Runescape: Floating Castles and Battleground Editors

LOL. seriously? I haven't seen a worse game than Runescape yet. |

Demons are not the strongest non-boss monsters. Undead Dragons, Juggernauts and Hellhounds are all much stronger. But, all of them including Demons are premium only. The strongest monster in the free area is Warlock, who is very easy and can be killed by even a level 100 with not much effort. |

WAR - a game for the brain dead?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 12/23/08 3:11:36 PM
You are expecting too much from a game and also you are expecting too much from players. If you want strategy, I suggest you to show some leadership and do the planning yourself. Don't call others to not have a strategy, when you yourself don't have. Strategy is something that needs to be invented by you, the player and not the game developer Mythic. |

Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning: A Look at the Witch Elf
News Discussion « General Discussion 11/18/08 9:49:09 AM
When I play order side, there are two classes that you need to watch out for: 1. Witch Elf 2. The black orc And from those 2, Witch Elf is the one everyone hates, because 1 vs 1, everyone knows you cannot beat a Witch Elf. Also, if a WE targets you, if you don't get assistance, you are sure going to die. Also, the black orc is a thick lumpsum of meat, which you can never seem to make a dent on. |

I don't know how many of you are currently playing WAR. I am sure some of you have never even played the game. First of all, On Oct 10th Mythic gave a press statement that they have currently 750k subs. So, all of you guys who thought they only reached around 300k subs are totally wrong. Second, as I still play the game, I have not seen a population drop. Rather, I have seen a population spread from high pop servers to low pop servers. When I started playing, I started my char on a low pop server. The pop of my server has dramatically increased and now it has "High" pop ratings on peak times. That says something. And when I played yesterday, I had less than one minute wait times to go in scenarios. So, I seriously doubt that pop numbers have fallen sharply. In my opinion pop numbers are still above 500k. LoTR doesn't have over 300k subs. It has merely 150k-200k subs and that is still good for a P2P game. Only few MMORPGs can claim subs above 100k. The 11 million subs of WoW is actually a different story. Only 3 million of that are western subs. The way they count eastern subs (chinese, korean) etc is different. In China and Korea they use monthly cards to play, so they are not persistent subs. WAR still has not gone to China, Korea. WAR cannot beat WoW. That is impossible. But, I think in long term WAR will be the MMORPG with the second highest western subscriber numbers. And that can be achieved by merely 250k+ |

I love Public Quests and I hate LFG. If you think I am retard, it is your opinion. |

Yes, on World PvP, destruction has an edge, but for most (90%) RvR scenarios, Order wins. |

As someone else said, if you don't have fun, may be this is not the game for you. For me, the game is moving too quickly to my liking, I am actually leveling faster than I want. One RvR scenario at level 10 gets 10% exp into a level and I am already level 12 and I cannot do RvR scenarios for Tier 1 anymore :( And most people are still doing Tier 1 quests and I like to be with where most people are. T2 areas seems empty compared to T1 zones.

First Impressions from an old-timer.

I don't know, I haven't played in Dwarf country. But, in empire vs chaos, where I play as a Warrior Priest, I only have to click on the RvR scenario button and I am on a scenario with 12+ players on each team and it is loads of fun. Not only that, if I goto the contested RvR area, there are always 10-20 players from each side constantly fighting. So, may be it is your server, or may be it is a dwarf thing. Also, I have completed all the PQs in my area, at times over 10 people participating in the final stages. I cannot believe how come you can't find anyone to do the later stages. Again, may be it is specific to dwarf areas as I have heard it is the least favourite race. Try rolling up a human. |

AoC Official Forums: Why Can't I Use Them?! + Merge Topic
General Discussion « Age of Conan 5/18/08 4:56:43 PM
This sucks. The first thing I do when a new game is about to launch is to get into the official forums and check the threads to see whether there are any issues with the game. The first set of threads surely give you a good idea about the quality of the game. |

The ONLY reason people think runescape is bad

Ok, so you want definitions, here it is: A massively multiplayer online game (MMOG) is a type of computer game that enables hundreds or thousands of players to simultaneously interact in a game world they are connected to via the Internet. This kind of game is played in an online, multiplayer-only persistent world. As you can see the most important two things are: 1. simultaneously interact - Which Fury and GW fails at 2. persistent - of course both of them support this. Therefore, by definition both GW and Fury are not MMOs. |

Definitely doesn't sound like an MMO. Why would MMORPG review it? Do they get paid by advertisements? |

The graphics of runescape is so bad, it gave me nightmares the day I tried it. Well seriously, people who play runescape have never played any other MMORPGs, otherwise they wouldn't play runescape. |

100,000s of people tend to disagree with your summary. The only advice I can give you is this. Tibia is different. It is different than any other MMORPG you have played before. If you don't like change, then Tibia might not be the game for you. |
