Cryptic sold their half of CoX to NCSoft. They no longer have anything to do with the City games (though a bunch of their people who were responsible for the game moved over to the NCSoft division that continues to run CoX). Champions Online is simply a developer looking to make a new title in a rather untapped area of the MMO genre that they happen to have experience in. |

Originally posted by Jerid13 Actually, Cryptic sold their half of CoX to NCSoft and parted ways with them, which means Champions is being developed as a competing entity, and NCSoft is probably going to try very hard to keep CoX viable. Whether they succeed remains to be seen. At the moment, Cryptic seems to be pushing for a lot of the ideas they never could pull off for CoX (more open archetypes and better customization for one). Of course, whether they can pull that off remains to be seen as well. |

EA doesn't instantly assume publishing rights to all of BioWare's currently in-development titles. All of BioWare's previous contracts are still valid, regardless of the purchase. If they had contracted with LA to make a KOTOR MMO and have LA publish it, LA will /still/ publish it, no matter who owns BioWare now. EA will make profit off it, since BioWare profits are now EA profits, but they can't overturn any previous publishing agreements simply because they own the company now. |

Originally posted by thepatriot Just as a note, Destroy All Humans is owned by Pandemic's then-publisher THQ. So, barring some kind of licensing deal, Pandemic will not be making any more Destroy All Humans games. |
