ok...so basically you posted nothing that had any relevance to the topic at hand...

I think the last part of that is the important part in this.  Finishing.  MMO are not finished.  There is satisfaction in beating a game that can not be found in an MMO.  MMO's is always about being better.  For some that is pvp and skill, other items, other doing content....it all depends, but it is not about beating it is about being better.

These skills was inspired from many games, not just Blizzard's ones. Don't remember Raise Bone Dragon, Stone to Flesh or Desintegrate and many others in their games. And it will be played more like a mix of any modern MMORPG and Oblivion or Darkfall. This conception suits more to a crosshair targeting gameplay, like in any 3D action.

As for learning every skill in the game it should be balanced for taking like years to do so and every content pack could add new skills for players to master, so this "every player could learn every skill" could never be achieved. Take EVE Online for example, it never was a problem there. And even if it happens with proper balance players will tend to use skills they like more, so despite all the skills available to them every player will be unique by using his own favorite skill combos.

In Eve it is not a problem because while you can learn every skill you can not use every skill at all times.  Eve seems classes-less but it is not.  Your class is really the ship you are in  and that ship limits what skills you can use.  A game where every can do everything ends up with cookie cutter clones....AC1 anyone.

I have never played the newer versions of DnD...I stuck with 2nd Edition, but the holy trinity never mattered in our pen and paper games because we looked for way to outsmart or use our abilities so that it was not a hack and slash game.  This I do not think would translate well to online games.  Throwing lamp oil in a room and using fireball or using a lightning bolt to collaspe a ceiling, sneaking in and slitting throats, etc....those online games have trouble making it your intelligence and use of environment or creatures individual situations the factor in beating them.

you do not need to make WoW...you need a good brand name...proper finance...and a good idea...polish.  That idea does not have to be WoW.  If War had been original and taken their time they would have been good.

The problem here is WoW did set the standards.  Maybe not in gameplay and graphics, etc.  What they did was set what financers want out of a game.  They want the money.  No one is going to invest the money unless they think it is a blockbuster hit like WoW.  I am sure many of the investers have never even played the games.  They do not know crap about mechanics.  They know brand names, product distribution, profit margins, market analysis.  All that tells them make something like WoW.  If you want our millions make a WoW for us.

Not true. If that was the case we wouldnt' see Tabula Rasa, Mortal Online, Darkfall, EVE, ATITD, Puzzle Pirates, etc.

Some are failures, some are successful, but not all are WoW. I'm assuming these games were made with money.

Tabula Rasa was probably financed on the name of the person that was the creator.  MO and Darkfall have yet to show they had AAA finacial backing, EVE was started before WoW and was crappy and small at the start but reinvested their own cash.  Now that they are bigger and stable they can get new investment easier.  You F2P games are built on a model of get in get out fast and spend little for big returns.  Not excalty built on the scale of WoW or EQ.

Ok. If you want to try and make lots of money, make WoW.

Got it.

As usual you miss the point.  Way to go champ.

your problem as stated above is who is going to finance a game with that low of population standards..

By population density of Russia they would be more "Middle Eastern" or European.  Much of the Eastern parts of Russia is tundra and barren land.  Population is mostly found in the western and southern parts bordering the Black Sea area.  Those found in the far eastern part are closer akin to the Eskimos of Alaska breed with some asians and slavs than with pure asians.

According to the "new science" Russian is part of the Eurasia Continent.  Some reason they are now teaching the once two continents are one.

I have a hard time taking RP'er seriously that use words like "phew"

Main Entry: phew
Pronunciation: \a voiceless bilabial fricative usually followed by a voiceless (y)ü or ue sound; often read as ?f(y)ü\
Function: interjection
Date: 1604
1 —used to express relief or fatigue
2 —used to express disgust at or as if at an unpleasant odor

but the amount people are spending on resturants, bars, outside the home entertainment has dropped.  I think people just realize it is cheaper to stay home and play with your electronics with subs.

Are darkfall orcs like cats?

I hugged the internet....and now I have herpies

Don't buy items...it makes kids with more time than money feel bad because they are no longer at the apex of their games.

The fact that it is a video game ruins the immersion.

I thought Turbine sold the AC2 platform off...they might not beable to us it again.

Why remove repair...make armor and weaponsmithing useful....let them be able to repair at a fraction of the cost.

I thought community managers were basically the biggest fanbois of the game warning and banning all those that oppose their point of view.
