Anyone disappointed that Inferno has (apparently)been beaten?
General Discussion « Diablo 3 5/21/12 6:11:13 AM
They put in a press release before the game came out that you'd be able to solo inferno, so no, not disappointed at all, Diablo is a genre ment to be replayed for years if not decades, how quickly someone beats something has no relevance to the rest of the Diablo gaming community, THIS IS NOT AN MMO. Had me and my friends wanted to we coulda beaten inferno by now, but why rush it? Having fun farmin Hell |

Just as a heads up, I've logged 12 hours of play time and have only just gotten into Act II on normal difficultys, it really depends on if you play Diablo like it supposed to be and fully explore and enjoy playing not just rushing the story line. |

Untill just a few hours ago I personaly have had no issues with the game and played from about 6am till 2pm or so unhindered, the games still great but yea it is having the typical launch day issues online games seem to always have, I feel its expected and just gotta bare with it for a day or two usually. |

Well, The Game of Thones really only has its politics as far as a show otherwise people watch it for the softcore scenes that are littered around this show like ashe signifiying a volcano erruption, so for a game they wont have much more and they wont be able to have the maturity rating, they've hinted it will be a browser based game, and then theres the people incharge of the game, nothing here is really looking up. The best they can hope for is Battlestar Galactica success which is barely that at all, TV studios funneling money to make a game never works, it has to be a Developer going to a TV studio begging to make a game using their IP. If they realy believed in the game it wouldnt be browser based, purely because if it had enough substance it couldnt be ran on a browser. |

A TV channel station must be funneling serious money into development for something like this monstrosity to occur. |

I know the combat is going to be great, I wanna see if they have any noncombat features to make it a real mmo with lasting fun. |

5 is whats in game now, with people speaking of being able to buy up to 8 slots. Personally I'd prefer only 1 or 2 character slots per account. |

I agree with you on all these points, and have started to feel this way for a while now, I just keep trying to hold hope that soon someone with change, or else I will eventually be done with the genre itself |

Originally posted by EinsamWulf Whats was your overall impression of the game: First I will give a quick answer here, overall the game is amazing, but still needs huge work. They are definitly on the right track to being the first company to blend competative FPS with Open world PvE, its fun fast paced action in the frays, but at the same time the maps are large enough for tactical combat and strategic placements.
Red 5 is taking a very unique approach to this game, do you feel that this is the next step in MMOs? Red 5's invitation only untill release system is definitly unique. They send out new waves of beta invites every 2-4 weeks, and with that they give current testers 2 friend keys to give out aswell, so far I've got nothing but good reviews for this system, it has ensured that only those interested in the game( If you sign up on the forums and log onto them each day you have a high chance of getting invited, only took me 2 months of checking each day ) get into the game, and it also has allowed people to get friends or clanmates into the game, which I can definitly tell you gets way better when your doing stuff in a Squad. I can definitly see this being a new trend for MMO testing if it continues as succesfully as it has so far, but then again Red 5 is a different breed then more developers.
Having played for four months and experienced first hand the work that has gone into the game how far do you think the game is from a full release? Firstly I just wanna say Red 5 is taking an oddball approch on "Release", instead of letting us test parts at a time, then when they are finished putting it together and "Releasing" it, they are letting us test everything they currently have available and adding to it as they can. Once they feel there is enough ingame content, then they will title it "Released" and take away the invitation only process, now that being said, in my 4 months huge changes and improvements have been made to the system, if Red 5 stays on the current pacing of updates I could see it being "opened" at the end of the year, but Red 5 isnt going to rush things and if the testers or the devs dont think its ready you can expect a push back on the release date.
Lastly how is the community relationship with the devs, they seem pretty active with the forum community but what about with those of you that are involved in testing? Do they respond and listen to the suggestions put forth? Simply put, its the best Tester-Dev relationship I've ever seen in about a decade of beta testing, all the activity you see from them on the forum community, you can basicly double that and thats how active they are on the beta furoms. They have listened to the voice of the tester community like none other, when you post feedback or bug reports you can expect a respones that day, giving a small idea of what they are doing in regardes to your topic so that you kno where it is in development. They are still working on very core mechanics to the game, and so alot of stuff is not high on their priority list( friends list, trading, crafting specifics etc. ), but many times so far they have gotten such a vocal respones about certain things that they will movie it straight to the top of the list and we usualy see a fix for it the next week. Red 5 has definitly been the most accepting devloper of internal input, we see them pretty regularly in-game testing out features, talking with us asking what we think of this and that, asking us to give suggestions and just generally making sure we are having a good time. Over the 4 months I've come to respect the company alot and I see them having huge potentinal to be a big name in the Dev world even after Firefall.
Hopefully that answered your questions to your satisfaction, if not ask again lol And no I dont have any buddy keys right now, I've been giving them to close friends who I kno are into beta testing games and into FPS' in general right now, but pretty soon I will be out of locals to give and I may start doing contests on here to give them out. Untill then you can sign up on their forums and check in daily for a chance, or check out their Offtopic forum, theres usualy testers running contests for beta keys. |

Well now that the NDA has been lifted figured we could make a question post, I've been in the best for about 4 months now and if you have any questions about the current state of the game ask away and I will answer the best I can.
As far are Frame specific questions go, I only play Engineer so cant really answer alot on the Recon/Dread/Medic/Assault |

Name one thing you miss from the "original" MMOs...

A true crafting system, ala Star War Galaxies crafting system, the complexity is needed for a real game. I was a pure crafter and loved spending hours "grinding" my proffession, which is what most people consider sitting around crafting while chatting with fellow crafters and customers about wares and materials. |

The game itself isnt accualy launching for a long while, they have it in closed beta and are sending out waves of invites slowly but surely, as they send them out they are also patching the game adding more to it, and they are going to continue this till they feel they have enough people in the game and enough content for a full game to then say its fully open to play, untill then its beta invites and invites from current testers ala buddy keys. |

If you guys sign up, on to the website, and the forums specificly, then log on each day, you have a high chance of getting into the games beta. |

Guild Wars 2: Exploring the Ascalon Catacombs Dungeon
News Discussion « General Discussion 3/06/12 10:11:26 AM
Sounds awesome, I've been waiting for this game for years already and I cant be any more excited for this game, Im really just praying that ArenaNet sticks to their guns and doesnt lower the difficulty of stuff once the game is launched and the endless whinning of things being too hardcore ensues. |

SWG had an entire taming system that was pretty awesome, even going as far as raising them if you were the right profession, from the land speeders and of course that skiff were always awesome aswell. That games mount system was my favorite |
