 I think its golden only in the sheer number available.....I think the golden age of MMOs was actually at some point before WoW released or when WoW released.

Agree with theocritus, As for eddirg50 i would rather pay $45 a month on 3 good  games than play 30 rubbish games for free.

   It is all opinion, IMO SWTOR, TSW and Vanguard blow away Everquest, Ao and Uo. SWG you say, well it was a decent game, with very good harvesing and crafting, but good harvesting and crafting do not hold a person for very long when combat sucks and there is lag. Because of the poor combat SWG turned into a crafting game and giant chatroom at the cantina

   Yes this seems to be inherant in the game, I have spoken to people who have SSD hard drives and it has improved performance for them.  But yes when I go into a new area or dungeons sometime I do get freezing or lag for awhile

I've had many friends I've recommended to CyberpowerPC, who have gotten great deals and great customer support. 

CyberpowerPC and Ibuypower (different companies but certainly appear to be under the same ownership) do indeed at least offer one of the most comprehensive prebuilt part selections available but their reputation preceeds them with regards to their attention to detail and customer service (or rather lack thereof in this case).  All companies that manage to keep their heads above water will have customers that don't experience the well documented negative sides of said company.  And yes someone who has a negative experience is much more likely to be vocal about it than someone who's experience was pleasant (as that is usually what we expect).  As someone who appears to understand computers and the general markup charged by online retailers I would think you can also appreciate just how do companies like these offer such stellar deals over their competition?  My advice to anyone seeking to purchase a prebuilt is compare various customer reviews from numerous sites before pushing "buy".

   Agreed!  If you do carefull research companies like Ava Direct and Digital Storm have much higher ratings than other companies-stats do not lie.  That being said if you are confident in your abilities to put together a computer yourself go for it

When you reach 50 you can either level an alternative character, or you can participate in the end game. Of course there's no reason why you can't do both!

If you want to participate in the end game, the most important thing you must do is start running the hard level instances. There are two reasons to do this. First, and most important, it will help you gear up for the operations (the eight man instances). Second, and closely related to the first, if you use the group finder once a day you can earn black hole commendations which help you gear up with black hole gear. This gear will qualify you for most of the operations.

The second most important thing to do when you reach 50 is to earn credits to fund your activities. The primary way you do this is to run daily missions. Some of them pay as high as 16k credits! You will find these missions on Ilum, the Black Hole, and Belsavis.

Another way to earn credits is to do the daily space missions. These don't pay as well as the dailies, but hey, a credit is a credit.

Another way you can earn credits is to run heroics. These can be run once a day.

At 50 you have a choice to make. You can stay with the guild as a teacher, or you can be placed in a raiding guild (allowing you to run operations). The guild will not run operations so if you want to participate in that part of the end game you will need to be a part of a raiding guild.

There are two kinds of raiding guilds. The first kind is the hard core raiding guilds. These usually raid three or four times a week and require you to attend them all. The second kind is a casual raiding guild. These may also run three or four times a week, but attendance is not required.

Whether you stay or not, another important end game activity is to help other players. Social interaction is an important part of an MMO (Massive Multilayer Game). You can help others level, run heroics, and gear up for operations by running instances with them. You can also just be available for answering questions leveling characters ask.

Another important aspect of the end game at 50 is crafting. You can make a lot of credits on the GTN by selling your crafted items. You can also help people in the guild by making items for them.

Something else you can do at 50 is to search for all the datacroms in the game. If you didn't get them as you leveled, this can be very satisfying. The datacroms increase your base stats and make you a better character. BW has made finding the datacroms challenging and fun. Finally, when you reach 50 you can pvp. I know, you don't think you're any good at it; but, the only way to get better is to do it. PVP requires special gear so will want to buy the recruit set first (about 130k), and then earn the next two tiers by pvping.

Just about everything else had crap PvE grinding for gear to replace skill in PvP in their themepark carrot on a stick format to cover its bland gameplay that has become modern MMOs.

   It is amazing "The Realm" is still going, it is a fun little mmo with people who have been playing for years

how on earth was the F2P horrendous?? 1-80 is completely free, they even opened up all 12 classes by now, there is no reduced XP gain or cash shop button in your face like in SWTOR.

Paying for the expansion and adventure packs is optional. Alternate advancement and offline level gain are turned off. So what?

This is the nicest F2P system and most generous triple A F2P MMO on the market.

When I read horrendous F2P there is only one name: SWTOR:  pay  for ability bars, pay for pvp warzones, pay for REGULAR xp gain, pay for flashpoints, get an ingame event like lifeday which only takes place on the cash shop, get a "pay for cartel coins icon" every three seconds in every damn screen.

there were restrictions on chat, on guild joining, character restrictions and others . It was much worse than SWTOR, that being said it sounds like they have made adjustments so i may try again
