Then crackerjack2 or LordBaldur who posted that message once and had it deleted then decided to post it YET AGAIN! How much warning do you need? Just listen to what they tell you if you don't want to have to pay another £20 each time to get a new account.

In fact given that you both have bought several accounts because you got banned, particularly Phil, don't you think it would have been cheaper to verm say £5 every few months and not buy a new account (£20)  every few months? You would then not be able to be shot down with "put your money where your mouth is" and such comments and you would therefore have a lower risk of being banned and an overall lower cost to play the game!

I don't necessarily agree with the censorship on the official forums but its a fact of life, these forums are here for uncensored comments about the game (within limits of decency) and you would be better off to stick your gripes here. Farside's post which flags up these forums was left intact so its not like anyone has any excuse to not know about these forums and just take the official site as gospel truth. At least RB are not removing every single mention of mmorpg.com and pretending it doesn't exist, if you take both sites together and see through the various personal gripes involved there is a fairly balanced view of the game IMO.

 

 

actually, I haven't bought this account, and have been using it for a long time now, I didn't leave because I got banned a second time, I left because of skill decay

The last account was an account somebody else bought me btw, wich particularly pissed me off.

and the welcome I get from the barbarians every time I return suggest that I AM welcome in game, despite what KFR says.

also, ExZ was IP banned for posting it on here, wich kinda makes your point invalid.

also, if I ever feel inclined to post on the forums again, I shall use my home built wi-fi antenna, wich is beefy enough to give me a fairly large selection of networks to connect to.

You don't have to VERM if you don't want to. Also there is a thing called a JOB. It's wonderful because you actually get MONEY to spend for working. What a concept!

You DO however have to VERM if you want any kind of civil response from KFR and/or customer suppoert and/or don't want to get banned from the forums with a nasty comment such as "freeloader, you never contributed anything, then you complain our game is shitty?" when the whole point of the game used to be that you didn't have to, in the past you didn't get badmouthed for not paying RB money... why do we now?

well, I have just started playing again (I know, I'm a sucker for punishment.)

and I must say skill loss has improved things, along with the abundance of animals and them actually respawning, I can see myself actually building a hut in the future. The game is still in a dire state, but the devs are flooding the game with new content atm, so it's all good.

PS: I say this as another true vet, vepgenus is a noob in any real vet's eyes...

I remember how many times when a new device is put in it needs certain skills, the only way to get those was to have Kanoth login Longinus and teach them.  The list goes on.  Especially from the Barbarian side.

We are all aware that nothing is perfect. 

The once fabled community is still there, but only in the IRC channels and occasionally some people on the fora. Most are moving on to other games, like Tabula rasa, PotBS, shadowbane, etc... And I can't blame them, in fact I plan on joining themas soon as my ISP fixes my connection.

I won't add any massive rants about the customer-dev relationship and how it's degraded here, because all has been said and done.

Hardly adult are they and yet they are among the keenest players of the game.

anyone with screenies of the new interface updates etc please post away i am particularly keen to discover why the guys at RB have decided now is the time for the "big push" on the ad front. Its as if they think that the game is now suddenly ready for the mass market...could have fooled me!!
