Seems like you didn't do your research either.
RF suffered not from a lack of income, but from a bad developer publisher relationship. |

I don't think it'll be significantly changing.
Honestly I don't even think playing the game will convince you otherwise that this game has the potential to be good, you are turned off by PvP games apparently, so why do you even bother trying to be convinced it will be good? Some people don't like PvP games, and that's fine. No need to knock a game just because it's not your taste. I don't like EVE because of the pure sci-fi setting and the fact that it revolves around space ship battles. Does that make it a bad game? No, it's just not my thing. |

Yes in RFO there are things that the developers have made extremely poor judgements and have shown to neglect versions other than the korean version, that is the developers fault and they definitely deserve some of the blame, HOWEVER, there are so many things that CM could do but they refuse to do, like hosting a damn event, ramping up their GM support, giving us information every now and then. |

Couldn't agree more with the topic title, this coming from the RF Online side of things. Their GM support is bad (I never saw instances of screenshots like that though, that's horrible), RFO hasn't had an event in a year pretty much (not counting the 1 "event" where they showed off some pretty weapons we won't get for a long time), hasn't given us any sort of news of a patch in 3 months, and continues to close topics that badmouth them. The general section of RF has half the front page littered with topics relating to CM and their incompetence, it's pretty pathetic.
Such a shame too, I used to respect them as a company to the highest degree until they started with this BS for the last year.
I think it's important that people read these topics in the general section, if we can get at least 1 person to not play a CM MMO game (feel free to play their offline games though, totally different division), then this topic was a success. |

That is kinda curious, ijji thrives on free to play games with optional item mall usage, I'd be curious to see what kind of direction Huxley is taken with this latest piece of info, I can't really take Huxley as serious with IJJI hosting it. |

Generally you don't have to worry about that because a publisher has to pay out of their ass to host a MMO, so you can be pretty safe in knowing that they want your money, not your personal information. |

I'll give you a preview: it sucked. It was boring to watch and confusing too. It wasn't very exciting, the WoW part that is. Quake 4 was pretty sweet though. (i watched the live stream when the competition was taking place) |

I've skimmed through a couple, and once you've read one, you've read them all. Seriously, all the MMO EULAs are copy cats of each other, maybe a word here or there might be different, but same rules and pretty much the same wording, just a different company and game. |

Are you talking about the free preview magazine this site is offering? If you read the note at the bottom, they said give them 4-6 weeks to ship out the first magazine. If you ordered from them, they probably say the same time. EVERY magazine company pretty much says to give them 4-6 weeks to mail out the first magazine if you are ordering for the first time, it's not fraud. |

RYL and Knight Online and games like that never had popularity in english speaking territories to begin with, so it's understandable that they never really needed to IP block. GE on the other hand will probably be more popular than those 2 and other Korean MMOs, so it won't be surprising to see a lot of players playing, and as such, create the potential for an IP block. Yes, I'm happy with IAH's service too right now, but considering we haven't even played K2's version yet, let's not continually knock it because their past services sucked. Like I said, at least they are trying to do things right for GE, give them a chance.

Why do I get the feeling that anyone in this topic who talks about IP blocks refuses to read my post?
For the last time, I doubt IAH will WILLINGLY do an IP block, they will be FORCED to IP Block by Hanbit and IMC. Gameloading, I'm surprised you of all people would go that route. You can't honestly tell me that SNW is going to be tremendously different that you would get a completely different experience? Fact remains the core features will remain the same, keys might be a little different, maybe customization, even quests perhaps, but it's still the same game, they are just polishing it even more. Just because K2 is making minor changes to the game doesn't warrant the fact that it should be considered a different game. Yes the 2 companies might end up going a different payment scheme, but that doesn't matter in the end if IP blocks are put in effect. Already you see K2 trying hard to make GE successful, Hanbit and IMC sees that, now you know they are going to take every step possible to ensure K2's success, and an IP block is one of those steps, regardless of whether you guys like the company or not. Like I said again, what's the point of 2 english versions with no IP block? |
