At the moment I'm pretty sure we can play as SGC personal, Goauld and Asgard. But probably not Wraith and Ori and most probably not replicators. By looking at the worlds that they have been designing, I"m pretty sure we will be fighting those invisible guys called Reetou and may be other Goauld and probably Ori and Kull warriors. |

MMORPG.com: Are there any significant differences between the European and North American versions of Cabal Online, or is it just a portal to the European version? Cabal Online: Its always nice to start off the interview with an easy question! In essence both versions are exactly the same. We share the same development teams, receive the same updates and the content is almost identical. While each version is run by a different company, in effect both are just regional versions of the same game and offer very much the same experience. So yes, www.cabalonline.com is the portal for European gamers, while the OGPlanet site is the portal for North American players.

So are you saying that I was correct all along with my whole point being that the Q & A is full of lies? |

I hope they wont release a beta too early with full of bugs or take in way too many people for the closed beta. I've been keeping tabs with the weekly dev Q & A and I think the way it's going right now we would probably have a closed beta somewhere Oct, Nov and a release somewhere around Dec. to early next year. I think thats where they are aiming too. Personally I would like to have a this years summer release but I know that isnt going to happen. |

Originally posted by TheTitan Actually the last time I played was last week. And I never said that I have been playing since VERY FIRST closed beta. I have been playing since US closed beta the one that was just before the open beta. And whats worse is that sometime during past month or so they promised to have nonestop events called event to event. But they never said that the events will be limited to cash shop players. For example the pet event where you submit a screenshot of your pet to win a price. Only the cash shop players can participate in this event as pets are account bound cash shop only items. And even if you are a cash shop user, unless you spend money and buy a pet you cant participate in their "nonestop" events. But then again they never said that events will NOT be limited to cash shop users. So I guess theres nothing wrong with it. And not to mention the fact that pets are totally useless as they follow you around and do absolutely nothing, no stats, no leveling, no attacking and no nothing.. |

Having played Cabal since the beta, I laughed my "back side" off when I saw the answers to some of the questions. The answers were just simply FALSE or in other words NOT the truth or better - LIES..
Here are the answers to some of the questions from a perspective of a player who has been playing since the beta.
Cabal is pretty much your garden variety none stop brainless grind just like all the other F2P Korean MMORPG out there. Around mid game the quests will stop and from that point on it will be nothing but grind. But a player who has just started playing will be completely misled as at the first levels there will be a massive amount of quests. At the beginning, leveling will be all about questing. But this will slow down as you approach level 60 or so and after 70 onward there will be 1- 3 quests / level that involve killing 60-90 mobs of certain type in order to gain 2-5% exp for that level.
Cabal has the worst crafting system I have ever seen. Yes it's true that unlike other games you dont need to be a specific class for crafting. Any lvl 50+ character can craft. But the issue is that out of all types of armor / weapons you can craft, only one type is worth anything in the market. Whats worse is that you can always buy things from the market for cheaper than the cost for crafting them. Example, to craft a high upgrade core (About 600-800k value in market) you will require 5 medium upgrade cores (About 250-300k value in market for EACH) + a rare drop only item + bunch of other items that can be bought from NPC. Therefore crafting is useless and you can NEVER make money from crafting. YES. The paying users will get 25% exp in both hunting and crafting and 25% increase in drop rates. And you can buy upgrade cores from the cash shop and easily upgrade your gear making yourself much stronger than a none paying CASUAL player. Is there any type of faction or reputation “grinding” involved in Cabal Online? YES. Honor points are required for crafting and using higher level potions and gear.
You can choose from about 5 or so different faces and hair colors and 2 genders. All armor from the that class looks the same and you will be wearing higher level armor such as Osmium for months at end. As a result everyone is just another clone. Oh and cash shop users can choose from about 5 funky looking different outfits. Other than that: Towns are filled with gold sellers and chat is filled with gold seller spam and none PVP channels are filled with botters. The GMs do not kick/ban the gold sellers and selling Cabal gold is a huge industry itself. When you progress through levels at some point you will realize there is no more quests and no more drops. At that point you will be forced to buy money from gold sellers to buy potion if you wish to continue leveling. |

Wow.. This is gonna be great. If they make a really good quality game it can even bring more fans to the stargate series. And you dont really have to worry about having the best hardware b/c unreal engines are famous for running smooth on almost any kind of hardware. You might have to cut down the quality but playability should not be a problem...

Every level you get a new quest. To my understanding, the quest you get every level is like a world quest kind of thing. Probably some parts of the story that you are uncovering. Usually like asking you to do favors and telling you why it needs to be done and sometimes give you a lot of background information. But you dont have to do it right away and you can let quests collect and do them all at once one after the other. When you do it, you get a lot of exp (once I got like 40%) and sometimes money, weapons, armor and things like this. And yes if you do them it helps a lot in leveling up... |

Upto about level 4 or something I think pple will always be wearing training armor. So they would looks the same except different faces and stuff. But in the real game it dosent matter at all b/c it's too fast to notice those in the middle of a battle. |

This is a small video clip of me getting owned by an Accratian rocket launcher from back in the days when I was level 23. Please dont complain about my video editing skills. It's about 10MB and I uploaded it in two places. Pick the one with shortest waiting time.. |

You might want to refer to the post about skill system in RF on this one. I know a specialist that makes me elemental ammo and he plays a spiritualist(mage). And some that I know play warriers.. |

Im planning to be a accratian ranger and become a striker. They can transform their body into a rocket launcher and deal some mad damage. They are the best damage dealers in the game.. Specially with elemental ammo, they are dedly.. |

Ok say for example you selected to be a ranger. For every level you gain, the "long range skill" cap for this class is much higher than other classes. And things like "defence" level cap is much lower. So yes... you can train both long range and short range and do like a dual class kind of thing untill level 30. But you will never be that good of a warrier than a person that chosed the option to be a warrier. And also if you powerlevel, you will gain levels while you have crappy skills. And then when you get to higher levels, you wont be able to use new weapons b/c you dont meet the skill requirements. So your option will be to use lower class weapons. BUT!!! The problem is that with lower class weapons you cant hit higher level mobs. You'll just keep missing. And if you go to a newbie area where your newbie weapon CAN hit the mobs, you probably wont get any skills b/c those mobs are very low level compaired to your level. So say for example, if you are a warrier and you powerlevel and when you reach level 35 you realized that you cant keep going, the only thing you can do is to DELETE THE CHARACTOR AND START OVER!!! And even if you are in a higher level with crappy skill levels, someone that actually grinded all their status and are in a lower level than you will be more powerful than you in a PvP battle.... Your buffs and attack skills work the same way... You start off with one attack skill and 2 self buff skills. The more you use them the higher the level they would be.. So dont leave any of your attack skills or buff skills behind.... |

I play the philippine version right now. Basically this is how it works.. In regular games you play to level up and once you have gained a level you receive "stat points". And u can spend these points in leveling up your status. Like strength, speed and stuff. But here in RF, when you level up, instead of gaining stat points, what you get is the ability to increase your status. |
