 You forgot to mention the self important reviews, push backs, client side hackings, Tasos being a pathelogical liar, promising features they did not deliver, forcing a paid-closed-beta on pre-orders, deleting of all negative opinions, 5th gen engine/graphics/sound, so on... so forth.

its a  game being produced by a small company.  Their communication to the community sucks yes, but all indications point to the fact they are making a game that will at some point be available to play.

I for one will patiently wait until I'm a> able to purchase the game b> play the game.

 

You should rely on darkfallonline.com for your information.  You know, the site that took them a week to remove the beta signup button and deletes all negative threads on their forums and is ran by a pathelogical liar by the name of Tasos, but hey, by their news it looks like they just invited their first wave of beta invites... AWESOME!

 Nope, its gone back into pre-paid-closed-beta.

They couldn't hoodwink people into paying for closed beta for years so now they release it and call it released and charge you instead.  Pure win... for all you suckers out there .. pure lose...

 Aventurine has always blocked/banned bad press on their forums, tis not a shocker they have their own shut down at the moment.

 Do I want it to fail?  No, Tasos can go screw himself but I wish riches upon those poor developers/artists that worked tirelessly for a joke of a company for so long, they deserve it.  I want them to be honest with their player base for once though.

Tasos and the upper management are the Rapid Reality of Greece... sadly I feel this will reflect, and bury the people that actually made the game, the nameless faces of those whom will never get credit in the shadow of some of the biggest liars in the industry.

Did anyone play wow from day one? That was rocky as all hell, predominately about 2 months after launch from my memory, you got several severe roll backs a day, servers where always dropping and the servers went down for more than 8 - 10 hours numerous times...

At least this is just a few banking and account problems due to their unorganization and rushing the preoders in at the last minute, and of course struggling servers due to the large amounts trying to join at once. They addressed the player synch problem on the forum, claiming to know what is causing it and can be easily fixed.

So stop hating this game, theres no point scaring everyone away saying this is different from any other launch when it isnt.  In the end the most of you haters have experience with many previous launches and have been fucked around by them leaving you with a bad opinion about any MMO that isnt perfect upon release.

You know that the only thing that will truely kill the game is people not sticking it out during a couple of early launch problems and leaving.  Hang around things will only get better.

Being that it hasnt launched yet... and its in paid-closed-beta no I suppose it wouldnt be the worst ever.

You are playing the final released version of the game. It was officially released in EU as of the 26th. Not that on this website it does not say closed beta or even open beta.

 

There was no open beta get on the right page.

 

As for the exploiting issue. I highly doubt it. Many players were in the close beta and knew where to go and what to farm.

This leads so wondering why didnt they even do a open beta and prospone its release. No mater what even if they clean the servers and make everyone restart , the beta players will know where to go and what to farm and get the advantage early over those who never played and got access to the game.

Why would the game still be in beta yet people are given 3 free days. Use common sence if it was beta why would they have to give 3 free days for their misshap on launch day.

Forums have been down due to large volume, almost double our highest traffic to date, people weren’t able to access them. We brought them down in order to be able to post communications so you would know what was going on.

MMORPG.com was kind enough to post our first announcement but we need to be able to communicate through the official Darkfall community.

Darkfall IRC was causing the Stratics network problems with its volume and it was also temporarily shut down at Stratics request. The forum will be back as soon as possible, and we hope we can keep it up. As you see the dev team did mention clearly that mmorpg.com helped them rely their info. Their main website is down as you can clearly read thus they cannot announce anything till they get that rectified.  They used this 3rd party website to announce thier game and problems they were going thru its launch.

Im trying to be nice here. Do not fool yourself. The game was officially released on the 26th of feb for Europe. It will be released again for the USA . Common sence assures you that yes the game will be in a better state once it hits the USA.

 

 

So, its paid to play beta, but only for those that pre-ordered, like alot of other AAA mmorpgs have done?  Gotcha, all clear now.  Thanks for clearing that up.  

( P.S. I never saw the term game release in the information you copy and pasted from... wherever site you got it from, being that darkfallonline.com still says the game is in beta.  Also, all beta games have to have a client download you realize, lest no-one could test. )
