Cross server BGs is when the game started to die for me.  Before that people had a reputation on the server.  Most people could answer who has the best pvp guild.  We had rivals between ally and horde, it was fun.

I dont play anymore and actually deleted my toons back when I quit.  I was mad that I burned through all the Cata content in 30 days. 

I am staying for a while.  I really am enjoying this game!!!  I love the lore, find the quests fun, and the world seems alive and fun to explore.

AO doesnt spoon feed you.  It is a complicated game, but very fun once you learn the ropes.

There are alot of players that dislike wow for whatever reason, and I am one of them.  So for me the marketing strategy gets my attention.  I think its funny as hell that you take offense to it!!!

Rifts graphics are mediocre, definitely not great.

I played it through most of the beta events.  To me it was nothing different then whats already out there.  Great game if you love WoW, but not for me.

True, AO is old, but I still love it.  I have a froob account and a paid account with all the xpacs.  I go back and forth between them from time to time but I havnt played steady since around 05.

I played this game when it first came out.  I really liked it back then, but since then something has changed.  I  have recently tried to get back into it, but to my surprise I cannot even log into the game.

It asks me for a secondary password.  I have never created a secondary password, nor do I even know what one is.  So I thought "ok, lets submit a ticket".  It has been 4 days and I have not heard back from anyone at the company.  The official forums are also full of the same posts with no reply from the company.

Its sad that a game with such potential can fail just a few years later.

Still very much would love a Key!!!!

Howdy guys!  I have been searching for a buddy key for this game.  My friends are playing, but they have already given out their keys.   Payday is at the end of the month, and I will be buying the game anyway.  I just would like to get a head start into it before I slap down the cash.  My only question is, Hero or Villian???

Been a huge fan of AO since 2002.  Best skill system and unique character classes. Cant wait for the new engine "AO 2"

I remember spending days doing math to try and figure out how to twink on the armor i wanted at my lvl.  First you had to figure out what imps you needed, then what implant stepping was required, then the buffs required inbetween just to squeeze on that gear.  My desk would be full of paper with calculations. 

It had been about a year so I decided to reactivate my account.  Then I got slapped in the face with the main reason why I have quit this game so many times before.  Their customer support is basically non existent.   Three days after I updated my subscription I still cannot log in the game. "Account Frozen" hits me in the face, even though my account status is open and playable.  The CC transaction has cleared my bank.  Where is funcom in all of this?  My ticket has not been touched in the past 2 days.  

I guess you can improve game stability, put out a new xpac, but when it comes to supporting your paying customers, funcom falls short.

Replacing one addiction with another does work.  Ive done it before with major success.  Unfortunately there isnt any other MMO ive found more addiction then WoW.

I think all MMOs are way more fun with friends, but soloing I always enjoyed Aion and Vanguard.  I was never what was known as a "vanboy", but there was something about vanguard that I really liked.  

I wanted to give this game a shot because I like to play all F2P games at least once. I logged in yesterday and played fine for about an hour.  I tried to log in today and it said my pass or username was wrong.  So I logged into the website, worked fine.  But for some reason now I cant log into the game.  I contacted support... im not holding my breath.

Any suggestions?  Something I could be overlooking?

I dont play anymore, I shook the hook free.  Im not going to bash the game.  I think the game could be alot better then it is.   I did have fun when I played, I do miss the combat system.  I find myself now when playing other MMOS trying to fight like I did in AOC...

hah  I never looked at it in that light before.  I stil like the game.  but ive never hit the keyboard as much as in this game!  haha stupid people reallllllly drive me insane!!!

all through beta and now live ive had no problems at all with this game.  runs smooth, no crashes, no lag.   its suprising for me to read this thread.  i had no ideas anyone had issues. 

my buddy has an old POS machine, and he plays it without any problems.
