I love Public Quests and I hate LFG. If you think I am retard, it is your opinion.

Yes, on World PvP, destruction has an edge, but for most (90%) RvR scenarios, Order wins.

As someone else said, if you don't have fun, may be this is not the game for you.

For me, the game is moving too quickly to my liking, I am actually leveling faster than I want. One RvR scenario at level 10 gets 10% exp into a level and I am already level 12 and I cannot do RvR scenarios for Tier 1 anymore :(

And most people are still doing Tier 1 quests and I like to be with where most people are. T2 areas seems empty compared to T1 zones.

I don't know, I haven't played in Dwarf country. But, in empire vs chaos, where I play as a Warrior Priest, I only have to click on the RvR scenario button and I am on a scenario with 12+ players on each team and it is loads of fun. Not only that, if I goto the contested RvR area, there are always 10-20 players from each side constantly fighting. So, may be it is your server, or may be it is a dwarf thing.

Also, I have completed all the PQs in my area, at times over 10 people participating in the final stages. I cannot believe how come you can't find anyone to do the later stages. Again, may be it is specific to dwarf areas as I have heard it is the least favourite race.

Try rolling up a human.

I split this up to address parts of the OPs post individually.  For parts A & B...

The plural of anecdote is anedotes - not data.

For everyone that has said that their system, which runs every other program in the known world perfectly, but wont run AoC... there are others with less spectacular gaming systems that are running it fine, on medium setting  etc.

There are many variables in who well a computer functions.  But FunCom has done actual research on what type of system can run AoC.  If some individual person's computer, which is 'better' than the recommended stats. wont run AoC, I suggest that it is likely a problem on their end.  (and with that, flames can begin... Now.)

C)  there are also plenty of people with average pcs that are reporting how well it runs on thier paticular system .

maybe this is down them willing to overlook how the game runs in populated areas .

again its down to what you find personally acceptable .

Ever consider that they might be telling the truth?  Ever look in the mirror and ... (OH!  Heaven forebid !)  consider that your system might be the weak part of the chain?  Not suggesting the exact cause or effect here, merely pointing out that their ANECDOTE cancels yours.

D)  if your having any kind of doubt about how well it will run on your pc the chances are you might be disapointed .

E)  my advice to you is wait untill theres a free trial and see how it runs on your system for yourself .

F)  conan looks to be a great game but it does nt run well on a lot of mid range systems .try before you buy .

D)  "Any kind of doubt", "chances are", "might be... " - In debates and philosophy these are called weasel words.  They add no data, no substance.  They back up their emotional nothingness with... you guessed it, nothing.  I see no evidence that your opinion is could possibly prove that people would not be able to run AoC with a computer that meets or exceeds recommended specs.

E)  My advice, if your computer meets or exceeds the recommended specs, is to buy the game and try it on your own computer.  It is only a few dollars and if you unsubscribed from another MMO for a month while trying this fun game it would be about 1/3 less in total cost.

F)  Conan runs great on systems worse than specs.  It also runs well on systems that are better than specs.  I trust that a software company will have done more research on exactly what systems would run a game than a few individuals in a non-controlled test.

AoC seems to be an incredably stabble, very bug free game (and it hasn't even gone gold yet).  If purchasing the Box for $50 and trying the game is such a burden to anyone's budget, they shouldn't be playing games anyhow.  Its fifty bucks, a few minutes worth of work, a few StarBucks coffees... sheesh.  It is money well spent.

Oh shutup. You seem to be a fanboi.

The review from the OP has immensely helped me. I was thinking whether my system would run AOC well and after reading the original post I am sure it wouldn't run it.

Thanks a bunch. You saved me 50 bucks

This sucks. The first thing I do when a new game is about to launch is to get into the official forums and check the threads to see whether there are any issues with the game. The first set of threads surely give you a good idea about the quality of the game.

True that. I think they have done a pretty big mistake. Very very big. When they realize that, it will be too late.

There are tons of other better games which are totally free. Why play this Runescape?

Ok, so you want definitions, here it is:

A massively multiplayer online game (MMOG) is a type of computer game that enables hundreds or thousands of players to simultaneously interact in a game world they are connected to via the Internet. This kind of game is played in an online, multiplayer-only persistent world.

As you can see the most important two things are:

1. simultaneously interact - Which Fury and GW fails at

2. persistent - of course both of them support this.

Therefore, by definition both GW and Fury are not MMOs.

Definitely doesn't sound like an MMO. Why would MMORPG review it?

Do they get paid by advertisements?

The graphics of runescape is so bad, it gave me nightmares the day I tried it.

Well seriously, people who play runescape have never played any other MMORPGs, otherwise they wouldn't play runescape.

You gotta be kidding me.....I'm guessing your being sarcastic.

At this point I wouldn't care who signed DF, I just want to play it!

What do you mean?

No sarcasm. I love Everquest 2. Look, it is the 2nd highest rated game in MMORPG.

100,000s of people tend to disagree with your summary.

The only advice I can give you is this. Tibia is different. It is different than any other MMORPG you have played before. If you don't like change, then Tibia might not be the game for you.

lol, wow man.  Why do you have to give reasons?  Why recommend something without any sort of comparative reasoning?  That should answer itself...I am very surprised you would even need to ask why you should give reasons when recommending something.  A recommendation without reasoning on a forum is pretty pointless as no one is just going to say "hey, this guy says do this, so I will!!!"  People look for explinations and reasons before they make their own decisions...not just listen to what someone thinks they should do!

Reasons are beyond your grasp...lol...I think on second read this reply was intended to be a joke.

Ok, tell me the difference between the following two statements:

1. EQ2 is better than LOTR

2. EQ2 has better graphics than LOTR because it uses a higher number of polygons for each graphic, and is well designed by an experienced art team with many years of experience

As for you the second statement gives a reason. But, think about it this way, what would you believe? The amount of trust given by the first statement is still the same as the second statement. If a person don't believe the first statement, it is highly unlikely he will believe the second. After all, it is me who tells you this, and unknown person who you have never met. If it was someone you knew and trust, then trustability of both statements would rise much higher.

That is why I said, there is no point of giving a reason.

What an utterly useless, worthless, point less and wrong post... no facts, no reasons, just the Plain Big Universal Truth from Someone Who Knows! Thank you, thank you I am burning my Lotro because now i BELIEVE that it is bad! Teach me more, please, oh please!!

Why do I have to give reasons? Like you will believe. It seems to me that you are a fanboi. Reasons are beyond your grasp. So, it is just a waste of my time to reason. I am only suggesting any new players to try out EQ2 or WoW before this one (at no cost), so they can make a better judgement on what suits best for them.

Nice review, but the problem is the typical review system in MMORPG should not be applied towards Tibia, or every game for a matter of fact. Who needs sound and ultra ubber graphics if the game play is one of the best?

In my books, Tibia scores 9/10, as is one of the best games available.

Two points:

1. You get hacked only if you share your account with someone else or downloaded a keylogger. That can happen in any game not only in Tibia. I have played Tibia for 5 years and never got hacked because I don't share.

2. Crafting should not be even in the rating system. Because not every player wishes to craft. May be only 10% of the player base on any given game actually crafts.
