I just realized, I don't like MMORPGs any more!
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 3/10/13 12:49:52 PM
MMO's are still good, but when I compare them to games like Skyrim, dishonored, Dragon age, Baldurs Gate SOM, The Witcher 1 and 2, Mass effect, Dead space, Gothic 1 and 2, etc they just do not hold a candle. I think most people today play MMO's for the social aspect because the game play is a C or a B at best, why play those when you can play an A game

You can play 5 new MMOs a month now

Originally posted by sanshi44 It is all opinion, IMO SWTOR, TSW and Vanguard blow away Everquest, Ao and Uo. SWG you say, well it was a decent game, with very good harvesing and crafting, but good harvesting and crafting do not hold a person for very long when combat sucks and there is lag. Because of the poor combat SWG turned into a crafting game and giant chatroom at the cantina |

This is the Golden Age of MMO's, especially free MMO's. Instead of paying 45 a mo to play 3 mmo's you now have it for free, it does not get any better than that My 3 free MMO's I am playing now----SWTOR, TSW and Vanguard

Originally posted by Mdpats Yes this seems to be inherant in the game, I have spoken to people who have SSD hard drives and it has improved performance for them. But yes when I go into a new area or dungeons sometime I do get freezing or lag for awhile |

Originally posted by miguksaram Agreed! If you do carefull research companies like Ava Direct and Digital Storm have much higher ratings than other companies-stats do not lie. That being said if you are confident in your abilities to put together a computer yourself go for it |

You have made a nice little comparison. I do however disagree with you on cyberpower rep which is awful. Check out AVA Direct which has an excellent rep. I compared parts at new egg and tiger and compared those to Ava and Ava was about $150 more on a $1400 system. I decided to go with Ava based on their rep and price and I just did not want to take the time and effort to do it myself and yes I was afraid I would mess it up etc. It also came with a 3 yr warrentee. It arrived in a big box surrounded by air foam, the interior of the comp was very neat and again had foam protecting the parts. I have had this for about 5 months and it works perfectly. So if you ar going to buy a pre built do not get if from cyber or Ibuy or any of those crap houses do a bit of research

I played AC2 when it came out and still like it, I just find it silly that they are charging 12.95 for such an old game, about half that would be right

LOL, The game is certainly NOT Dyeing, the super hard core of course will rip through the content but for the millions of us who play mmo's along with our single player games it is fine

1. Shadowbane- great mix of suspense and sandbox 2. SWTOR-great story 3. Vanguard-great traditional mmo, with diplomacy 4. Lotro-great lore, great story 5. AC2- not really worth the current $12.95 but in its day great sandbox 5a. AOC-worth it for tortage and combat |

Originally posted by jtcgs It is amazing "The Realm" is still going, it is a fun little mmo with people who have been playing for years |

Originally posted by FromHell there were restrictions on chat, on guild joining, character restrictions and others . It was much worse than SWTOR, that being said it sounds like they have made adjustments so i may try again |
