I had high hopes for AOC but the game stinks ..... just not enough depth for a MMORPG. If I was an investor I would have sold long ago. Unless Funcom produce a "MIRACLE" the stock will only get lower and lower. Good luck for all those that hold shares, it looked promising for a while.

I saw a game play video from E3. The game looks very similar to Freelancer. I bought Freelancer but never finished it because I could not complete one section of the game. I will have to reload and give it another try. An MMO based on Freelancer would be great. Its a shame that many old games (even with dated graphics) crap all over some of the new games released. I havent played a really good PC game for ages. They have all been shit.

With all EA's money and resources and years under development, Mythic should have more than 2 capital cities in WAR. That is just BORING !! I dont care how good the cities are (I am side A and you are side B, yeah right). In addition, Mythic had plenty of time to balance those 4 cut classes. What a cop out. I can't see WAR ending up as anything but a simplistic cookie cutter WOW clone. I was sitting on the fence about this game, but probably would have bought it. Certainly won't now. |

The whole risk verse reward is a common misconception. There is no more risk raiding than there is soloing. In reality I died alot more doing hard solo instances like splitpaw in EQ2 than raiding in WOW. Although I was never on the cutting edge. Raiding is just a time sink. I get the impression now that developers realise they need to cater to all playstyles. Lots of people like me just like to solo or play in small groups with friends. Any game that only has ecent rewards for raiders loses my cash very quickly.

I am one of the 700,000 active subscribers. Apart from the combat AOC is super shallow. I am a loot whore. If the game becomes more like Diablo 2 I will keep paying and playing. So far all I have found in 50 levels are green items (SUPER BORING). Chances are I will cancel this month. Just no reason to keep playing. I suggest the devs watch the Blizzard Developer videos to understand why people keep paying to play games.

AOC just needs more content. Anybody that is proud of playing WOW is a serious loser. Blizzard designed the game for 10 year olds. |

In my personal opinion Vista sux big time. Since changing to Vista (new laptop and desktop) I can no longer play Vanguard, EQ2 and Mythos. Vista is the worst OS ever. |

Avery, the bit about you meeting your wife was very sweet. Sounds like a great story. Most women I meet think I am nuts when i talk about MMO's and the latest computer hardware., so I normally don't mention it. Anyway, AOC seems awesome from what I have seen from vids so far. You can't get caught in the MMO new game hype because you generally come away dissappointed - but fingers crossed on this one.

The game sounds great from reading the FAQ. Everything I am looking for in a MMO. However, after following many MMO's I remain very sceptical the Devs can deliver a game with all these features. |

Cant wait to play this game. My pick of the new MMORPG crop so far. Hopefully what EQ2 should have been. Be interesting to see what beta testers think when NDA gets lifted.
