Everquest 2 Vets Stay Away from EQ2 F2P For Now
The Tavern (General) « Everquest II 12/08/11 7:58:02 AM
You have to ReSub and all your chars will be unlocked and back to normal. If you want to play with no monthly fee and with out unlocking you are restricted to set class/race. They have a really fair system, it lets your try the game and unlock things you need for a small price, you dont need eveything. But if you feel you need everything then go ahead and sub. Free 2 Play is such a bad name for these business models. By now though you should know what it means. |

My son loves the pets, he also loves the housing. I myself enjoy the battle system. Its a great family game we call can play. |

General Discussion « Lord of the Rings Online 5/26/09 3:15:26 PM
Me and my wife started playing LOTRO and she choose to be an RK. I was wanting to know what would be the best class I could pick that would enable us to do the most content as a duo and why? Thanks for any info that you can provide. We joined the Brandywine server hope to see you in game cheers. |

I feel the same way as you, I all most made this same post yesterday except it would have been about all games that have come out resently. Its seems MMO have been in a backwards progress sence the frist ones, the best three mmos are UO, EQ, AC in my honest opinion. From that point on they have been simplefied down to a single player rpg with the option to group. They have ran away from crafting, they destroyed everything that help build a community, taken away all risk in death wether it be in pve or pvp. And I often wonder is this what people want, im only 27 am I really getting that old that im now a minorty in what I believe it takes to make a great mmo. |

Hello all, I was just worndering if there is any crafting videos where it shows the interface or what it will be like, cant seem to find any. Also looking for more details on it the main site is kinda vague on what it will be like.
I so hope that this game is like what they promise, its everything I want and more. i dont understand all the haters, I cant see why anyone would want something like this to fail, mabey they have all been burnt by the other failures and to afraid to believe. Cant wait till the 22nd, im itching for it like crazy, lol ive resubed 3 diffrent games to try and scrach it. Thanks for the info in advnce. |

Crafting question for the Vanguard Players
General Discussion « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 12/26/08 7:26:58 PM
Hey just a quick question or two. How long does it take to max a crafting pro, also how long does it take to be able to build a house. And the last question, can it be done without leveling adventuring??? |

Hello all, I was thing about playing UO again until I see how Darkfall turns out. I had quit UO just as thing where going carebear and started play EQ but I have never got the same felling I did from you UO, mostly the control I felt with char developement , and I loved the crafting. What I want to know is crafting stil useful in the game as it once was, I was able to use and sell all of the stuff I could make. Can I still do that? |

Hello. I was playing Wizard101 with my child and I love the idea of the combat system. Im a big fan of tcg and would love to play a game card battle mmo thats not so basic and that is more geared towards adults.
Is there anything out there like that or am I out of luck? |

Returning ... and gone again already
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 12/15/08 10:22:43 AM
I resubed also and have left. Other then crafting im not sure what makes this game boring. I could never find a class that I like seemed to be my issue. I wanted so much to love this game but could never find any depth. The only thing that keeps me coming back is the large battles but most poeple dont understand its not about killing the other person but also doing the objectives. |

But you see people are willing to accept a lil down time, people want to group, the way you communicate doesnt isnt an issue, I like voice chat myself but I dont mind typing. What you fail to understand is once you play the game and join the community you wont have to look for groups or join pugs, youll get 3 or 4 tells asking if you want to join in at a bunch of diffrent placses. People want instant gratification and can never understand once they put forth a lil effort and look for thoes first initial goups and make the friends then they will fell more apart of the world and community. Yes i know everyone is not willing to but alot are, and as someone has said MMO are more mainstream now and there are diffrent player bases. Which is where the whole MMO market has went worng. as i said before Developers have gotten this idea that it takes millions of customers to make a successful product and thats just a pipe dream. That will never happen again it will never even be close. I mean thats why we have so many games failing these days because there trying to make a game for everyone and certin elements break other parts of a game. Lets get past the greed and start making MMOs for the players. Look at the avarage Subscriber base of every MMO excluding wow and let that be your number for a successfull game, again give up the pipe dream. Its like a televison show, theres no one popular show, your not going to get all of the viewers but you can make a really good show thats going to bring in a certin type of viewer. Please give me a game with 2 or 3 jamed packed servers of people who love community and challange and Crafting. |

!! I know this is just a long rant with a lot of spelling and grammer mistakes, you dont have to read it I just felt like getting it off my chest, I might have cried whlie typing this also so I dont care.!! MMO's Make me so derpressed anymore, seems like evey 3 to 4 months i end up wasting $45 on re subbing account hoping things would have gotten better. And in about that same amount of time I come around here posting about my MMO blues. In the end i usually end up blaming it on games for not having a crafting system or a poorly designed one, but this time I relize its more then that. Its the community, where has it gone. Back in the UO and EQ days I had a Friends List that was so long I never had to worry about logging on and not finding a goup. I mean hell I would long on just to talk for an hour and even though these people lived in other countries, states or whatever, well it was like they where family. We had a community, we crafted together, we raided together, and told stories all night. Yeah I know your thinking join a guild, but it was more then that. All of these pople where not in my guild, back then you knew pople by there chars name. I Can still name all the enchanters I went to for the mana regen buff , and the health buff from the clerics or that druid you could always depend on for that port. Back then the games where really hard, and you had to have a group. Back then you couldnt just have one of every class and every crafting skill. You where what you choose and you depended on community for the rest. Then someone dediced that they didnt want to have to group in an MMO ( LOL, sounds like a really bad night when no one but me and the GM showed up for weekend game, cause we played to socialize so if no one showed it was pointless). And ya know they didnt create nothing new they just brought an RPG online and said hey you dont need to group but you can. So now I live in this world where have and play every class, and I have every damn one of thoes watered down crafting skills, no player housing , no community because i never know who anyone is cause I cant keep track of there other 8 chars they might be on. Plus im not really encourged to try cause the game is so damn easy that i might as well just five box my chars and say F you to the whole damn party system. Cause now all it takes to be hard core is to have no life and play all the time. For me hard core didnt mean that you had to have no social life, it was bing able to wake your butt up at 3am when you had to be at work at 8am to kill a boss that just spawned because it was your turn in the rotation. Hardcore was having the skill and the know how of doing that because you didnt want to wipe cause it took and hour just to buff and praying to god that one for your clerics didnt get out of rotation. I miss my community, I miss my groups, I miss feeling like I earned something, and when I really feel like a masochist I mis deleveling or someone stealing my ore. So please go back to your rpgs and let me have my mmo back. Give me a company that dont need 12 million people to fell that there game was successful, that dont open up 100 servers that they dont need and leave most of them barron. Make a game for 100000 people and then let us earn what we want and we will be there for a long time.
