Unfortunately, it doesn't "dive" into anything, since they neglected to include submarines.

Despite comprising less than 1% of the navy, they were responsible for more than HALF of all enemy shipping sunk. How do you leave that out of your naval war game? I mean they have SPG's in their tank game, why no subs in their ship game?

It's ridiculous.

The game offered more pvp then just about any mmo.  They had aprox 10 warzones and one of them was a 30vs30 match.  You could play them all day and have fun.  They also had daily pvp quests.   Then there was the 180 person conquest which involved a lot more skill and coordination then people thought it did.  Don't call Rift a pve game.  It had too many good pvp things that not many other games offered.  They had a really happy pvp community.  So basically you would get pvp levels and buy pvp gear and never had to step foot outside of a pvp environment.  They changed it so the pvp gear is worthless and those pvp levels are equally worthless.  Now to get the best pvp gear one has to participate in pve where before that was not the case at all.

GOOD. I always HATED games that had special PvP gear for the kiddies that just queue all day long. Play the whole fucking game, or go play something else.

Come on guys, really? I have nothing against this game, and will definitely give it a try, but it's an absolute 100% rip-off of WoT! If I had watched that video under the impression that it was a World of Tanks "Modern Warfare" expansion, I wouldn't have doubted it for a second! It is, in EVERY sense of the word, IDENTICAL.
While I'm not totally against an improved version of WoT set in a modern environment, I can't get over what a BLATANT rip-off this is. Even the UI is exactly identical. Aren't there copyright laws in play here?

Can we stop using the word "hacked"? No one's computer system was bypassed and plundered by brute force. Someone was stupid, and got themselves compromised. There's a BIG difference.

"Leveling-up a character is the main goal of an MMORPG"

No, that is the product of crappy game design.  Leveling should serve as a tutorial for the real game content.  It should not be a "feature".

Your way of thinking is EXACTLY why every new MMO is a steaming pile of shit. Thanks kiddo.

All of the negative things said about this game are more or less true.

But you know what? It's fun ANYWAY, and I enjoy it MORE every time I play (which is the exact opposite of the last 10 games I have played).

There is a brilliant foundation here, and I can't wait to see where they go with this game.

...and Star Citizen has nothing on Elite's flight model. Not even close.

I can't wait until 5 years from now, when they finally patch in the last of the promised launch features.
I can't believe dubstep is still a thing....

So it's just the males that cannot grow beards in your family?

I don't understand how you can knock an idea like this. Regardless of how you feel about it (I don't play WoW anymore, and haven't for a LONG time), it's STILL a huge part of gaming history, and there's likely a great story to be told about it. I have fond memories of WoW.

It's like a tattoo that you might not like anymore, but you remember where you were in your life at the time you got it. I'll never forget my time playing, because of the place I was at in my life. It will be interesting to watch this.

This is the worst possible move for ZOS.

One of the major issues the game is having is the lack of end game content and entertainment. Pre-Patch; If you are not running with a great crew of PVP players, you would spend most of your time running around, just to die in moments. Most of your "PVP" gameplay was spent running from one point to the other unless you had or one of your buddies had a camp set up. Now the great idea is to remove the camp and guarantee the idea of running around like a dork....on what planet is this a good idea? This is a bad, bad move in order to retain casual players and it concedes to the elitist-jerk PVPers. IMO. Nice ZOS.

I understand how the opposing side of this arguement is saying it was dumb to move an entire army from one scout. But how is it entertaining to spend more time running around like a turd on a stick instead of PVP'ing. I'd rather get owned 15-20 times in 10 minutes versus running around and only getting 30sec-1min of PVP time. There has to be a better way to manage open world PVP and allow players instant action. Oh, I know FREAKING CAMPS!

The idea is to make the logistics of moving your force around the map require more thought. If you want rapid-fire PvP, on a short timer, then play a game with battlegrounds. That isn't what  the PvP area in ESO was supposed to be.

WTF is that shit?!

Have they made any client optimizations since launch? The game ran like ASS on my machine, which handily runs ANY other MMO out there at absolute maximum settings.

I'm not playing a game that looks 10 years old, and runs like it's from the future.

Not a single word on performance. I guess it's just SUPPOSED to run like shit. WildStar is officially off of my list of games I will ever consider returning to.
Played this a few times. It's a solid game. Maybe I'll check it out again.

You know one thing I just don't get is when other players accept bad launches as normal and state the the rest of the base to get use to it.

Sorry, unacceptable. We all understand it is just a video game, but when you drop money into a game, you expect it to work properly. I like the one analogy where one poster stated when you buy a car, you expect it to work, but you find out you have no headlights or your ac doesn't work. You will complain.

Everyday life we go through shit like this. If your favorite restaurant is open, but doesn't have a waiter, you will complain. If your food wasn't prepared right, you bill let them know and want to speak to the manager. You go to your favorite store and find out the product they told you over the phone was in stock and it's actually not once you get there, you will complain. You go to your hotel and find out your room isn't ready, you will complain.

As a consumer it's your right, especially if you have paid money up front and don't get the service you expect, to let them know.

I know players can play both sides of the fence and give their reasons, but still, this game is not in beta anymore, it is a release and really not a new release since it's been around for a couple of years. We also know weeks down the road this will be something of the past, but it still doesn't give the excuse to be this way. For all we know, this game might even suck 3 months from now to the average mmo player.

Call most of the upset players drama queens, but if you paid for a product, you have every right to complain, but to defend it and say get use to this kind of stuff @ launch is unacceptable .

Now good things about AA, once your in, your in, the devs have squashed many little bugs since headstart and working pretty hard to get things done. I am not a big fan to F2P games, especially asian style games, but the game does get pretty interesting once you get rolling and understanding the mechanics of what kind of game it really is.

The problem with this analogy is that NO WHERE in the EULA does it guarantee that you will be able to log into the game any time you like. You don't even "own" the game. You purchased a license to use their product as THEY see fit.

I can't believe there are still people who don't understand this simple concept.

Oh Come on! People paid for this with money and are not getting serviced rendered. It might be interesting for you to know that since most ELUA's must be acknowledged after purchase and were not available for agreement prior to money spent, they are not considered legally binding and/or are not being upheld in court in cases where challenged.

The EULA does not give them the right to make their service unavailable for like 80% of the time.

Unavailable to YOU. There are TONS of people happily playing the game. If you rolled on an overpopulated server, then this is how it's going to be. If you feel your rights are being infringed upon, get a lawyer. What else are you going to do? You think arguing about it here is going to make you magically able to log in?

OK then, get a lawyer and do something about it. Otherwise, it's just pissing and moaning.

I am a F2P player, and have not had to wait in a queue a single time. Should have waited and rolled on a server that wasn't totally overloaded. And by the way, IT'S A FUCKING GAME. Calm the fuck down.
