If you were holding off on a new card or choosing for a build expecting the new series from either brand to be releasing in the next few months as was rumoured you might as well go ahead and buy from the current 6** or 7*** series now. Both companies have delayed release until quarter 4 of this year http://news.softpedia.com/news/Next-Gen-NVIDIA-and-AMD-GPUs-Delayed-to-Q4-2013-325786.shtml |

People should be glad. PvP has never been Cryptics strong point, it's always just tacked on as an afterthought and their attempts at balancing would be funny if they weren't so bad.

Originally posted by aslan132 Not always, i recall Funcom not allowing you to even say you were in beta for AoC. Thats going back a few years though and the new trend does seem to be that you can say you are but that's it. |

He means you've posted in the general Help Desk section and haven't stated which game you're talking about. 240ms ping is usually fine for MMO's it will only cause problems if it has FPS type combat. |

That's pretty much the same with most game forums, mods are rarely GM's but that's nto to say GM's cannot mod. The possibility for abuse being there doesn't mean anything as it's there for every single site on the web.

It would be like watching a turtle race, the mounts ain't exactly fast.

As long as the external is half decent then that will be fine. I keep all my games on a 2TB HDD other than one or two that i regularly play which are on the SSD, i barely even notice the difference in load times no matter which drive they are on. I couldn't do without the SSD for the OS though, once you've used one it's very hard to go back to using mechanical for it. There are a few items you could save money on but they are all quality parts that will work well. |

Site link http://launch2.universeprojects.com/ It looks promising although maybe overly ambitious. |

It shouldn't have any problems running either of those games or anything else on the market assuming res is ~1080p. I'd suggest you just keep the money by until you can afford it all in March though. Prices change, new ranges come out and there are always combi deals on mobo+cpu's, cases+power supplies etc. It might not be a bad idea to grab the memory early though as memory price is currently climbing and set to stay that way for a wee while. |

I can't speak for the population right now but it doesn't go free 2 play until next month, after that i imagine it will become much busier.

There was a thread with that link earlier today, new account with one post posted it. General consensus of the thread was it was fake, didn't click it myself.

Originally posted by destro521 If i had to choose between the two i'd probably go with the NZXT Switch as the Storm Stryker doesn't have removable cages, they are both decent cases though. Although i'm not a fan of NZXT using the same style on the outside of most of their cases the Switch doesnt look too bad. You might also want to take a look at Corsair's cases if you're looking for quality. If your choice is between those two boards and you want good built in audio then i'd stay away from the maximus as it has the supremeFX audio which is really poor. The ALC 898 on the other is pretty good, you'd be hard pressed to notice the difference between it and one of the lower end separate sound cards like the Xonar DG. |

Originally posted by grndzro I read this a lot yet i can barely notice a difference in speed between the two. Maybe a second faster in boot up and apps are as snappy on each, pretty much instant. SSD's kind make that benefit of Win8 irrelevant. If i had to choose i'd probably just go with win8 though as the driver issues are few and far between (creative have driver issues no matter the OS) and it can be made to look and function almost identically to Win7 with a little tweaking if you don't like the new layout. Going from one to the other is more of a sidegrade. |

A 7850 is the fastest you'll get for sub $200, significantly faster than the 650ti. I can vouch for the cooler on this HIS ICEQ as i have one, it's reasonably quiet and the GPU never goes over 60C no matter how high i overclock it (might be a wee bit higher if you live somewhere warmer than i do) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161406 others like Gigabyte get good feedback on hardware forums too. Just avoid XFX, loud coolers and abysmal support if you need to RMA.
