P.S. Really, what problem do those developers want to compensate with those absurd weapon sizes we see in more and more games ? Whatever...

Oh gosh, I LOVE how the weapons are so big :) I really do. I love using 2hders and one of my fetish on picking up an MMO is to check our their 2hders. LOL Silly but  true.

There are others that just likes to read extra content for the purpose of just knowing...It doesn't have to be anything that would give you the edge on how to play or how to go about doing things in the game. Some pple just like to read, especially of a game that they are waiting for. Period, not much to understand why pple like this and not that or vise visa.

Tribes 2. Wow. Its my first online game ever too. I was addicted to it for 2 straight years until they canned Dynamix (they moved on to developed Planetside...If i remembered correctly; which I was also addicted to it for several years to followed). I loved team base game. Anyways...for those that have never played Tribes 2, here are some clips for you to get an idea of what it was like.

My favorite part of the game; Base Raping (although this vdo didn't really do the raping justice). All Your Base Are Belong To Us!!!

Tribes 1 was so much fun.  I wasted many an hour on the modded servers.  Tribes 2 not so much.

Setting up and flying the unmanned rockets with different payloads was one of the coolest things I've ever done in an MMO.

I LOVE Tribes 2 much more. I guessed I started out with T2 so it was natural for me to loved it. Its alittle slower pace but the team base and role was great. I guessed thats why I followed the Dev who worked on T2 to Planetside when they developed it.

Well...who cares what anyone says. I'm just gladded someone is willing to take it down from the shelf and dusting it off. Its been sitting there for a very long time. The last Dev to have touch the franchise didn't do justice to it! And to considered that the Dev had a good track record of producing a great game.

I've always wanted an MMO of Tribes. Now that its actually coming true, I'm going to be the happiest school gal!

OMG!!!!!! Are you freaking serious!?? LOL I just pissed in my pant! A Tribe Universe!!? WOHOOOOO!

Ok back to normal...Wow, this is awesome. I've always wanted a Tribes Universe. I remembered someone made a mod with a very big map once. Had objective and all but didn't catch on with the community. I sure will be keeping my eyes on this one. Tribes 2 was my first online addiction game ever. So much memories and so many friends.

I had high hopes for this particular game since it was first announced. But when I saw some videos, I was very disappointed. I have nothing against UT and its gameplay...but why did Huxley have to go that route. It should be more of a team base and squad base...instead of fast pace like UT, with its anti-gravity and crazy movements.

I'm also waiting for some news myself. They really need to make us happy with some update news!

I would recommented that you not reply to those email spams. I get that on a daily basis. The first few time I recieved that, I was wondering why Blizzard would send such a mail to me. Than I made the mistake of replying. Guessed what followed? My WoW acct was hacked and believed to be sold to an online acct buyer. They changed all the infor on my acct and basically blocked me out from using it. Since I've already quitted WoW for almost a year now, I don't feel the need to reclaim that acct. So I guessed at this moment, whoever brought my acct is probably playing it and lvling my toons for me. With that acknowledge, if I ever do want to jump back on WoW again, I'll just have to call up Blizzard support and fax in my ID and the acct keys and I should get my acct back with my toons all geared up and lvled. hehe I hope.

So yeah, DO NOT reply to those email spams.

I'am sorry to say I've just deleted war from my computer playing as order for me has just been a complete waste of time, I've  played on 5 different servers and it's been the same on every one order getting completely rolled in world RVR sadly if that continues the way it is it will kill the end game and ultimately the game itself, it's pretty sad because I over all like the game but sadly as it is at the moment I don't see this game haveing any long term lifespan.

I'll come back in a few months time to see if things have impoved so in the mentime have fun fun playing.

And I'm sorry to say but this has been a complete waste of my 1min of life reading this. :(

Changing MMO's when you are not burned out on the previous one is a plan to not last 30 days in the new one.   You will play it comparing everything to your old game and the new game will usually come up short.  So unless you can join War expecting to take a look and go back to WoW afterwards, it might not be a good idea.....

I couldnt have agreed with you more. So true.

I just picked it up today and it really reminds me of a cross between lotr and eq2 but not as cohesive and more primitive and choatic.now these are my very first impressions having just bought it today and spending a few hours playing.but first impressions can be everything and i can say with confidence that it will not knock wow of the block.

Hmm..just a quick question. How many topic are you going post up about your disappointment about WAR and how its not a "WoW killer"? To be quick honest, the pple that actually likes WAR can give a rat ass if it's not a WoW killer...we like it none the less.

What the topic says. Can someone spair the time to answer that question for me please?

Kinda funny really.  Hope it will continue to grow and be more and more populare when ppl realise its pretty polished and meaningful for longterm gameplay.   But for that to happen Mythic needs to keep throwing new things in all the time.

2nd most on xfire. I dont use xfire. why do i need someone tracking what i do. im not a 2 year old.

Hmm...you might not be 2 yrs old but your response is along the line of a 2 yrs old haha. That link of Xfire wasn't to track what YOU do, it was tracking how WAR and other MMO games are doing concerning the popularity and populations. Doh. You don't even need to have Xfire to take a look at it. Double DOH.

I've played WoW for almost 2 years, and i have to say that this game looks very similar to WoW or looks like a copy when you see both, but Runes of Magic has so many things that WoW doesn't have, and i mean little details the game has and you only notice about them when you play the game which makes the game pretty good to be F2P.

It's for sure a must try for all the F2P mmo players, i've tried the chinese version "Radiant Arcana" (i advice you to try it out if you wanna check how the game feels like, registering is very easy) and i was "impressed" since the game feels nice, polished and worth it to try it imo. It has loads of quests, at least on the early lvls (i haven't played so much the chinese version, just enough to check out a bit about the game). You add stats which makes your char at least a bit more customized. Character customization is "decent" aswell, you can even put little/giant head which made me laugh.

Dual classes are a good feature, tho you can't level both at the same time, you have to go to a NPC and choose the class you want to be primary and that one will get the exp.

Definitely this F2P seems promising, but lets see how the high end looks like since i don't know if it will have any PvE raids and such, or just another mindless leveling F2P.

Those who didn't get into the CB and want to try it out...this is the chinese download page http://ra.moliyo.com/page/download.shtml

Btw, P2P are not that good and i've tried a few...they usually are less "grindfest" with a bit more high end, but anyway they cut the "lvling grind" to make you grind the same raid/dungeon or whatever for mindless months...so it's about the same. You don't raid alone but with your guild/friends, the same goes to F2P games...you don't have to be alone...otherwise i think choosing to play a mmorpg is a bad idea ;)

Regards.

I went to the link you'd provided to see if i can download the client...but problem is, I can't navigate around the chinese writings haha. So I have no ideas as to where or what to download! :(

IRVINE, CALIF. – June 2, 2008 –It’s official.  NHN USA, a subsidiary of NHN (KOSDAQ:035420), the largest Korean Internet company, announced today that it has secured the rights to publish the long-awaited Huxley in North America and Western Europe. Bringing online gamers everywhere closer to the chance to exercise their fragging skills against thousands of other players in the first twitch-action massively multiplayer online first-person shooting (FPS) game Huxley, the online shooter is slated to arrive on the PC via ijji.com in late 2008.

The game itself is mostly in english, the ui is not. So i doubt it will be very hard to translate it, since it was designed to be sold in the usa. Webzen also uses a webstarter program like ijji.com does.

watch this VIDEO  at 2:00 there will be a tour of a city all the buildings are in english.

(ignoring the ui and names find one non english word)

Next time try asking when it will come out, you will get nicer replies.

I was watching that VIDEO. The city areas looks pretty cool and visually stunning. But...the game play, that kind of turned me off. It's almost just like Unreal Tournament, from weapon's effect, the jumping into the air moment,  to the maps. Don't get me wrong, I think UT is cool with all it's glories...but since this is an MMO, I would preferred that it was more like teambase gameplay...kind of like BF2-2142 and Planetside (or even Tribes2), with each person playing a role in their team or squad...but with Huxley graphic and settings. Or maybe it is, I couldn't tell from watching the video.

Kind of disappointing actually, after a long wait for it.

The real question is can you customize your character or is it like every other f2p asian game with zero options?

Actually, you will be very suprised on the character customizer. Check this vdo out:

http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=hbYDuj4pXFY&feature=related

I like to look into MMO due to its graphical design and character design and whats related to it. I didn't say the game sucks. If you read my post again, I'd mentioned that it sucks not having the helmet on visually. Yes, I'm an artist. I love to design characters, armors, weapons, etc. So its almost natural for me to looks at little artistic details. Can't help it. But I did not say the game nor its gameplay sucks. I just wish they had helmets that you can see damnit, is that too much to ask!?

There are alot of pple like me out there. Pple that gets turn off easily by a game due to some graphic design. Like WoW, for me its a great fuking game. I still play it off and on. But I HATE their armor design. Especially during your early lvls. You look like a fuking clown with blue helmets, red chest mail, purple boots, yellow glows....etc. You get my point. And no, sometime I dont want to have to wait til I'm lvl60 just to get a nice set of armor that has a matching colors haha. Graphic design has as much impact on a game as does its gameplay. :)

BTW, art design in this game is freaking awesome...just tool bad if they won't show the helmet on your character when you have it on. They should have an option to show or not to show.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from the screenshot alone, this game doesn't show you wearing any helmet. Just like Lineage 2, you might have a helmet equipped but it doesn't show on your character's head. To me, that just sucks :(
