MMORPG with a different combat system, Have they made this game yet?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/25/09 4:54:27 PM
DDO has some things like PSO/PSU where its free form and you run around and dodge in the way you want to go. Only thing is that the combat doesn't have combos built in it. |

DDO, go check it out http://www.ddo.com/ |

Massively did a report on this a few months ago when THQ had a list of games coming up, and in 2012 sometime WH40k online was going to show up sooner or later. |

Whats your specs? also, if you give them a measly 6 bucks, you can have a premium account |

They usually do this for Favor Points and not the full xp bonus. There are people(like me) who like to grab all the bonuses for full xp at the end of the dungeon, not to mention to find names that have good loot. |

Dungeon Fighter Online: Item Shop Now Open!
News Discussion « General Discussion 10/09/09 11:47:55 AM
The item shop makes the game way to broken. Not to mention the avatar pieces are completely random and makes a money sink out of trying to better your avatar, including that you have to be lvl 30 to even put on the stuff |

My g/f was running in Aion yesterday and saw a handful of bots that was in the same area all week, and from what i heard, the original game in Korea has a few servers just full of botters. |

This does sound neat and hopefully they can deliver on what they are promising. I'm not super hyped, but i'm going to read up on the news as it comes, and hopefully run through the beta if it shows up. |

After you get all the adventure packs, you don't have to pay for anything, unless you want to pay for the leveling sigils and pay for all the junk that you really don't need |

Its going to be an awesome game |

my suggestion, buy the 6 dollar points. Its not much, but you can probably either buy a pack or just save it to increase with favor. But buy the cheap points because you get upgraded to premium status, which gives you 4 character slots instead of 2 now and you get a slight more stuff than a free account. Or what you can do is just buy the 20 dollar 1500 points and let that increase, but on a sale weekend, you can come out with 4-5 adventure packs. Also, look for your sigils before buying. If you have the points to spare (like if you purchased them) then go ahead and grab the sigil, but if you don't want to waste money, just keep looking. And with group, just put up a LFM through the community tab. Within minutes i usually get a full group that will run a few quests, but looking for a guild helps as well. To this date, even though i'm in a guild, i have never had a lack of grouping. So just stick with it and it will eventually grow on ya. |

I just deleted the game myself. I noticed a huge grind when i was nearing 20, which means after that i knew i would be in for a ride. Now, i love this game, its different. But when you have to purchase completely random items for stat boosts, your better off not playing. Some quests have you go do PvP battles (i don't know about the 'epic quests' but i know normal quests have you do it) so if your going up against someone who can toss all this money away to get their avatar up to good stats and what not from the outfits, you should just quit and go grind. Nexon is just milking people for their money, which i know is a business thing, but if your making people pay for stuff that helps your character out stat wise, it makes it unfair for those who want to PvP but can spend the money trying to get random items to make your character better. I'm not a PvPer, but it seems unfair for those who do. The only redeeming factor of this whole game is that its free and a good game to just sit down and button mash for awhile, but when you get to the third tier dungeons, it becomes a huge grind. Some might not think its so bad as me or others, but its there. Not to mention the lack of quests, there are a ton but a lot get greyed out way to fast. Or some are "go find this item in this dungeon" and you'll have to run the dungeon perhaps three to four time before getting them all. One quest for the sky tower collection had me run through at least 8 times before i got all the items, and i barely got any xp because it greyed out on me. So yea, this is one of the games that the cash shop will make the game a tad bit unfair, i'll just go back to playing DDO full time then. |

i payed 20 bucks, got 5 mods and with the rest of the money i got leveling sigils for my two mains up to lvl 8. The thing that i'm seeing is that Turbine is throwing out deals every weekend, usually for adventure packs and leveling sigils. So if you don't find the sigils, you can find them dirt cheap during the sales. So just look out for the deals when if you want to pay money for points. |

The game is worth a try. Its a good knockback game if you want to play something real quick. Each character has a little "story line" when you create them, but after that its basically going out and beating up stuff. I havn't played to much do to DDO taking up all my time, but i still make time for it when i get the chance. Also, its free and there is no cash shop yet, so you have nothing to loose. |

"Dammit, i got ganked and they took my +3 boxers!!" |

There is downtime until 3pm Eastern (12pm PDT) so just tune in at that time and play. But if you don't like down times, perhaps your playing the wrong Genre of games? |

Me and my g/f started in the bazaar server, since it was low population and we havn't played in awhile. But we moved to Antonia Bayle since there are more people on it. Both servers are both good for newbie help, but the newbie areas are slightly dead. |
