I think Blizzard has the largest chance of evolving MMO genre. Because of WoW they'll have practically endless resources to put into their next MMO, many times more than what even Bioware has. They also now have the experience of how to build and run an MMO, and millions of eager fans around the word who are quaranteened to buy their game and recommend it to their friends.

The only MMO where I feel I'm better in control of my character better than WoW, and not limited by my ability to issue orders to my character but only by my ability to decide wich actions I should take, is Dofus. And the combat in Dofus is completely turn based.

I'm hoping Aion could challenge WoW. I confess I haven't heard much of it, but what I've heard sounds very promising. I'm also looking forward to Bioware's next MMO project, whatever it is Bioware's single player RPGs are the best there is so I'm hoping they could also create a good multiplayer RPG.

But it's only a hope,I think there's a big chance that the first game to beat WoW will be Blizzards unnamed MMO project.

I disagree, I believe that Atheism is a religion because it is based on the faith of verifying and checking, however, it is also based on the extrapolations of these checks and verifications as illustrated by the definition of a theory, an extrapolation or generalization to explain confirmed results.

My religion is very much diffirent from yours. My religion doesn't include any kind of worshipping, my religions doesn't tell me how to live nor what happens after death, and I can't ever justify any of my actions based on my religion. Everything my religion consists of can be fully explaing with one sentence: There is no god. And if all people in the world had the same religion as I have, none would ever need to do anything extra because of the religion.

That's why my wish is that my religion wouldn't be counted as a religion at all, it's not a religion but a lack of one. I think most of atheists in the world fell same way, and wish that atheism wouldn't be counted as a religion. It feels insulting that we are counted as having a religion when we ourselves deny that we have one.

However, since some people refuse to respect our wishes, I propose that we invent a new term for those who have any other religion than atheism. And until someone finds a better term, I'm going to call all those people as 'those who believe in some story'. That definition clearly includes Christianity and Islam, since both of those religions are based on stories told on their holy books, and the followers of those religions believe that those stories are true. But the definition excludes atheism, since most atheists believe that god doesn't exists because there isn't any evidence that he would, not that god doesn't exists because someone has told them so.

I apologize to everyone 'who believes in some story', but would be wise enough to respect my believes and make the distinction between atheism and other religions by not counting atheism as an religion. I don't want to insult you, I only want to insult a Wow4Lifer and others who refuse to admit the diffirence. And also my apologies to all buddhists, I'm not very familiar with your religion and I may be making a mistake when including you to 'those who believe in some story'.

They really couldn't not to give things like new talents and skills, or the expansion to existing cities, free to all players. Otherwise they would create a game where those who don't have WotLK would be playing with diffirent classes and would see diffirent cities than those who have WotLK. Same goes for inscription, they can't give possibility to boost all the existing spells and abilities only for those who have purchased the expansion or those who haven't the expansion would be have weaker characters.

The only thing I'm a bit suprised they are giving away for free is barber shops, I think they could keep that as expansion only content without any problems.

Try to remember, that we all subconsiously want to think that those with diffirent religion or ideology than ours are somehow worse than us. We're all afraid of the diffirent and even more afraid of the unknown, wether we want to admit it to ourselves or not.

Please, try not to make generalizations like "One thing i noticed was that the atheists were extremely violent in there responses". The most you can achieve with statements like that is a start of another pointless flamewar and more hate between people with diffirent religions or ideologies.

I don't think that city spam is so bad, the ablity to report spam and ignore someone just by right clicking their name on chat window and choosing the option was a great update. I don't know if you have played after it was added or not.

But arena balance will likely only get worse as WotLK is released since they are doing so large changes to classes and game mechanics. While it's likely that ultimately those changes will lead to more balanced game and arenas, large amounts of changes do usually lead to inbalances at first.

I remember hearing somewhere, that if you are using Vista and have installed the game to default directory (c:\program files\), the game may be unable to edit it's own files because of some Vista limitations. Fix to this is to move the game folder away from c:\program files and test then. There's no need to reinstall to try it, you can freely move the game directory anywhere and the game will still work.

But that  problem shouldn't cause any slowdowns.

You are now confusing a religion and a belief. I believe that there is no god, just as I believe that public transportation should be free in my hometown. I may sometimes try to convert people into atheism, just as I may sometimes try to convert people believing that public trasportation should be free.

A religion would have to include some sort of worshipping, instructions from god on how to live, or something such. Atheism is not a religion, at least for me, any more than 'belief into free public transportation' is a religion.

dmbardal: All are not happy. It's just that as nothing happens, I'm not going to post exactly same whine on exactly same thread for too many times.

American/Oceanian players: You haven't had much problems and your Open Beta has been successfull so far. Majority of the ones whining are Europeans, we don't get servers run by Mythic, we get servers run by GOA and service run by GOA. And while their gameservers may have performed well, their account creation has been total fiasco. It's not that the game wouldn't be great and run great, I want to believe it is, that's why I'm still whining in here. To get GOA to also give some kind of service, like ETAs when they are experiencing technical problems.

The account creation system is down. Just wait, wait, wait. You will get your access to Open Beta, they have promised so again, and again, and again. But so far no ETA of when you could get your access.

Or, someone could offer you a direct link to their account creation, I heard that they've actually only taken down all the links to it but the creation pages are still online.

There is one easy way to stop the whining: GOA has to give us what we paid for. I paid for Open Beta access, and as yet, I've not recieved it. Also, I haven't recieved any ETA of when things are going to be fixed and I'm going to get my Open Beta access.

So why should I not whine? I'm going to whine as much as I can until GOA gets their act together and fixes their problems. Or at least gives an ETA of when the problems are fixed, or even an explanation that they don't know and they can't give ETA. But so far I've only recieved information that their account management service is down. That's really not good enough when I've been trying to register now 4 days in row and I've already paid for my access.

The only one screwing us at the moment is GOA.

For the beta-key you have entered to be valid, you'd need to have validated your account. And for that, you'd need to have validation e-mail. I've been waiting my e-mail since Sunday. And I'm not the only one, despite the fact that GOA lied in one of their news announcements that they were able to send validation e-mails for all accounts created on Sunday.

I paid my preorder from direct2drive.uk, and it specifically states that the product gives access to UK Open Beta. It's as clearly a part of my purchase as is the free 30 days of game time wich is also included.

And as long  Warhammer Online EU Open Beta servers deny my attempts to connect to them because I don't have valid username and password, I clearly don't have access to Open Beta. I'm just hoping that GOA will get their act together and give me the access soon.

I don't think there's anything wrong in reminding people that I may look like 1.

But what kind of idiot decided to write that

"The last remaining 10,000 players who were waiting for access can now join the action on the servers".

They are now completely ingnoring players who have been waiting since Sunday to be able to register (or in my case, complete the registration). They aren't now admitting that they still have god knows how many players who can't even hope to access the servers and haven't been given any kind of ETA of when and if they may hope to access those servers at all during Open Beta.

The only thing more frustrating that having problems is that we're now not only having problems but also we're again getting ignored by them.

Their code registration is "working", if you count "there's a chance it'll work, but most likely not, just keep trying and ultimately it may work" as "working".

But only for those who already have an existing account on their website.

EDIT: From what I've heard, the confirmation that your code registration succeeded will arrive to your e-mail. And the way to get it succeed is to spam those code registration attempts until you get the confirmation e-mail. Or you can just send one attempt, and start waiting or hoping. It either may work or may not work /EDIT

Adam: At the moment you do not register to EU site. The account registration service has been temporarily down for maintenance since Sunday evening, with no ETA given when it's fixed.

The last ETA GOA gave to us was that they'd give us an update of the situation this morning. They failed even that ETA, and were't capable or skilled enough to tell us anything about what's happening in there.

GOA - A company who just failed to keep their promise to provide us information of their most recent failure.

Only 18.5 hours, don't except your e-mail for a couple of days then. I've been waiting for my registration confirmation e-mail about 43 hours now.

I don't even except to be able to register to their site before Open Beta ends any more. If they'd be wise they'd announce next how they are going to compensate for those who paid for their beta keys. Either that, or they'd announce a delay in launch and extension of Open Beta.

Now the key validation system is online, so says the news from GOA.

Too bad that their authentication and registration systems are still offline. I wonder how I'm supposed to enter the beta code when I can't create an account or log into existing one.

EDIT: After finally being able to read the whole news on GOA main page (it took me about 5 refreshs before it showed up), it turns out I can't use it since I haven't recieved my confirmation e-mail and that is still disabled. Fun, why the hell couldn't they tell this in advance when they advertised that they'll have new system online by 16.00 CET
