I just cant believe it ya know? I have NEVER posted one single negative or flaming comment in the 5 years I have had that account. I just cant believe that loyalty for 5 years can be crapped on so vagrantly... oh yeh nm. forgot about CU and NGE...

I was banned today from the SWG forums for the most outrageous reason.

pretty simple post discussing the addition of a V-wing ship in the pilots wheel. the poster basically wanted to know why its in the wheel now and when it will be added to the game.

Valara (community manager) posted this halfway through the thread

"While the V-wing certification was added to the Pilot wheel, it was a bit premature, and it may be removed soon to prevent confusion as the ship is not in game at the moment. Unfortunately that's all the information I can share about the V-wing for now.

On a related note, any posts or threads with images or movies from the game files will be removed from the forum and action may be taken against your forum account. Everyone is welcome to speculate and give feedback, but please keep those images out of it. Thank you!"

I simply posted back quoting Valaras response that I thought it was rediculous that a persons forum account could have action taken against it for posting a picture or talking about an item that is in the actual proffesion wheel. I did not post any images or flame. I just posted the fact that that comment was harsh.

after that I get this right on my homepage

I have found peace in SWGEmu. its not completely finished to say the least, but just last night, I was sitting on Dath, in the preCU darkness, hunting rancors and Nightsisters... as a master swordsman, master scout, TK novice, and I had an effin blast. It made me realize just how much I missed that feeling. NO, our game is not coming back... FROM SOE. thats why I worship the ground that the SWGEmu developers walk on =) God bless them all =)

wow those guys look like pure heaven sent deliciousness. couldnt find any word on a time frame for a playable version, but TBH the whole "adding new planets" aspect has me rooting for them as well. gotta love it =)

yes it was my first =) A friend had told me about it just after release and I hunted down a copy and held onto it for 1 week until the cable guy fiiinally came by to hook up my internet haha I had read the manual backwards and forwards by then so finally getting into game was the best. I believe I drank a bottle of vodka that night and just ran around trying to figure everything out. It was pretty late at night when I finally was able to log on so needless to say, there werent that many live peeps out and about. I started in Mos Entha as well so it was low pop too. I remember wandering around, killing some Ryll and worrts and walking up to npcs and wondering "now, how do I know what a real player will look like" lol I guess its not hard to tell that I was an mmo newb =)

I finally saw a blue dot on my radar, something of which Id never seen before, and headed in that direction which lead me to the entha med center. there, sitting on the ground, was a lovely blue twillek by the name of Serinde =) Feeling that maybe I had actually found a real live person (yes i was excited.... remember... vodka ) I asked the question ... "are you a real person?" hahahahahah needless to say, she got a real kick outa that. she showed me around the game a bit. helped me find a vendor that held my first purchase, a full set of chiten armor =) aaaah those days. we ended up keeping in touch and joining the same guild. from then on until CU we had soooo much fun together. I do miss it deeply =( /sigh

Heres what I would like to see (mainly from exp with pre nge swg hehe):

personal vehicles would give players a much needed break from the walking grind. They should be fairly inexpensive (for low model rides) and travel at decent speeds. If ya got the cash for it, get a super fast ride. Recharging of some sort should apply as well. If its sci-fi then recharging stations or the like. If its fantasy, stables and the like. heres the kicker, when you get out of your vehicle/mount, you default walk. You can run for a bit but there should be a timer for the running before you tire based on your stats and what your wearing. armor of course will now properly hinder your movement when walking/running. there could be a sprint option that will give you a quick boost for an amount of time, however, the boost will hinder you and leave you imobilized for a time depending on how long you have sprinted for. this could be great in a combat situation for escaping a foe but it could also be good when runnin down a target to have less armor and such so that you will catch up to them and they will be imobilized from sprinting and have no option left but to beg for mercy =). this would be a great bounty hunter style thingy me thinks.

I think this system, coupled with a great personal and public transportation system would really add some realism to games without sacrificing players precious time. I would hate to be back in swg before mounts where introduced. that was some serious traveling. but when mounts and then player owned vehicles was introduced.... well that was just freakin sweet. The ability to trash someones ride and knock them off of it was great too. stopped skirters dead in their tracks like the cowards they were. I wouldve like to have seen some damage to the person that got blown off their ride though. I mean, sheeeesh. Your speeder bike blows up underneath your crotch and you stroll off like nothing happened? no way jose.
