They don't tell you that you can't have a FAT32 for the same reason they don't tell you that you DO need a monitor to play.

I am also going to disagree with the OP.

My first point is that the game will be a successful venture no matter what for one simple reason. It is tailored to the Fanboys.
Brad always said it. His goal is to get 150k-200k subscribers and no more. All the people who are saying that V:SoH is going to take population away from WoW are, in my opinion, wrong because V:SoH is not going to be a competitor to WoW, it will be an alternative with deeper gameplay for people who so desire.

Second I will dispute the readiness of the game. Right now Sigil is releasing a huge patch after a huge patch. And at the rate that they are going, I expect the game to be pretty polished by mid-beta.

Third point is that Beta 5 that's going to roll around is not TRULY an open beta. They are still limiting access to I believe 15k accounts (not 25K as was stated earlier). The reason they are calling it open is because there will be no NDA.

I will agree that many people expect Open-beta to be a free trial and THAT might hurt some reputation, but I wouldn't be worried about it.

Gentlemen, don't get all hyped up for no reason. Jan 4th is the ESTIMATED date. The only official statement is Early jan.

Let's say the thread is two pages long. And I know someone just posted so all I want to do is read the last post. But to do that I have to first go on to the first page and then click the page number I want to go to. Seems a bit silly.

There are three ways to get the Open Beta Key (Aside from just asking someone who has it):

1. Register At the Vanguard forums and hope you are the lucky one who gets picked.
2. Be a paying subscriber at Fileplanet.
3.Pre-Order the Game and get the pre-order box.

What's the purpose of living if you don't get exited about anything. Be optimistic! All the game has to do is be on par with EQ2 and WoW, and it will have me sold and right now it's more than that already.

I never said that I am following the game blindly.  Turd or no turd, you are breaking a legal agreement. I am hoping that the game will be great, but I know it will have it's flaws.

You are correct in that aspect. They are changing the look and feel of all the races right now. So I am assuming it will be diferent then the beta screens.

M1sf1t, you are one of the worst offenders. Not do you just say negative things you also can't be trusted. Because you either broke the NDA by saying that you are in beta or you are not in Beta at all.

Why is everyone saying the game is going to be a turd. It's a great game and even in Beta it is better than many MMOs that are final.

Yah, their website is crap, I gotta agree. But a lot of the FAQ is not finalized yet because the game is not finalized.
And my biggest fear is that they are going to make the world barren, but I heard it's not a problem. I heard they are adding random crap to it every now and then.
