I'm really excited about this game, it looks and sounds amazing. I'm not surprised by the lack of press/interest because it is not your typical care bear title. And the studio was, until now, pretty unheard of (at least for me), bigger studios/franchise names obviously get more attention. But I really think this game will be one worth waiting for, I'm getting this game the day it releases, and hopefully I can beta test it as well.

Ok I don't wanna write a noval here cause I have to get to work so here it goes short and sweet:

First off cutting yourself is kinda bad, I mean it could get infected and spread through your blood stream and before you know it your getting your arm amputated and no one wants that kind of hastle ::::35::. But hey if cutting yourself works for you to sort out your problems, its better then cutting someone else so go for it.

Second Goths/Witches/Vampires/Child Mulesting Priests can all be considered satanic to the uneducated masses who only listen to gospel music and who only own one book (yeah the Bible, atleast get the Hobbit or something while your at it). Or they can be completely normal people who are just interested in more then the same ol mainstream crap everyone else thinks is sofaking amazing. Except the priests who mulest young boys they should all be beaten to death hung, shot, stoned, given repeated paper-cuts in perticulerly sensitive places and then left in a room for 72 hours with Michael Jackson. If they still wanna touch little boys after that well they're more then fucked, so I got nothin on that.

Lastly like 90% applied to me except the gay/bi and the Count Dracula Cereal, I tried that stuff once and almost through up, oh and ya I have never cut myself (on purpose I have cut myself before and it has hurt like shit, especially paper-cuts....ouch)

So everyone smoke some pot get drunk and have sex alittle more often and you won't even give a shit what goth kids are up to in contemporary urban society.

P.S. sorry for the long post, hope it wasn't too boring.

I live in Florida and here you only have to be 15 to get your permit, but you have to have the permit for one year before you can get your license. Unless your already 18 then I think you can jus skip the permit all together. But I have heard alot about changing that to 18, not sure when its gunna take effect though.

What i don't understand is how anyone can compare a game in developement to a game that has been released and say that a game that is in developement suxs. Hey if you don't like turbine that is great more power to you. But to swear to be a tolkien fan and say that this game isn't anything like middle earth or what tolkien invisioned when it hasn't even been completed. I would like the number of the phsycic you talk to who is able to put you in touch with tolkien beyond the grave. I would dearly love to speak with tolkien.
Personally i dont think any of us know or have a clue what tolkien was truly thinking when he created middle earth. We can all speculate and guess. The lord of the rings was not and is not anything like the movies, the atmosphere is so much differant and so much richer. Hey i liked the movies but they can never be compared to the books. It is so much more than good and evil races. So there is no PVP or evil races, So this game isn't looking like every other MMO out there, I see that as a good thing, I just read the newest dev diary on Questing and how in depth it will be, Sounds to me like more fun than anyother game out there.

Ya your right, personally I think this game looks really good. It's not jus copying whatever has already been done in every other game and tried to make a game more for the RPG feel rather then the grind to hit max lvl and buy the best wep. Originally (and I'm talking Ultima Online here) mmoRPGs notice the RPG at the end there, were suposed to emerse the player in this fantasy world, not simply to make you go through the motions because you know you have to. I will be playing this game because it sounds like its right up my ally and even if alot of people don't play that's still straight because it's supposed to be for solo play too.

I agree, I was a huge UO fan and not for any one reason I could think of other then the fact it had tons of options. Games these days seem so stale and repetative, even WoW which everyone if haling as the the best MMO of all time, sure it was fun the first month I played but then theres jus more of the same. That's really what I feel has made games so boring is the lack of originality and the lack of letting people do what they feel like doing at the time. In UO I could wake up one morning and feel like slaying Ogres for 3 hours straight to gain my fencing, by the end of the day after having a drink in the pub with a friend and sitting at the bank bargaining for a full Valorite Plate suit I may jus feel like taking my ole fishing pole out of the bank, sitting at pond and seeing how many fish I could catch. Instead I find MMOs today to be more like wake up fight mob A for 6 hours, move to mob B for 13 hours, start killing mob c for 26 hours o but wait I have quest lets see what it is: Kill 200 mob Cs and report back to town for your reward. Well as insanely fun as that sounds a person like me needs a bit more variety in my gaming. Which is exactly why I started playing MMOs in the first place, it was like leading another life, you made your own decisions and each one had an effect on the way your char turned out. If HJ could provide half the custamization/options as UO did then I can garauntee it will be a huge success.

Sorry I couldn't provide more specific ideas I'm a bit tired at the moment, so I'll sleep on it and try to post something a bit more concrete for you guys to work with tomarrow.

I dont think the flamer quite understands mmorpg design. WoW did alot for what it was trying to do, make an mmo fun. When you look at the market today most mmo's are a tedious grind with no actual reward for the player. What WoW did was take away some tediousness in order to make the game funner. But as a result they also dropped some customizability.
If you look at previous mmo's Blizzard took the right choice to promote its games. Most mmo's hit 1 or 2 million subscribers tops. This includes games like Everquest, and lineage. The thing is the ones that strike out i.e. not going medieval fantasy; typically draw in a much larger customer base, such as Ragnarok Online with 5 million subscribers world wide at one point and has servers in 6 continents and 37 countries, now currently with more subscribers then WoW at a world wide aspect.
The thing is you dont get that popular by following by others examples, but by taking risks are building up something different. Thats what I believe they did in WoW and why they turned out to be so popular.

I don't want to say your wrong at all I agree 100%, but I don't think WoW had all that much ground breaking stuff in it, or even risky stuff. They just seemed to look at all the other successful games out there and take the best stuff from each. Which is definelty not a bad idea, if it ain't broke don't fix it, or if its fun don't change it. And hey what do know it worked rock on Blizzard.

I personally really like how they're trying to port good mmos to the console fans, the more people playing the better for everybody, but only if they make it so console and PCs can play togethor otherwise they shouldn't even bother with it.

Listen man first off let me say that was one helluva post you jus had there. I personally don't have time to type such a narrative so I'll get to the point: Either you like the game (with the ebayers, botters, adena sellers, etc.) or you don't. Jus don't sit on a forum and bitch about it, that won't change anything....PKing em though, that tends to get there attention quite nicely::::40::.

Not to get off topic but since you mention it early 2006 is the estimated release of the PS game Phantasy Star Universe for ps2 and computer.
