Well as you have played EQ2 since release, so you have been playing for almost 3 years, and LOTRO is out for almost 2 months now, So i think your perception of how many female players are around is little bit misguided due to the time you meet ingame people, on the other hand i doubt that 25% of the players of EQ2 is female, 10% would be a more realistic percentage might be even less, don't think it is much difference in LOTRO, in our kinship we have several female mmorpg players and most of them played other mmorpg also. What i mean is that or you didn't meet the female players in LOTRO or you just didn't notice it, doesn't mean they are not around.

Like most of you , i was hoping to have something that would replace Everquest, giving me the same immersion and fun i had there, got into Vanguard beta, in the beginning it was something new and exciting, but after a few levels you came to think where have i done this before, played more and came to the conclusion that nothing can replace Everquest, being scarred running to east commonlands, not knowing what to encounter. If ya new to MMORPG, Vanguard can give you that feeling, like most MMORPG that are out at the moment, but for us, who played MMORPG for 7 years are longer, we have seen it all, done it and loved/hated it, Will there ever a game that will be so much better/innovative, well i think we all know the answer to that, its NO, we are all more experienced and also older now, our perception of things has changed, Can we enjoy new MMORPG, of course we can , just dont expect it to be something like Everquest or UO, just have fun and keep playing, morale: its not the game that has grown old it's us that got older. if ya looking for a FtP game you might wanna try 9dragons, if you dont mind paying a monthly subscription Vanguard or wait for Age of Connan. |
