I did get a chance to play it in CBT2, and the combat was more fluid than what you find in SW:ToR and it requires you to pay attention to your position when attacking and defending, because you can dodge and block attacks, as well as position yourself so that the enemy has to turn and face you to actually hit you.   Standing toe-to-toe in this game is not recommended.  You also do more damage to your target if you can get behind of out flank them.

Positioning does matter in TOR too,  but positioning overall means a lot in other games like Phantasy Star,  TERA,  GW and so on.     Blade and Soul will not change the way MMOs are created or the way they are played.  It will not be a new revolution.  We already have games on the market with very fluid and different combat,  DCUO for instance,  which actually puts a lot more emphasis on skillful combat than Blade and Soul (even in PvE) and does it very well.    
 
Basically, all these new MMOs that people think are somehow inspirations I was playing back on the dreamcast...  there is nothing new about them or gamechanging.  That is all.

Not from my game experience it doesn't.   Most combat is static, stand face to face and play whack-the-mole.

Not sure what classes you've played in ToR, but postitioning very important from Smugglers needing cover to Jedis who do massive crit damage from behind.

This doesn't look to be the case in B and S. B and S is just more DCUO combat, roll/dodge, attack roll/dodge. It's fun but Blade and Soul really isn't something revolutionary.

Just bigger boobs (arguably) and nicer graphics than DCUO.

I hope the armor in the game are going to be AMAZING because the caracthere look totally normal and not sexy to be a girl or a man ... seriously Its missing some boobs ...

seiously ive played that game if there was nothing to play i would plya taht game , it worth it just on the market actually not a priority (for me)

maybe a real reason to get back in the game after i spend 50 hours in cata to do the pve and leave, ill come back and do the pve and see what new and I like chinesse stuff and the revemp of talent might help and the monk classes ive hated when DK was introduce in the game , but monk that a real new interesting classes.

well the op point of view was hechman for useless thing just for fun that cool, i must say hechman killed me and the reason after so many hours before they release the game ive stopped was hechman ...

seriously ... they are like letting us pre-play the game on RP element with a browser before gaving us the game, once the game will release everyone would already know all the game story and will have already exploit all the content lollololol !

Temporal Scroll to fight gold farming like hte plex, server vs server, diplomatic aspect .... and its under unreal engine 3 ( wich mean graphically it will appear even in 1 year or 2 or 3 ) I mean this game is still under developpement wich is good for other country .... And Microsoft is a proff that Asian market isnt something really important to get succes with game/console.

( its mean total bashing of a bad starting game, / wich they try to get more interesting and you guys gave hope down to every1 , btw i never played that game and i will wait before playing it until they think the game is worth and made the player pay for it )

Hey I have the smae problem as the OP.

I want an action mmo, I would play EVE but this is so lame its just select wait target lock pew pew pew. god and i can drink a cup of cofe and watch the t.v at same time.

I was playing Aion seriously whatever Gelk / open world everything is cool , but there you have the fucking RNG system wich you need to upgrade your weapon / craft them and there you go Spend all the month gathering ressource and fail it on the process seriously if there was no RNG , i would continu to play this game is awesome.

So if u not scary to have to grind money or mats for months, go head Aion ( dredg 46 + Gelk / fort / open abyss )

And u can twink at 50 so you will have time to gather a full pvp gear go for the lvl 30e set +10 it and jump at gelk.

seriously there nothing after aion T_T i left becuase of theRNG system suck so much but i miss dred and open pvp and fort T_T .... with that style of game play and deepness in skill.. .

no housing the 2.5 in online the 25 may and it will probably containt ( i hope) the 2.6 update wich is on korean server.. Or wont be to long to get it, the 3.0 is'nt out yet but the 2.5 with the mentor systeme ( wich amazing to lvl up some1) and more content start to really make feel the player that the 3.0 is close ...
