mining might be booring but production can be an expensive thing if ya sell on market. sometimes with t1 ships ya may actuly lose isk compared to selling the mins directly to market

cant say i care much about the t2 stuff. sure they are better in all kind of ways.

but ya can still manage with t1 stuff :)

and if one are to look at where the people are that got the bigggest chance of getting bpos for t2 items. the bigger alliances with over 2000  members got the biggest chance.

sure eve online is a very special game, the entire skill system makes it special.

some people enjoy fast phased games, like wow, swg, etc...

some enjoy a game like eve online, afther all eve online is the only of its kind on the market. that i know off.

i wouldnt say its newbie friendly. but thats from person to person. i scremed of frustration first time i played. and i didnt understand how to fly the ship. then i got back a few monthes later and learned. and now ive been playing over a year soon. and im enjoy it alot.

if ya want a car, can a regular person buy the most expensive car out there?
most likely not, can he drive it? maybe. but he need practice.

same with eve.

ya need practice. aka skills to fly something more difficult.
and u start with low funds and you grow in cash and ships as you advance.

i began in a little frigate, then bhougt a mining ship. mined some veld.

now im close to my first carrier, got a few ravens, soon a hulk...

and still i started with no skills and only a frigate...

this game is to be enjoyed. not to be hasted thrue.

4. the special thing with eve online is its entire system, the complicated buildup with skills, that you need experiance to actuly use something. before i can fly a carrier i have to actuly have flown a regular ship for about a year.

no mather how much isk someone might buy from ebay they still need to train the skills that still takes that long.
sure sometimes the training can be a bitch. but mostily its a great game that can only be enjoyed.

some enjoy wow, some enjoy other games.

i enjoy eve. and i AM a gamer :)
