The idea is nice, but the idea of unionizing any particular set of interests requires that those that run said union are impartial to making decisions based off the feed back of mature and well thought out ideas, that being said; "impartial", "mature", and "well thought out" are traites very few community active gamers posess.

On topic though, I would like to see this game released, I just hope it is done in a better fashion than the current FFOnline, which took me almost a week to learn the controls... and I had to do registry hacks to get it into a resolution beyond "Hi the last time we updated was during the age of the 486"... and promptly gave up, saddend that one of my favorite IPs was ruined.

In my opinion, the game is a fairly well thought out scam.  I personally suggest you avoid it, but the choice is ultimatly up to you.  Try out the free aspects, if you feel inclined to sink money into it, that is your choice, just keep in mind that almost everthing you do in the game costs money, and at the end of the month you will notice it costs alot more ( monthly ) to be productive than most mainstream MMOs.

Im amazed people still play gaming by numbers... I mean... WoW.  Aion wont kill WoW, sadly, being that Aion is another grind fest, just a very, very, pretty grind fest.

More than likely, Blizzards new MMO will kill WoW, and hopefully it wont be a huge waste of time... like WoW, or Aion.

( P.S. Posting a screen shot in an orient language is pretty much pointless you realize. )

The server just crashed without warning, and I was on a mount/boat. Is it gone?

Usually they will rollback the server. If you had recently got it out of your bank, check if it is back in your bank. The mount will spawn at your bindstone in the case of a server crash or client crash unless there is arollback.

I log in and lo and behold my mount is gone... server rolled back to a time i was still on my mount a good 30 min b4 the server crashed GFG Pretty lame but whatever thats av for you

So, as you can see, I call shenanigans on Javac.  It's well known that there are crashes, unexpected/unexplained outages (like the one today) and rollbacks on a pretty frequent basis.

There have been several bogus corruption accusations against the Darkfall GMs on these forums ranging from them causing clients to crash, causing server crashes while taking sides during sieges, to refunding items and money.

First of all GMs cannot crash the server ( No but a administrator ( Tasos ) and force a reboot ), or cause a client to crash ( Really? Players can with your engine... a few fragmented packets, proper client id's, bada bing, bada bam. ). They cannot create items or money. ( If this is true, you really do have a limited engine made by 1st year code monkeys. ) All their actions and communications are monitored and logged. ( As with any gaming studio, this is a rare occasion ) We re-checked all chat logs and GM activity for every report mentioned in the forums or reported to us at the help desk, over the time periods that the questionable conduct was supposed to have taken place and found absolutely nothing. ( Yes, and your logs cant be falsified eh?  Darned that review, and the impossibility of using simple transact SQL commands. ) Because of this, any public accusations on the forums accusing GMs or the company of any such activities will be removed ( Not to forget anything that puts the game, or you, Tasos, in a bad light will be removed as well. ), and everyone contributing in the thread will be banned from the forums. ( Thou shalt defy the great overweight and greasy Tasos! Heil Tasos! )
