Suzie you covered most of my big complaints but there one that really bugs me and many MMO's have this issue. Creating a mature world and adding player items that just don't fit the world that they created. In WoW it normally is the pets, here you are in a fantasy setting and someone whips out a mech (Thor) that starts shooting up the place or you are walking down the rather war torn battle fields and out runs a heavily armored Orc who looks like he just finished sacking a near by village with his ballon trailing behind him.

Then there is AION, I was looking forward to this game as it's setting provided for some nice RP and ... well just look.

Let us not forget "Happy Feet"

Just fits the world perfectly....

Try... they said they would try to have open beta before Christmas but it could easily be 2012, they also said they didn't have a date to commit to. Basically people heard what they wanted to hear and got all excited over nothing.

While I am looking forward to Skyrim I am actually thinking about waiting awhile before playing as Bethsoft (while one of my favorite companies) has a track record of releasing unstable games and taking a few weeks or months to iron it out. Maybe this time around I will get a console version first and play that while the PC version gets it's patches... not sure but one thing is for sure it would be hard for me to wait longer than a day after release. ;-p

Though saying if a games key feature were absent it would "fail" is rather funny, kinda like saying if WoW didn't have raiding, SWTOR didn't have story and voice over or if Guild Wars 2 didn't have dynamic events that it would "fail". Talk about stating the obvious though TSW will require a bit more brain power I think then say Clue Online. :-)

As stated if you don't like the focus of a game don't play it as you clearly are not that games target audiance, if someone hated raiding and minigames the last game they should play would be WoW.

Slightly off topic, I expect and accept that the addition of the Pandaren is shocking much like the discovery of the Eastern culture was shocking to those of the Western culture (I am sure there were people from both sides saying the other did not belong in "their" world). If anything this shock just might add to the game from an role-playing perspective.

Hmm... master of pointing out the obvious, sure. Savior of the MMO, hardly anyone who allows themselves to be influenced by the companies they complain about is no savior... however. Fallen Hero, yup he was once great and is now trying to become what he once was.

Fact is people are just tired of blizzard not having any sense of the game they have created an empire on. I assuming big here, but they wanted it more complex and darker? yeah not sure on that hehe pandas seem fine though in truth.

 

None of this matters to me i have moved on years ago. but my kids are playing now, and even though i had fun zinging WOW players about pandas. i really hope blizz continues to make the game more geared for 5 year old and up. not being sarcastic or making fun of people. but it needs to go fully free to play and my pocket book would thank them since my kids are sharing an account right now. it's becoming a nice family game. they just need to get rid of the jerks and put more filters in for language.

Weak assumption, I never said the game is not "childish" because it is, it always has been. The point is this does not make it "more" childish it just continues the theme. Simply put SNAFU.

My personal opinion is that those who want the Warcraft Universe to be more "mature" are setting themselves up for disappointment as the game never took itself seriously outside of the books. I believe these people are just using the Pandaren as something to focus their angst on.

A part of me is excited, another part reminds me that it will most likely not live up to any of my expectations. Still Dragonriders of Pern! ;-P

OP has done quite a bit more than simple swearing to get this ban, as evidenced from several of his posts here, for the average person who understands proper behavior in "polite" society, there's no issue.

and Garrosh calls her a "bitch" what's your point? Sly hates Garrosh (and he hates her) and would gladdly rip his heart out if she could get away with it, if she disagrees with the child's way of thinking she will go against him. The two never get along unlike Thrall, Garrosh does not have her respect (or that of most of the Hoard). However the child is learning but I don't know if it's quick enough.

if what you said would be true, she would have been removed along with varimatras after the incedent, but this was not the case.

the plague sly authorized was aimed against the lichking and the scourge, she has been betrayed by the RAS.

and in the worgan intro quests she authoizes...no, demands...it's use again to take Gilneas and wipe out all the living beigns there to gain free access to it's resources.

Killing a group of people to gain a strategic foothold in a growing war is very different from wanting to kill off all life on Azeroth.

Maybe you are right and they are not bad afterall.

But the idea of an undead priest or monk  to me doesn´t fit very well sorry.

It doesn't fit well if you make the assumption that being undead makes you evil and devoid of morals, but their not. They remember who they were before they died and some try to continue that life while those living around them judge them as "evil" and try to end them permanently.

However lets look the individual, you remember who you were before you died. You were recently released by the scourge and are now trying to find a meaning to hold on to. This path sounds a lot like a monk (eastern), monks are not religious or even spiritual they are people seeking to better understand themselves and from that the world.

Heck if a Buddhist saw an undead as they are in WoW they would not reject them but help them to understand this new path in their lives. It is not really all that silly when stop and think about it, they were living and all that really change is the living part they still have their own morals and beliefs. So lore wise it works out nicely, hell as someone who doesn't like the undead I just might play one as a monk now that I think about the reasons for being one. ;-p

But in the end who the hell cares, it's a flipp'n game with dragons, gnomes, spaceships with alien gods and a hole in the middle of the world and the fact that an undead can be a monk doesn't seem to fit? 0.o

Or maybe its the asian market that love things like this .

Whoever it is . Its not the kids around the age of 12 .

I am thinking they are "pandering" to fans who wanted the Pandaren in game since release, but that's just me.

Slightly off topic I am personally excited about both, I have enjoyed the almost cult like following the Pandaren had with warcraft and into world of warcraft and as  collector I am looking forward to collecting and battling pets. Personally I just think all this (the people asking why me or raging) is much ado about nothing.
