl chars, but they sat around and would help you out with an alt, or just sit in the back and make sure you where healed.

I help people out alot and it was due to a max lvl from EQ who gave me a full set of armor and some weapons to help me when i first started EQ1. I'm actually resubbing to EQ1 after playing all the new games, my fiance asked me why and i could only reply "I'm going back to my roots, i'm going to play a game that i loved, and i think i still do too" It seems i have the same problem as some of the WoW fanboys, though i didn't compare everything to EQ1, but i always got bored of a game, but now i'm doing the trial, i feel like i'm back at home.

I too have often thought about returning to EQ. It was my first love. I keep telling people stories in other guilds about my EQ days, about the race PVP server and the huge guild i was in. It was also my first case of guild drama that split the guild in half, and being that it was PVP, if you left the guild you where KOS, but when i left, i left the server and played on a blue server until i quit altogether. I stopped playing in 2004.

Now i'm going back, i played fallen earth and i'm leaving with a bad taste in my mouth (due to guild drama that i did not partake in but was wrongfully accused) and DDO keeps becoming a burnout after i have so much fun with it. I decided i would suck it up and just go back. I started the trial and its full of people, every day/night. EQ2 when me and my fiance played where ran by mega-guilds and we left because no-one wanted to help, but i'm just going to hoof it alone if i have to, i'm having a blast, not to mention Sony is giving a bundle for all the expansions up-to-date for 40bucks i'll be purchasing soon.

I'd say go for it, your bound to find veteran's still playing, as well as new people seeing what its about
