Way to break your NDA agreement... Have you ever played World War II online - I'd be interested to know what you think of that game as well, as my intial thoughts after seeing the screenshots of Roma Victor were that the graphics are similar to that of WWII online, and the gameplay there definitely makes up for the lack of graphical splendour. ww2ol is actually a good mark... since roma victor is going for realism... your not gonna have bf2/cs/quake jumping and running around at 10x human speed kind of combat. its the most realistic combat i've ever see, on par with mount and blade but not the exact same system. and realistic means realistic, not that you can move like an elf or wolfman but you can click buttons to slash and to block. |

third person view is simply for looking at your character, you cannot fight or do anything else while in tpv.

oh oh ! kannoth let my men crucify him, we are getting rusty hehe.
all the idiots in the past who have came on here blabbing about how theres nothing in the game.. have obviously never played anything except two weeks before wow was released... ANYONE who has done a resonable amount of beta testing knows how its done. I wont say anything more since the blabbermouth who started this thread decided to blab hehe. |

Ya know, Roma Victor could be the MMO markets savior...
Capitoline Hill (General) « Roma Victor 4/19/06 5:19:50 PM
never happened.
I said it before and I will always say it.. rv is not for 90% of mmorpg players. I hope it grows slowly and does well, but it will never be an uber blockbuster like wow or swg , however like both of those games, maybe roma victor will bring in NEW people to the mmorpg community that never played them before. And no doubt if RV does well we will see more of its type. |

Verm or monthly subscription(the poll)

RV has proven to me that a system like verm can work. I chose verm. In this game no matter how you made it rich, your going to have advantages. And unless we have some bill gates running around no one is gonna become instantly super rich ingame, not only from just the sheer amount of real life money you'd have to spend, but also from the fact that there will most likely be limits to how much you can buy, since everything is connected and controlled like a real economy.

while I have always been in a guild of some sort except for some times in UO, I am also totally against "guild only" features.

Roma Victor: Interview with Nick Witcher
News Discussion « General Discussion 3/20/06 1:33:40 AM
I dont believe its a bad thing that this game is not for everyone. That is something i have been saying on these forums, and even said in my player preview of RV on this webiste.
In 30+ beta tests, and all the games ive followed.. these devs are the best. I've followed Darkfall since day one and they treat their fans like we dont exist. I fully support RB and their game. |

As I said in my preview for RV on this website, These are the best devs I've ever had the pleasure of working with. They have nothing to hide and are always honest with the testers. I know it sounds annoyingly fanboish, however It comes from the experience of 30 beta tests over the past 10 years. The main game I have always followed, was Darkfall... and they treat the community like we dont exist, compared to that the RV devs are on the opposite side of the scale.

I actually agree with that really... ive never pre ordered a mmorpg, and it would have to be something ive waited for for years and wanted badly to do so hehe. it is the common thing these days in the mmo industry though. |

nobody, not even the devs, can truely predict when a game will come out.
