I will take TCOS above all of these in an instant. AOC has a new combat system yeah right....its still lock on target and nothing different from the norm except a few added features but all in all its still the same auto click dice roll mmorpg combat system.

WAR offers the normal system but RVR/PVP is the name of the game..which is great but its nothing new. Anyone who says WAR is not similar to WOW is in denial..ok its not a bad thing but its fact.

TCOS has the most original and new combat system of any mmorpg to date...no lock on targeting..no stats on armor and a dark gritty European medieval world.

Bear in mind unlike you my source of info on this is not just from web sites and Evangelical christian newspapers. My source also includes the fact hat i live in the UK. And while its true that there is a lot of Muslims here they are hardly taking over as you put it.

Everyone has to answer to British criminal law no matter there culture or religion so its nothing new. If any group of immigrants was taking over(which they are not) it would be eastern europeans who are here in there 100s of thousands but you probably choose to ignore that .

Where does it say that islam has permission to destroy the uk ? i would like to see it if possible. Muslims have been coming here for 300 years . There have been muslims and blacks coming to britain since 193 AD  long before many white europeans immigrants ever set foot on this isle. Some of these people have ruled whole provinces in this country but you wont get taught any of that in british schools.

I agree, the combat system really is something different, the mix of fast twitch based actions and the strategy from the rolling UI makes this game look like a real contender for MMO of the year imo.

Yes, a good game will sell it self to some extent. WAR and AoC is really hyped. And while I personally like the RvR concept of WAR, that's pretty much it actually. As for AoC, for some reason I have gone from really looking forward to the game since announced, to not really care so much any longer.

 

But don't get me wrong, this game could be the greatest thing since sliced bread and I would still drop it the second I get the chance to step through a stargate in SGW

SGW is definitely a contender. I get the feeling that while the giants are busy hyping there game they cant hear the silent approach of  these two outsiders.

This rolling action bar allows you access to 30 abbilities while still allowing for FPS action. That rolling action bar combines action paced combat and startegy in one perfect little interface.

The Combat Bar.
It's huge make it smaller! Well, in the game it actually is a lot smaller and I could say how we intentionally blew it up for clarity, but the truth is that it is a bug when playing in hd (1280x720). Look closely and you'll also notice the sides of the graphic are cut off and not nicely rounded like they should be. It's a nice bug to have for the movie though, as it shows the combat bar large enough for anyone to see what's going on.

You had a valid point but i think this quote answers your question.

This game has so much going for it,its unreal. I know here on mmorpg they are avid supporters of anything american lol..Here we have a mmorpg that is unique but has very little support from pro war/aoc sites like this.

Yeah i can second that.People need to stop the gloom and doom as everything is going very nicely indeed.People say they want a top game and when E A Mythic do something to make sure it is a top game they go into the doom and gloom mode?

 

Me and you both are fortunate to know the juggernaut of a game coming early next year and no other game will even come close IMO.

Relax and take it easy because WAR is just round the corner.

  Let me explain the current situation.

 

Many players at this point are lost. WoW is not an option and all other MMO's currently out are not up to par of being playable or any sort of long period of time; I am talking months here. So we have all of our hopes and dreams placed into our "new" mmo of choice. Some pick WAR, others AOC, etc. We want a damn game to play that offers progression and a multiplayer environment but nothing is out right now.

So keeping that in mind here is the situation. It is the end of class and the teacher has forgotten to give out homework. You are counting the seconds until the bell rings and suddenly with 5 minutes to spare someone mentions tit and in your head you go "Son of a Bitch!".  On top of that class might be extended another 5minutes. Those minutes seem like hours. It isn't the end of the world but it is like getting kicked in the jubbblies.

Guess what? I have almost been waiting for 1year for a HALF DECENT PvP mmo to come out. I check this site every day and each week if not nightly my friends and I discuss the current mmo's, games coming out, and new information released. Any announcement that may have an affect on WARs release will irk me in such a way that if you asked me face to face you might walk away with a blade in your face. I want something to play god dammit. Give me Greenskins vs Dwarves ONLY and I would be freaking happy grinding away the days until full release. Release a demo of a scenario and I could maybe survive but right now I am chomping at the bit.

 

Would you really want a half  finish game where people can really complain about lack of content and so on? You know that saying "all good things come to those who wait" well its a true saying and time moves fast so before you know it the beta will be back up with triple the amount of tester to test the new content.

I cannot stress enough that EA Mythic are doing a good thing here and are not prepare to waste this golden opportunity to bring a top mmorpg to the gaming world.

Remember DnL or is Vanguard still fresh in your memory to know what happens when you don't get it right the first time round.

Have a little patience...hmm that reminds me of a song i know.

Anyhow, concerning the AoC video - I thought it looked pretty good actually. Looks like fun. However, I share the concerns voiced by others that this demo is not at all a good indication of the actual performance in a siege battle. The majority of NPCs are in fact static which will have a much lower impact on overall performance than player characters would have. Ever since I learned about this game, I always thought that it will be interesting to see how they will pull off the performance/net-code part (Dragon Empires anyone...). Eye candy is all and good, but means nothing when the game cant handle massive numbers of players. So I remain interested, but sceptical .

You are right..Mythic have nothing to prove about their siege and RVR because they have been there and done that.Was this the big RVR-PVP showing they have been spouting on about for the last 4 weeks?i mean it just laughable to think anyone actually falls for this bull.

It all looked like a rigged demo lol any dev team on the planet could do the same.

What is DAok? think you mean DAOC(Dark Age Of Camelot)...i don't know..enlighten me on what made DAOC so unbalanced. WOW was always going to be unbalanced in PVP(warlock anybody?) because its a PVE game and the classes  were built to reflect that.

Seriously, the ONLY thing Funcom hasn't shown is siege PvP, and that's comming up in 3 weeks. If what they show sucks, then go ahead and bitch about it.

Funny comic. I was there for AO's launch, as well as beta. It was buggy, and a lot of features weren't complete either. But it was a diamond amongst a pack of zircons if you ask me. It's just that it was deep inside a big lump of coal. :p

1. Warhammer has its biggest following in Europe.

2. More than half of the initial 300.000 beta apps are from Europe with the US and other countries making up the rest.

3. DAOC.. at the start had more fans in Europe..EQ1 had a tight hold on NA..

4.GW has a massive following in the UK and Europe.

WAR will eventually get a big fan base in the US but it will take a bit of time. Contrary to believe WAR is not going to be made up of disgruntled WOW players looking for the next big thing.WAR will take a very big section off  a few mmorpgs pvp base including WOW but it will take time.

WHA(Warhammer Alliance) forums are made up of mostly Europeans check out one of their surveys to see it.

All this may change when WAR gets a hold of NA and ASIA but until then Europe will hold the most subs.

Mythic hold the key,it will be they who bring WAR to NA and Asia.I say  watch out people a jugganuat is heading your way...
