Like the posts above explained, they all mysteriously disappeared from Tamriel. Their last known place of residence were the mountains between Skyrim and Morrowind. Interestingly enough, the dwarves in Skyrim weren't your typical whimsical mini warriors as seen in many fantastical plots. The dwarves/dwemers were a form of ELVES. A highly technologically advanced race of, relatively, short elves. Who would have known?

There are three main factions in the ESO. Once the game launches, which alliance do you plan on joining? Remember to have pride in your choice. There IS worry that one faction will overwhelm the other two, or vice-verse, but there is always the choice for two alliance to team up and kill off the dominating players......are you willing to do so?

ESO Character Creation/Customization
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 1/27/13 4:33:31 PM
Thanks for the input deakon, also found some info on this site actually, lol. "As I mentioned in the big preview yesterday, the character creation (even in pre-Alpha) is pretty deep and on part with other TES games. You can tweak and change every facet of the character’s face, as well as the girth and size of their body. Though you won’t be able to make arms longer, or legs disproportionate, you can make a fat Argonian if it pleases you. Rejoice! Though we’re told there will be more options in time, the one area that was limited was the hair. Just not many styles early on, and though many of us will wind up with helmets, don’t forget the RP-folk! After you’ve got the looks just right, you pick your first name and surname (or just the former if you prefer) and off you go. Once you get to actually playing and leveling… that’s where things get deep." |

Poll: Which payment model is ideal for ESO?
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 1/27/13 3:56:47 PM
I would be awesome if Zenimax made it a B2P with cash shop. It's so simple and it's the perfect option for this game especially. I really doubt that they will make ESO a subscription from the get-go because no one does it anymore except WoW. Due to that fact, I doubt that a majority of the population will pay a monthly fee for this one game, which hasn't proven it self yet, when there are like a hundred other games that are B2P or are free all together. The only reason that WoW has managed to keep it up is because WoW has been around for 8 years and throughout that time, people have made long lasting relationships and friendships through the game which they don't want to break off from. Although, there IS a big advantage to a monthly subscription as it will allow Zenimax to make a HUGE amount of money, especially in the first month or so of its release. That extra money goes into pretty big improvements and additions to what will most likely be an already amazing game. Expansions and voice acted NPCs take up a lot of money. Thats why I would be in favor of a monthly subscription. BUT the supscription would have to be like 5$ which I wouldn't mind at all. 5 bucks is the cost of a sandwich which is nothing. I would gladly give up 5$ a month if it meant expansions and more improvements. I would MAYBE give 10$ but then we would have to take into account the game's end game and what it has to offer. So to put it briefly, Definitely B2P with cash store. OR Monthly subscription but only 5$ |

ESO Character Creation/Customization
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 1/27/13 3:35:15 PM
There has been a lot of information constantly being released from Zenimax Online Studios but there is still so much that we are in the dark about. From what has been given out thus far, from screenshots and interviews, it looks like the artwork is playing a huge factor as it has in Skyrim. And, personally, I've gotta say that it looks gorgeous even if it is a little cartoonish. And from what one ESO Alpha participant commented, the screenshots don't do the game any justice as the graphics are 10 times better than what we are currently being shown. If the characters look a little dumbed down as well, compared to the realistic Skyrim scenery, it's due to the fact that during PvP wars in Cyrodiil the developers want to make it possible for over 200 players to fit onto a computer screen at any one time while at the same time, reducing lag for the players. Now, I'm not sure if this question has been answered already in a previous thread, and if it was then I'm sorry for asking it again, but has anyone heard as to how character customization will work in the beginning of the game? Will it be similar to Skyrim with the multitude of options to alter body size, facial features, etc. I'm aware that most of the customization will take place throughout the game as a player individualizes their style of game play and armor but, simply put, how detailed will the initial character customization be? Like Skyrim, or like WoW?
