I have a few questions. Why are there so many people posting complaints about people posting negative things in a Thread titled " We're Angry about SOE " ?? also along the same line do the " I read thru x number of pages and i'm glad I won't read this thread again" people not even read the titles of the threads they are looking at ??? Personally I'm ambivalent towards SOE I read the SWG forums here for entertainment and in doing so I've noticed the passion most of the vets have towards the original game and also the passion a few of the current people have towards the present version . I think it really comes down to a game being fun but I see no problem with people warning others about a game, company , or ETC. that they feel has done them wrong . IMO the best thing for a person to do when starting or thinking of starting a new game is to read all you can about it, consider with a jaded eye the haters & Fanboi comments and then try it yourself. Because YOU are the only person that can truly say whether a game is for you or not. About SOE publishing this game and whether they have any say over the game itself we'll just have to wait and see this said we all know Money talks and BS walks , I mean Sigil is in this to make money and if someone makes a big enough offer then who knows sometimes Vision wins out over taking care of your family but that's never an easy decision. I mean really its not that hard , your family comes first, but its always hard to sell out your dreams . This is all just my opinions and personal thoughts and prolly means jack . |

Hmmmm.... I'm 40 years old and I would highly enjoy playing in Harry's world :) But the series I'd most like to see a game based on is The Heralds of Valdemar books by Mercedes Lackey !! other than that I'd like to see a good Vampire based mmorpg. I;ve been a DAOC player since release and unless something spectacular comes along will prolly subscribe to it till the day it dies and like one of the above posters I believe if EA listens to Mythic and lets them have control there are no limits to the games they can make . |

I also had trouble downloading the client, took me about 10 tries to finally get the fille to show up on my HD when it was done ( worked when i changed save location to desktop ). But wasn't taking me but 45 mins a try for it to DL so i just kept trying and let it run in the background while i did other stuff.

well i was one of the last before the 2 left and i didn't get my email till this morning i think the timestamp was like 2 or 3 am est so depending on where they are could be this evening before they get their mail

ok the article i linked to was in july 05 so before august when you started following ( did you read it ? ) and the NDA doesn't allow me to say anything more about my " book without a cover" simile . you can always add new features to a mmorpg example DAOC was a complete game from the start but every expansion they add new features . i think maybe i said sumthin the wrong way or you took sumthin the wrong way . Are you a pre-order beta member ? that might make a difference also . anyway i'll go back to being a forum reader and not a writer :)

Hmmmmm... actually i think i would get madder at someone calling me a " booger-eating moron" !! actually when i pre-ordered it was access to the MMO Center an online game site where one fee enabled you to play as many as their games as you wanted . Access to the beta boards and entry to the Beta of TC was just thrown in . oh and i forgot the Hat, T-shirt, & Poster which i got hat and poster LOL i don't think anyone got all 3 as promised. |

well here's a link to a press release posted on OGaming from last july where they promised 2 COMPLETE games by last fall now maybe i was just super hyped about a mmorpg gaming service being made here in Atlanta that i overlooked the ones saying the games were just going to be like books with just covers and no content but i remember more being said about the games being full featured from start and the ones people played more getting extra content and attention NOT that they were going to be partial games. and yes I'm one that broke my normal rule about pre-ordering a game without at least testing it first and pre-ordered back last july or so . |

I actually stayed on The Sierra Network even after it became ImagiNation , i only quit after 5 years because my puter would no longer handle it . i wish now i had kept TSoY and its sequel but i gave them away when i sold my first computer.

Just wondering if any readers of these forums remember this game and the old Sierra Network ?? It was online before the internet was accessible by everyone and WAY before EQ. You could play it on or offline like Diablo. Lol sorry just remincing(sp) and feeling old !! :) |

make sure you take a look at the reaver also ...very nice hybrid damage dealer with some nice spells plus your lifetaps shorten your down time. course i'm a little biased towards them got my 1st lvl 50 with one. not bad in rvr either.
