"On the 19th of august the NDA was dropped for Warhammer online, the new MMORPG written by Mythic, the creators of Dark Age Of Camelot. I was invited to the beta in february and tried to test the software. The problem is that I have two computers at home, one is too slow (Celeron 2.13GHz , 2GB Ram, GeForce 7600 GS) and a HP nx9420 Laptop with a Celeron core duo with 2.13ghz, 2GB Ram and an ATIX1600 mobility. The laptop is pretty fast and I can play a lot of state of the art games without problems, but War keeps crashing. It’s called “crash to desktop” in the beta forum. We opened a lot of tickets in the forum to make GOA (the european distributor that organizes the beta here) aware of this situation.

Nothing happened in this area. No visible attempts were made to fix this problem, no error messages have been implemented that may give us a clue what is broken. After each update we (the testers who had these problems) tried again. No change, it got even worse after some of the last patches and more people complained.

I can’t understand why these issues have not been fixed or at least an explanation was published. When this attitude regarding bugs is not changed, the warhammer release might become a big problem for mythic. Customers who buy this and get these crashes after a few seconds or minutes will turn around and never play war again, even if this is fixed (if they fix it…).

I was really happy when I was invited to the beta and I’d loved to test a lot, but obviously I could only play a few hours in these months. So if you want to buy warhammer online be aware that you may not be able to play it. The problem seems to be related to ATI cards, as the most users reported that they are using Ati GPUs. Another reason seems to be the low memory (2GB is considered low here!), although some people with 1-1.5GB Ram have been able to play without problems.

I’ll continue trying until the beta is closed. We’ll see…

Warhammer folder is 9.36GB, patcher displays ver 1.0.2.16

I am in the Elder and CB (Closed Beta) programs and for over THREE months they have REFUSED to respond to email reports about the ongoing problems with the game. The quality of support from them is atrocious, beta testers are blocked from access to their beta forums where the problems could be reported and solutions provided while they insist total secret NDA must be maintained.

They do not give a squat about the beta testers, just presenting the illusion of over 800K registered to beta test.
It is like a few guys in a room scaming ways to defraud $ from people to access their beta test and then BLOCK all access to that test and beta forum where one is supposed to report problems... scam because they are forcing people PAY TO BETA TEST, otherwise actual beta testers are relegated to 56K dial-up download torrent access to dl (download) the +9GB client. And even if one gets the client, while being blocked from access to their beta forums (they stopped allowing new users to make beta forum accounts MONTHS ago, they have no desire whatsoever for people to actually report problems with the game!) there is NO OFFICIAL forum otherwise where one can report problems. Even the support email links are bogus, they result in returned email "no such user."

Capacitor issues causing high maintenance rate among LCD TVs made in China, say sources
"Sources at passive component distributors indicated that a relatively high ratio of maintenance is being required for LCD TVs that are made in China. A look at the components inside the TVs show that problematic aluminum electrolytic capacitors installed on the controller board may be the major reason, they explained.

The sources indicated that there seems to be more LCD TVs having factory maintenance problems recently, especially for China brands and systems that were subcontracted to China-based makers for production. Some of these LCD TVs have even been recalled. But they said it is hard to estimate a concrete figures for the amount of TVs that have such problems.

A major issue may stem from the aluminum electrolytic capacitors that are installed in these LCD TVs' controller boards, the sources noted. Given that LCD TVs have higher requirements for audio processing, some passive component makers which opt for cheaper aluminum electrolytic capacitors have found the capacitors vaporize too fast. This eventually either causes unclear image or no image, the sources said. Most of these LCD TVs have been shipped to the market for less than one year, they added.

Despite solid aluminum electrolytic capacitors or other aluminum electrolytic capacitors being replaced, the sources noted that demand for these two components should not see a critical jump in the near term. Demand from maintenance can hardly compare to a demand surge that was driven by a market changing event such as the launch of the 775-pin Intel CPU in 2005."

got that pop-up after setup. From bittorent the WARBits folder (11.6GB) has 3 folders and 25 other files including 4 dll, the adobe player guide and the shortcut link. There was only about 6GB free space left in 1st partition, so even pasting the WARBits folder in another partition with 45GB free space get the same error popup.

In Wxp pro, after mouse clicking setup in the WARBits folder it brings up Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Beta Setup (wizard) clicking Next to continue brings the License Agreement check I Agree & next brings up 'Click OK to setup Warhammer Online: age of Reckoning Beta to run from here. To install Warhammer Online:Age of Reckoning Beta somewhere else, click cancel, copy this filder to the desired location and rerun this setup.'

Tried pasting the WARBits folder to a 45GB free space partition and having the same error popup.
When this setup file in the WARBits folder setup popup OK, the setup wizard brings another popup 'Completing the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Beta Setup' (checked "Run Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Beta" on this Completing popup), Finish...

That brings up the Mythic Patcher Login/Password popup; filling in that (unchecked both 'save login/ name' and 'perform full file check') OK

That brings up 0% Mythic Patcher 1.0.2.17 and it downloads 153953/153953 and then this "Patch error!" popup mentioned at the thread beginning. (the missing a large number of files popup) clicking OK on this last error popup removes the 0% Patcher.

Many months ago my beta acceptance email included notice of inclusion in the Mythic Warhammer beta forum, but trying to log in there brings "no such user" trying to register from the link in the beta user info page stalls out (IE and Firefox browsers); repeated emails sent to their customer service links at the bottom of the beta page have gone UNANSWERED THREE months now!!

Obama Sued in Philadelphia Federal Court on Grounds he is Constitutionally Ineligible for the Presidency

A prominent unethical Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed suit (Suit filed 08/21/08, No. 08-cv-4083) this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic National Committee and the Federal Election Commission. The action seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him next week, all on grounds that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.
Phillip Berg, the filing attorney, is a former gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania. According to Berg, he filed the suit--just days before the DNC is to hold its nominating convention in Denver--for the health of the Democratic Party.

"I filed this action at this time," Berg stated, "to avoid the obvious problems that will occur when the Republican Party raises these issues after Obama is nominated.".Berg cited a number of unanswered questions regarding the Illinois senator's background, and in today's lawsuit maintained that Sen. Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen or that, if he ever was, he lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia. Berg also cites what he calls "dual loyalties" due to his citizenship and ties with Kenya and Indonesia.
Even if Sen. Obama can prove his U.S. citizenship, Berg stated, citing the senator's use of a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii verified as a forgery by three independent document forensic experts, (link2 the issue of "multi-citizenship with responsibilities owed to and allegiance to other countries" remains on the table. In the lawsuit, Berg states that Sen. Obama was born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii as the senator maintains. Before giving birth, according to the lawsuit, Obama's mother traveled to Kenya with his father but was prevented from flying back to Hawaii because of the late stage of her pregnancy, "apparently a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight." As Sen. Obama's own paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister have also claimed, Berg maintains that Stanley Ann Dunham--Obama's mother--gave birth to little Barack in Kenya and subsequently flew to Hawaii to register the birth.

Berg cites inconsistent accounts of Sen. Obama's birth, including reports that he was born at two separate hospitals--Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital--in Honolulu, as well a profound lack of birthing records for Stanley Ann Dunham, though simple "registry of birth" records for Barack Obama are available in a Hawaiian public records office.
Should Sen. Obama truly have been born in Kenya, Berg writes, the laws on the books at the time of his birth hold that U.S. citizenship may only pass to a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and non-citizen parent if the former was at least 19 years of age. Sen. Obama's mother was only 18 at the time. Therefore, because U.S. citizenship could not legally be passed on to him, Obama could not be registered as a "natural born" citizen and would therefore be ineligible to seek the presidency pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution.
Moreover, even if Sen. Obama could have somehow been deemed "natural born," that citizenship was lost in or around 1967 when he and his mother took up residency in Indonesia, where Stanley Ann Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian citizen. Berg also states that he possesses copies of Sen. Obama's registration to Fransiskus Assisi School In Jakarta, Indonesia which clearly show that he was registered under the name "Barry Soetoro" and his citizenship listed as Indonesian.The Hawaiian birth certificate, Berg says, is a forgery. In the suit, the attorney states that the birth certificate on record is a forgery, has been identified as such by three independent document forensic experts, and actually belonged to Maya Kasandra Soetoro, Sen. Obama's half-sister.
"Voters donated money, goods and services to elect a nominee and were defrauded by Sen. Obama's lies and obfuscations," Berg stated. "If the DNC officers ... had performed one ounce of due diligence we would not find ourselves in this emergency predicament, one week away from making a person the nominee who has lost their citizenship as a child and failed to even perform the basic steps of regaining citizenship as prescribed by constitutional laws."

"It is unfair to the country," he continued, "for candidates of either party to become the nominee when there is any question of the ability to serve if elected."

President Warren Harding, the 29th president, (1921-1923) apparently never denied his ancestry. According to Vaughn, William Chancellor, a professor of economics and politics at Wooster College in Ohio, wrote a book on the Harding family genealogy. Evidently, Harding had black ancestors between both sets of parents. Chancellor also said that Harding attended Iberia College, a school founded to educate fugitive slaves.

VP/Pres Coolidge, the nation's 30th president, (1923-1929) supposedly was proud of his heritage. He claimed his mother (Victoria Josephine Moor Coolidge) was dark because of mixed Indian ancestry. Coolidge's mother's maiden name was "Moor" and in Europe the name "Moor" was given to all blacks just as "Negro" was used in the pc parts of the US. It later was concluded that Coolidge was part black.

The only difference between Obama and these former presidents is that none of their family histories were fully acknowledged by others. Even though Obama is half-white (44% arabic, 6% negro, [Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab {his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not African Negro}]) he strongly resembles his Kenyan father. And not only is Obama open about his ancestry, most people acknowledge him as a black man, which is why people will identify Obama, when elected, as the first black president of the United States.
