Eq2 offers so much more then gear. If that is what you want from a game then WoW would probably be more your style. I have mostly fabled gear with a few mythic items. I have good gear but far from the top stuff.

a 'FEW' mythics items? Wonder which ones you got besides your class epic weapon and maybe the 2nd subclass one which is possible to get if you betray and do both quests. but 'a few'? i call bs ;D

they do shit like that in the eq2 forums all the time. wonder, what they do when they drove off all the customers..

just read about the game that elves are in peace with dwarfes...kinda strange, since eves and dwarfes hate each other in all other fantasy games/novels ;d

I don't know about war but AoC was a big dissapointment for me. Probably teh last funcom game i bought

Been writing a huge post, but seems like it got eaten by the forums.

In short: The game isn't what it could have been (or what I expected it should be) and im not 100% sure if it is worth playing.

That preview sounds really nice, almost makes me wanna reactivate my account. Well let's see when it's finally out :)

Even WoW as simple as it is was harder than this combat. As a melee character I was able to take 4-6 monsters at once because after one died, I would go to FULL no matter if I was in combat still with others. That was very very cheesy. Can you explain if this was just because we were in the lower trial levels? The game can't possibly be this way all the way through?

 

Edit: I would like to add, it completely removed the feeling of needing my real life friend to party with. It made it trivial and very unfun.

And of course, those mini dings get less and less cause it takes you longer to lvl up the higher you get.

You can reach max lvl so fast in WoW it aint even funny, what's tedious about it, must have missed it.

I started from scratch on PvP servers a while ago, but I had very good PvE experience.

I have to say, it can be embarrassing from time to time to be on a PvP server with all those twinks but I had no problem to gear myself up and fight back within like 15-20 hours /played.

And you can always just outlevel the twinks. You'r leveling so fast in this game if you want to, beeing lvl 30 in a few hours. At this level you won't meet much twinks anymore tbh.

All in all, it isn't as bad as the OP stated but I guess as a new player you have to be patient and some kind of masochist to make it to the higher levels our get the gear to fight back ;)
