This is a step by step guide on how to connect to Earthrise's IRC channel..

Step 1 - Head over to mIRC: Internet Relay Chat client

Step 2 - Click on the Download tab up the top

Step 3 - Click on 'Download mIRC'

Step 4 - Click on 'Download Now'

Step 5 - Install it to your hardrive

Step 6 - Open mIRC

Step 7 - Press Continue

Step 8 - Fill in your name, email (if you want, its not needed)

Step 9 - Fill in your Nickname

Step 10 - Click on Servers on the left

Step 11 - Search for the 'GameSurge' Folder and double click on it

Step 12 - Double click on 'Random server'

Step 13 - It should take you back to the connect screen

Step 14 - Click 'Connect'

Step 15 - A whole lot of text should fly up and finally bring up a channels window, in that channels window click 'Add'

Step 16 - Type 'Earthrise' into the Channel window, with no spaces

Step 17- Click Join on connect then Click 'OK'

Step 18 - Make sure 'Pop up favorites on connect' and 'Enable join on connect' are clicked

Step 19 - Double Click on the channel #Earthrise

Step 20 - Chat!

I played since release and quit 3 months ago.. I couldnt stand blizzard stuffing up the game anymore.. it just hurt >_>

Now people including myself constantly talk about how Vanilla WoW was the best and how every expansion has ruined the game more and more.  Now Blizzard has not officially confirmed that new expansion 'Cataclysm' however I believe it to be true because thats the sort of road that Blizzard would take.  That is the total wrong approach to the game but its not like they are going to listen.. Now I could go on all day long about how every single expansion has ruined the game but I might as well just get to the point.

How about they allow players to choose which expansion they play? How about they make about 5 level 60 servers and 5 level 70 servers.. They Allow free transfers to these servers and anybody who is higher then level 60 and wants to transfer to the level 60 servers would be scaled down to level 60 and will not be able to regain there levels unless they payed to transfer off these servers and level up the normal way again.

They dont have to give us any more content on these level 60/70 servers just leave it the way it was originally, people can have alts on these servers (or even mains) and could also play on the normal servers at level 80+
