I m level 40 and I'm throwing up quests.

Does everybody have some kind of undead infestation in their homeland???

I realized that leveling just became a chore for me in ESO instead of having fun. I read and listen to all the dialogue, I craft, I read books, its all very interesting but also very boring.

Dungeons are too damn easy or I've been incredibly lucky with the grouping tool.

Fortunately there is pvp but the game has so many bugs and combat clunkiness that its hard to enjoy that aswell, not to mention that we spend more time traveling in Cyrodiil instead of fighting. Or camping a keep route to sucker punch people and kill them in 2-3 hits but that isn't fun either. Or sieging a keep shooting a stone from a trebuchet every 20 seconds, not fun. I like fair fights whether I lose or win, those are very very rare in Cyrodiil. Also after 1AM PVP closes down so no choice besides questing after that.

All quests in MMO's are pretty boring, what drives these games apart and keeps leveling interesting besides the storytelling, its the gameplay. The way you fight to complete these quests keeps you entertained, maybe that's why I m beginning to be fed up with the game. The combat is unresponsive, animations get stuck and again the game is too easy. The story is good, the voice acting is pretty good but a game is not meant to be an audio-book.

I really want to like the game but more and more I find it hard to, just canceled my sub unfortunately. I ll probably resub when they add more polish to the game and combat system. And more features! This game needs more features BADLY! ALL YOU DO QUEST!

This game is really good, played it for a few months and its really immersive, too bad the european version is even more behind than the US version which is already very behind the chinese version.

The combat is really good besides one little detail that ruins it for me, some attacks lock your character to your target and if by any chance your target gets stunned or pulled by another players, the attack animation gets interrupted and is wasted.

This, the poor PVE fights ( bosses sometimes kill you without doing any animation ), and the fact that the game seems to have no max level making it difficult to catch up to others, ruined it for me.

I spent countless hours dueling people though, lots of fun. After you take a lot of beatings you start learning the combat styles and take that to your advantage antecipating player's moves.

The fact this is a open world pvp sandbox game is the reason this game is a success.

My thoughts exactly, I bought Guild Wars 2, couldn t make myself to love it in order to keep playing it but I recognize the quality the game has. Specially for a buy to play game, subscription free.

It has a great team supporting it, great pvp at least in battlegrounds, I just think the direction and vision of the game isn't my cup of tea.

Cyrodiil has so many problems its hard to even know where to begin.

One step at a time though, if they could fix the combat responsiveness and clear the bugs it wouldn t be such a frustrating experience to start with. I'm Veteran rank in pvp ( not level ) and I can say this pvp has some good moments in it but from a gameplay point of view it needs a lot of work despite all the clunkiness and bugs.

The combat is very bad, mostly consists on who attacks who first from stealth. Sucker punching people doesn't require any skill. Gathering in groups of 20 AOEing everything on our path requires no skill aswell.

Capturing a scroll with the sorcerer spammable teleport is just a reflection of how little thought they gave to their pvp system.

Cyrodiil is beautiful, runs very smoothly, its nice to hear guards commenting on our quests, its nice to view the battles as a spectacle but when it comes to player versus player, this has a very clunky, unresponsive and unbalanced combat.

I really hope they overcome these obstacles and make the PVP a treat to play, it certainly has a lot of potential. Potential, nothing more at the moment unfortunately.

There's only one body model per race right? Or they changed it so we can be a fat dude now? From the BETAs I played you could change only the face attributes and skin colour.

Wildstar is not very popular at the moment but nobody can deny how good it plays and how challenging it is, not to mention its longevity. Nevermind the art style or lack of voice acting in quests, people have to see games for what they are and not for what they appear to be.

Having played most MMO's out there, Wildstar will surely be a huge hit, if not right away definately in the long term. I would prefer a less cartoony game, I will probably tone down the telegraphs a lot so they become barely visible, I would prefer a less goofy setting, I would even prefer voice acted and custscened sequences for all quests but this is a MMO.

As a MMO its meant to last and to be updated regularly. For that, a good developer team that is passionate about their game is crucial. If no voice acting means that its easier to introduce new content, then good. If cartoony goofy art style means the developers are more passionate about creating more stuff, then good.

What drew my attention when I first learned about Wildstar wasn't what the game looked like but getting to know Carbine and the kind of mentality that team follows to create a MMO. They know what is missing in the MMO genre, they are not afraid to grab the formula that worked before and improve on it. Actually improve on it, not just trying to meet the level of quality we've met before but actually surpassing it.

In my opinion they did it, the game plays great and for the first time I'm inclined to trust and like a developer team for the direction they give their game. Usually I play a MMO and say "Wow, this has great potential." and usually that MMO never reaches that potential. When I played Wildstar I felt "Wow, it's all here its hard to believe it." .

And the CREDD system? Making hardcore players being able to play for free if they manage it? It's a master's move. Hardcore players are the community's heart and also the game's minority of players. Considering the quality of the game they have in hands they could choose to go all out greedy sub fee model only and they don't. Even if people are not hardcore they can save up some in-game money for a month they want to skip real-money payment. For a genre that is known to suck a lot of money from its customers, its good to see a change even when they are so confident about their game's quality.

So far what I don't like about Wildstar is the lack of the human character customization, usually I don't give a crap about character creation but the human males diversity feels a bit short. Also the Esper flying lanterns heal animation, they clutter the screen in a battleground let alone in a 40-man raid.

Also the framerate could use improvements but I played in BETA and heard they are already optimizing the game. All in all, a great MMO with a great personality is coming our way, the genre was needing this.

Finally a PROPER MMO coming out. It took YEARS, now all it takes is 1 more monthish

The game has potential, just like SWTOR had potential but the difference between ESO and SWTOR , is the game engine. SWTOR was very limited, ESO isn't.

The only aspect of the game that can't be fixed in the future is that the 1-50 zones cannot ever be pvp enabled. You ll only see your faction at those zones. Forcing players to play as it was in a PVE server, shame on you!

I've played a lot of MMO's and Carbine is by far the team with the best mentality to develop a MMO.

When I first started to know about Wildstar and listen to the developers, even though the game itself lore-wise and artistically didn't draw my attention, I was left with the impression that these guys know what they're doing and what a MMO needs to succeed. It's hard to believe anything from the MMO industry nowadays so I thought, I ll believe it when I see and play it.

Then I got to play it. This is definately the game ex-WoW players have been waiting for and its launching with a full package instead of promises of future content. It's BEEFY MMO right off the bat. Add the amazing gameplay and developer team support to the amount of features the game is releasing with, it's a guaranteed success.

I don't think many people know Wildstar or how good the game actually is.

What's the point in giving game impressions if you just played 7 levels? Same with official reviews, they play 30 hours through the 1st zone and they make a review from it.

Play the game thoroughly, experience it, the good and the bad, the game has plenty of both.

Playing 7 levels is the tutorial area of the game, you don't even got any proper skills to use. Don't even have access to pvp yet.

My biggest complaint about TESO is that it forces me to experience a MMO like I was playing in a PVE server. I like questing but it forces so many quests down your throat with no chance of finding any pvp outside Cyrodiil through the entire 60 levels. MMO's are about choice, freedom to the player, ESO lacks that.

Doing quests outside Cyrodiil and doing them inside Cyrodiil its like a whole new game. You need to watch your every step, be always on alert and ready to face someone. Whether you kill or you die you got to admit that kind of tension is fun.

That kind of tension is robbed from you since you ll need to do the PVE quests for skill points, outside cyrodiil. The game is designed in such a way that not even with a future mega-patch you ll ever see any kind of pvp outside Cyrodiil, at least in the 1-50 zones.

I could forgive ALL the bugs, ALL the clunkiness of the combat system and input lag, ALL the lack of endgame content if they would simply give me the choice to level up like I would in a PVP server.

If you read the review it says he played 30 hours, that's the first zone only. How these guys review games without playing them thoroughly is beyond me.

30 hours in TESO is very little time in-game. The game is massive. There are a LOT of problems with ESO at the moment, bugs everywhere, but once those bugs are ironed out, this is a very good game.

Sure, even with all the bugs fixed, latency and such, the game is still missing content that a MMO could use:

There are no sandbox features, there are no Battlegrounds, there is no pvp outside Cyrodiil, you are forced to level through PVE if you want to reach level 50 in 2014, the dungeons are too easy, class skills need a lot of tweaking, combat is clunky and unresponsive.

There are a lot of problems with ESO but once they fix the bugs, it can be a good game. If they introduce good proper MMO features in the future, then it will be a very good game.

As of right now, it has average dungeon difficulty, gorgeous graphics and environments, great story and LOTS of it, runs very smoothly even with hundreds of players on screen, great crafting system, the PVP needs to work on responsiveness but its very cool also.

The game is very worth the buy and it can only get better from now on, just need patience until they fix the many bugs that riddle it.

You can only defend this game if you are a fan-boy with no sense of impartiality, sorry but its true. The review is an impartial one and it didn't even mentioned many of the bugs I've found in-game. ESO is completely riddled with bugs.

I'm level 36 and been playing it slowly, paying attention to the little details, dialogue, everything, been doing a lot of pvp aswell and even though I really like the way the game looks, when you start feeling immersed by it BAM you bump into an annoying bug.

I found bugs that affect and even block your gameplay in EVERY aspect of the game, every single aspect besides crafting. I never played such a buggy MMO.

I really like Elder Scrolls games (modded) and MMO's but even if all the bugs are fixed within a month the game still has a really long way to go:

_Dungeons are way too easy even though they are beautiful and some bosses have interesting mechanics.

_Combat is clunky, animations get stuck preventing further action, there's input lag, weapon swap is unresponsive and slow to react, sometimes hits don't connect even though you are in position and aimed to connect them. I mean, combat is awful . It can be very good with the dodge, block mechanic if its responsive some day but at this precise moment, its awful.

_PVP has a lot of down times since there's nothing happening in Cyrodiil unless you go look for it. No spontaneous events that can turn the tide of the battle in between keeps, nothing, just zergs or level 50 veterans in groups of 20 spamming AOE abilities erasing everything on its path.

_Class skills need a lot of tweaking, when you see sorcerers blinking to infinity with no cooldown with a Elder Scroll in hand going through the middle of legions of enemy players stunning, rooting him, you know something is wrong. When you see groups of people moving together killing anyone on their path by just sinergizing their classes and spamming 1 AOE ability, you know something is wrong.

_ A MMO that launches with no end-game content either has very poor direction or was clearly rushed. Considering the ridiculous amount of bugs that affect gameplay ( not esthetical, those I don't mind ) and their promise of a soon to release end-game zone, I say ESO was without a doubt rushed to be released.

I really want to like this game, that's why I bought it but the bad outweights the good at the moment. ESO has great potential, it runs really smooth, has great story and voice acting, looks amazing but if you buy it right now you ll be paying for a BETA at the most.

Anyone that says different clearly hasn't played enough. My advice: buy the game to support it now but wait a few months to actually play it unless you want a frustrating and immersive breaking by bugs experience. If people don't support the game now, it will surely fail like SWTOR did and become a money hunger scheme to make up for the damage which would be a huge shame.

The game is good, its just riddled with bugs. Never seen a more buggy game before, its bugged in every aspect I've encountered so far. The problem with these bugs is that they impact gameplay a lot and even block your progress.

I would wait a few months before buying ESO, unless you want to pay for a BETA. It will be a great game, just isn't at the moment.

SWTOR uses a modified alpha version of the hero engine, they totally screwed up there.

TESO isn't the greatest MMO out there but if there's a strong component of the game, its the engine. That alone brings a lot of potential to TESO. Sadly that potential is just that for now, potential. Cyrodiil needs more depth as does the endgame as a whole, the good news is that they aren't limited like SWTOR dev's are.

Love SWTOR but MMO's can t be rushed or they ll blow in your face!

I hope its lag free in the EU...probably not. Launches are usually laggy, not to mention EU servers have their datacente in the US for the first few months. Ouch

This game is amazing, it took me about a month of playing it extensively just to understand it the complexity of it but it was worth it. FREE PVP EVERYWHERE!

The downside which brought me to stop playing is that the PVE is pretty bad when I played it, and our "ultimate" abilities can be interrupted if someone stuns or pulls the target we are "ultimating" on. Also some invisible walls near trees. The fact that the game has no ending with you constantly leveling up with no kind of roof makes it a bit hard to new comers to join in.

That and the fact I had to play on US server while being in the EU made the pvp a bit laggy and unfair. Later came Age of Wulin the EU version but this west versions are very far behind the current game that is out in China.

Other than that this is a pretty epic game, a great sandbox with a real asian feel to it. Not anime kind of asian with big boobed girls wearing bikinis and fighting werewolves. Chinese kind of asian. It s a really good looking game believe or not.

werewolf life? What have you been smoking, this is no Skyrim. Werewolf means you ll have an ability to transform yourself in order to have a new set of abilities temporarily. Doesn't mean you ll be changing under the full moon or that you're stuck being a werewolf whether you want it or not until the sun comes up. The game is not very RPish, doesn t give you enough freedom for it so take that idea out of your head.

There is still a level cap, there is still an invisible wall. It's just called level 50 veteran rank 10 lol. Call it level 60 if you want. Since the story quest will be over by then you ll just be doing the generic region quests of other factions bumped up in difficulty. At least we hope it will be challenging as there are reports of the game being too easy.

Your endgame is questing like a maniac which you can do perfectly by yourself, you don't need a MMO with a sub fee for that do you?

You miss the point of what a MMO really is, a social experience with lots of player interactivity. Right now the only true player interactivity in ESO is Cyrodiil and crafting, that's it. The rest is like a single player game with a few co op features.

I m still gonna buy and try the game out, but I don t lie to myself about what the game truly is. The information is out there and you played the BETA probably, don t kid yourself.

The game is awesome, the questing is just like WoW with a jak and daxter feel to it since it plays out like a platformer too. Makes it a bit more interesting but let's face it, questing in ALL MMO's so far is a pain. It's just a means to an end. Playing a MMO to do quests might aswell shoot yourself in the foot.

Judging a MMO because its a quest hub after quest hub is being ignorant to the current state of the genre for many years. Might aswell hate all MMO's.

There's always ArcheAge around the corner which is a mystery how it will turn out in the west but at least it's coming and its a sandbox...sandparkish.

I like how you were urging just to let the world know you hate Wildstar, let it all go man, let it allllllll go, there there. Because WE CARE.

Most of my AvA experience was smooth like this also but as you can see, the pvp is gorgeous to look at but gameplay-wise it is pretty boring.

You're just standing there trying to avoid siege weapon hits while trying to hit someone with a single spell before he evaporates from all the people trying to hit him aswell.

I know this is low level pvp and you're pretty weak but still, we should be able to last longer in battle so you can have some more fighting action.

I already bought this game and looking forward to see endgame PVP, but as of right now, a casual just trying to pop in pvp for a quick fun is not gonna have much fun besides looking at all the stuff happening on screen.

I've been in a few battles where I was healed and managed to stay in the fight longer so I don't die within 2 hits, it makes a big difference. Specially if you're enemy is doing the same and you're not just facerolling them which is no fun.

Healers will be in high demand in PVP, same goes for tanks.

I don't know anything about the game ArcheAge but Trion said that housing is available for F2P players.

The thing about housing is that you have to pay taxes in order to keep "living" in them. These taxes can be paid with in-game currency or real money.

Considering that this is a sandbox with themepark mixed in, perfect combination for a MMO, there is a HUGE market for epeen stuff. This game could be a success just by selling vanity items only . Let's see how the ArcheAge devs and Trion devs get along in order to make this game NOT P2W, only time will tell.
