If the new WoW expansion will come out before WAR... Blizz gets more people and after they get bored of the new content they might be going for WAR/Aion. (a part of them not all of course).

If WAR gets out before the new WoW expansion it could gather up some good numbers.

Personally Im looking forward to Aion mainly and I might try WAR depending when its out.

If WAR isnt out before WoW expansion I'll go with the crowd and buy the new WOW expansion to check at least. who knows I might get hooked again?! at least until Aion.

WAR really has to launch before WoW expansion to get bigger numbers. If they dont see that, their marketing fails big time and it will affect the game pretty much.

Ah so your saying Warhammer's  art sytle of orcs, elves, dark, elves, and dwarves will have to have someone with a that specific taste to play the game. And that this will make it flop, because it doesn't appeal to the general public.

Then you cite Aion as being the next big thing? A Anime artsy game. Ya thats not a niche market I'm sure.

I dont think Aion is the next big thing either I just said it has better chances to do better then WAR

well i think the game will be good if you are alot into PVP.

the RVR factor will probably shine here but..

it cannot be the big thing cause it will probably lack alot in the PVE sector.

From what I understand gear wont make alot of difference like in WoW for example

but the best gear comes from the big enemy cities RVR action.

also I dont know about the rest but personally I find most races looking very ugly.

Im sure its all about the warhammer lore and weird looking dwarves and orcs but not

everyone likes or is even remotely familiar with that.

Crafting part also is practically inexistent. Heard of 2 professions, one to make pots and such and one some things that can enchance your gear.

If i would play i would probably go for Destruction - Chaos and Chosen career cause its the only one

that looks decently nice. Nice looking armors big weapons or 1hander and a huge shield.

All the rest look crappy to me. Maybe the high elves are decent too but not that attractive either.

So the game might be good in some areas if you are into RVR or into warhammer lore but cant say about the rest.

My opinion is that it wont be the next big thing. I see Aion having bigger chances to do better.

Was wondering if Aion will have free expansions like L2 had. Cause that would be very nice

cant find any info about it yet.

Im not worried because both lineage1 and lineage2 were made for the Asian market primarly and

secondarly later with a few servers for Eu/NA/whatever.

They didnt allocate the resources and the funds for the secondary market  much and they said that from the start.

Now on Aion case, they said from start they aiming both for EU/NA and Asian markets.

NcSoft is very big and they have the money to do what they want.

from production to publishing and support.

The game was designed from start for western tastes.

Translation and everything is made in different languages almost instantly.

They know what they want and they going for it.

no worries here.

Archlord wasnt made by Codemaster and neither is Jumpgate.

yeah its like WoW in a way.

ALOT better graphics and music though and less instanced.

Still going for Aion cause it delivers what they promised and much more which is already implemented and working.

customization is so complex and so many posibilities of course similarities will turn up.

You asume people that got bored with Aion go play TCoS. The reality is, people who like the game, go play it. If you like TCoS, why would you play Aion? Only because it is a big name?

No I dont asume people will get bored with Aion and will go TCoS. Where u pulled that from?

oh and Aion isnt a big name yet but it will be probably cause the game will be good enough to match maybe not WoW but WAR for sure. (not saying WoW is the best just the most played).

Its quality in the end that will get bigger numbers of course but Aion is not the next AoC, we have plenty of videos and beta players opinions to know the game is good and very polished already. They dont have anything to hide like some others.

Aion showed very good things so far, TCoS didnt show much then a few good looking spells and a few nice designed buildings.

From what I know Aion has better:

- graphics

- music (a matter of taste though)

- character customization

- character design (including armors, weapon designs)

- gameplay looks better in videos and much smoother then in WAR

- flying and flying combat in different situations

- siege machines and npcs you use/hire/grow (not sure if WAR has any didnt find anything)

- nicer pets

might be more or less cant think of any other atm.

Well I had a good impression of this game like 6 months ago.

Now its no big expectation just a time killer till Aion/WAR.. but since they not gonna release it any time soon they are pretty f*****d.

Big crowds need a game now and might get hooked and stay even when Aion/WAR  release if it turns TCoS to be good.

Waiting for q4 is too close to Aion or War or WoW expansion indeed.

They might risk hoping for WAR and Aion being pushed back again and release then... but its a big risk.
