7 Day lockout on account management ?

Yesterday I decided to re-sub one of my AO accounts, I have 2 accounts with expansions and 3 free accounts registered to my email address.
I couldnt remember all my logins so I requested account info and received an email listing all the account names.
So far so good.
next I logged into each account on the account management page to verify they were all still ok
No problems there either.
Having ascertained which account i wanted to resub to I tried to log back into account management and recieved an error saying the pw or account namewas incorrect. Tried a few more times, knew it was ok as I had logged into it 5 minutes prior to this.
Spoke to live suport who said I had incurred a 24 hour lockout because of too many access attempts and I would need to try again in 24 hours.
27 hours later and im back in chat support, my 24 hours is now 7 days !
And theres apparently nothing whatsoever that can be done about this.
How on earth can this be the case ?
I cant even log into the forums to ask in the support forum.
Below is the chat log from today.
Ive been playing since a few days before the gold release.
The premise of the game is solid, no quest markers over NPC's heads, emphasis on figuring it out for yourself.
Its been released way too early though, its hard to even navigate through the tutorial quests and I have encounterd more glitches in a few days play than I have with any other game.
The magic and skill system is hard to fathom and most skills dont seem to actually work, some skills seem to be missing
entirely even though I was supposed to receive them from a quest reward.
Interface is laggy and glitches up when you change res or use interface scaling, music volume slider doesnt work at all.
Server crashes on a regular basis.
In short its got potential and Im carrying on with it for now but its no where near up to scratch for release.
Unfortunately, based on his past record, Mr Smart is all mouth and no trousers when it comes to delivering decent, playable games.
And he certainly has plenty of the mouth. He knows exactly what SHOULD make a great game but no idea how to actually put it together.
This does sound like a great game and I hope im proved wrong.
Somehow though I doubt it.
Fingers crossed though eh ?
Looking to take part in this chain too.
Please PM me a key if possile.
Thanks - Lantril
Your BEST and WORST moment in a MMORPG!

Good thread, even persuaded a consumate lurker like myself to post,
All my best/worst moments were in the first 2 years of EQ.
No game has ever come close to evoking proper emotional responses since.
Im still looking for another game that recreates that but I think ill be looking till the day i die.
Naked corpse runs, genuine fear of dying, the elation of dropping the golden ring for the paw of oppola quest after an 11 hour camp. Genuine fear as my group plastered itself to the walls in Unrest amongs a host of red and yellows.
If I have to choose the best nad worst then Ill plump for these 2.
BEST - Being presented with a rare +5 wis necklace by my guidmates, they knew I wanted it for my druid and camped it for me . I literally had tears in my eyes.
WORST - Pinching a 24 hour timed spawn from a guy who I knew had been camping it for several hours. I still have a clear memory of what that poor guy said to me and how bad I felt after. I wanted to give the quest loot item to him but I couldnt cos it was No Drop. 10 years on and I still feel guilty about this.
EQ wasnt perfect I know and a lot of its charm was because it was one fo the first but God how I loved that game.
Hi all. im a fairly old member here but rarely post just lurk around :) This thread interested me though.
I dont know if the OP (or anyone else following this thread) knows of an old MMO called Earth and beyond, it was released in 2002 and died a death in 2005 if I recall correctly, pulled to allow the server to be used for SIMS online and this is one reason why many peope (myself included) still boycott EA products.
Despite many many posts by old fans begging for a re-release EA steadfastly refuse to budge and sit on the code allowing it to rot. They even refuse to sell it.
For the last week ive been playing the stress test of the earth and beyond emulator. Using the old client the dev team , which is all donation funded, have recreated the EnB universe by reverse engineering.
Its in incredible feat and although not 100% complete its already more than playable, they have even added the 3 missing clases (Progen privateer, Jenquai trader and Terran explorer that never made live)
The intention of the dev team is to roll over this latest test into live so hopefully the character wipes are over.
For those that dont know the game I would describe it as Everquest in space. Traditional Tank/Healer/Buff/Support roles are all there and anyone can DPS, solo and group play are easily accessable. The fact that its ship based combat should fulfill the SF requiremtn too :)
All the details for downloading the demo client and patching to the current game are on the website at
Nothing to pay so nothing to lose by trying it and the community is fantastic, everyone is more helpful than any game ive played recently.
Give it a try.
If anyone here wants to say hi to me in game im playing a Progen privateer, name of Zaplin.
