The biggest difference for me is that in Tera, when you reach the lower twentys, you need groups for the continuing quests. I'm not a pickup group fan. In GW2, I didn't need a group, I just joined in to whatever was going on and got credit for it,

I can see that GW2 will be a long playing game for me, although I will try others out occasionally, like the Secret World.

Diablo 3, top down hack and slash, not much more. Been there, done that.

Reckoning plays clunky because it's made for both PC and console. I hate that. I also think there should be jump. How can you feel immersive without jump? It it isn't a technical hurdle, it should be added. duh

Someday perhaps we will again get a really good single player rpg that has all the features we enjoy.

One thing though that kept me from returning to games after new content was added, was that my characters were stolen. After you've spent a long time in leveling up a character, you don't want to return to be a newbie. This has happened in almost every major MMO. This is one area I think games are looking at, time will tell.

Salem will be a niche game for those who like this setup.

Actually, the posters over- complaining about TOR and waiting for GW2 or Secret World, are the very ones who will be complaining about those games once they are playing them. They should stick to WoW so we don't have to tolerate them.

Does anyone remember the cantinas in SWG? They were alive! Dancing, playing music or listening. The cantinas in TOR don't pull you in. There were so many ways to feel part of the economy in that game, too. Sandbox games keep you playing.

My guild is entering together. I wonder how that will affect early access since we all ordered on different dates.

So, after a million words to read, I just have one thing to say: It's all in perception. As long as players think they are getting something for nothing, there will be F2P.

TERA is a sleeper, meaning it's a blast to play and not many have picked up on that yet.

I have no idea what games will be the top 3, or 10. I only know what appeals to me. The only one I'm looking for ward to is GW2, and possibly TERA. The others are more wait and see what develops.

I'm a soloer, and when I reached level 23, the quests stopped. I thoroughly enjoyed the game up unti then. But, I don't suppose the new plans include any content for me.

I assume you are referring to PvP sandbox, and you didn't read my post.
