I, the Guild Master of a guild with a Full Tier 1 City just got banned
General Discussion « Age of Conan 6/01/08 12:16:03 PM
If you are truely innocent then I am sorry this has happened. If you are level-headed and follow the procedures I am sure you will be reinstated and perhaps be given something in return (for being unjustly accused--and banned). Good luck. However if you did cheat and exploit then glad to see you go (and anybody else that cheats/exploits), as that sort of player is not good for any game or community no matter how one tries to paint the picture. For those out there that say it is Funcom's fault for having the exploit in there....right.....Deep down you know it is wrong if you have any sense of right and wrong in life (and I am sure you do). Just because you are able to go incognito in these games that does not mean it gives you a license to cheat/steal/grief etc. Every game has bugs and every game will always have bugs, period; that doesn't mean they should be exploited. |

".....Out of the ones listed, UO. I did, however, beta test The Realm and even before that, Yserbius and the other MedievaLand games on The Sierra Network ...." Good times!!

I noticed a few people in this thread talked about NwN. A fantastic, and very heavy RP world, that is currently using NwN is Layonara. Check it out, you will not be disappointed if you are indeed looking for a heavy RP world with a dedicated RP community and GM team. www.layonara.com

GM corruption, just got perma banned for the hell of it

I always find it humorous how peole say "for no reason" and yet after much to-do we find out there was indeed a reason. Why try to take advantage of people? That is childish and immature, but to each their own I suppose. The additional question is why do you think this would NOT be a bannable offense when you were warned about being watched closely...and then you whine and complain instead of trying to do the mature thing and get it lifed via the proper channels. That tells many of us that the proper thing was done in this case, and thank goodness. I say don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.

Good job MMORPG! They have to do this because of the people that hide behind the anonymity of the internet so that they can flame and troll or just stir up trouble. It's disgusting and shows a bad side of human nature, sadly. This is a public forum and it is owned by a company, they have the rights to set the rules in any way they want. Follow the rules and nothing happens and you can post away as your heart desires. Don't follow the rules and you get banned, and good riddance in my opinion. Don't like the rules? Then go somewhere else and post there. Most people are happy to have a place that they know things will be deleted or removed from the public eye when they are not appropriate for a public forum.

General: Get a free copy of MASSIVE Magazine!
News Discussion « General Discussion 1/31/07 7:17:47 AM
This is a good magazine folks. If you want to read about MMO's in a game magazine and not have to sift through other "junk" like you do in other magazines, but you want to read about MMO's only, this is a great magazine for that goal. I subscribe to it and I am glad I do. In my humble opinion it is one of the better magazines out there--but then for the most part I am only interested in MMO's or RPG's. If you are hesittating about ordering because you are uncertain about the quality of a new magazine don't hesitate any longer. It is a good one to have for your reading purposes. |
